Abstract

Silver is usually loaded on nano‐titanium dioxide (TiO2) through photodeposition method to enhance visible‐light catalytic functions for environment purification. However, little is known about how the toxicity changes after silver doping and how the physicochemical properties of loaded components affect nanocomposite toxicity. In this study, Ag‐TiO2 with different sizes and contents of silver particles were obtained by controlling photodeposition time (PDT) and silver addition amount. Pro‐inflammatory and pro‐fibrogenic responses of these photocatalysts were evaluated in male C57BL/6J murine lung. As a result, silver was well assembled on TiO2, promoting visible‐light catalytic activity. Notably, the size of silver particles increased with PDT. Meanwhile, toxicity results showed that pure TiO2 (P25) mainly caused neutrophil infiltration, while 2 wt/wt% silver‐loaded TiO2 recruited more types of inflammatory cells in the lung. Both of them caused the increase of proinflammatory cytokines while decreasing the anti‐inflammatory cytokine in bronchoalveolar lavage fluid. However, 2 wt/wt% silver doping also accelerated the lung pro‐fibrogenic response of photocatalysts in the subacute phase from evidence of collagen deposition and hydroxyproline concentrations. Mechanistically, the overactivation of TGFBR2 receptors in TGF‐β/smads pathways by silver‐loaded TiO2 rather than pure TiO2 may be the reason why silver‐loaded TiO2 can promote pro‐fibrogenic effect response. Intriguingly, the increased toxicity caused by silver doping can be rescued by increasing the size of the loaded silver or decreasing the silver amount. 17. A Comprehensive Study on the Hydrogeochemical and Isotope Characteristics and Genetic Mechanism of Geothermal Water in the Northern Jinan Region.

Abstract

Geothermal water (GW) resources are highly valued as clean, renewable energy sources. In this study, a comprehensive analysis of water chemistry and isotope data from 25 GW samples was conducted to gain insights into the hydrochemical characteristics and formation mechanisms of the GW in the northern Jinan region (NJR). Statistical analysis and hydrochemical methods were employed for relevant analysis. The findings reveal that the GW in the NJR exhibits high salinity, with an average total dissolved solids (TDS) concentration of 9009.00 mg/L. The major ions identified are Na+ and Cl−, with mean concentrations of 2829.73 mg/L and 4425.77 mg/L, respectively, resulting in a hydrochemical type of Cl−Na. The analysis of δ2H and δ18O isotopes indicates that the GW originates from atmospheric precipitation that undergoes deep cycling and interaction with older groundwater. The composition of 3H suggests that the GW in the NJR is a mixture of waters, while radiocarbon dating (14C) suggests that the recharge of the GW may have occurred in the late Pleistocene era. The GW in the NJR is classified as partially equilibrated waters. The temperature range of geothermal reservoirs is 57.13 to 99.74 °C. The hydrochemical components primarily result from water–rock interactions, including silicate weathering, cation exchange, as well as carbonate weathering and the dissolution of halite and gypsum. Moreover, taking into account the hydrogeological conditions, hydrochemistry, and isotope analysis, a conceptual model of the geothermal reservoir in the NJR was developed. The research findings serve as a valuable reference and foundation for the development and utilization of geothermal resources in the Jinan region. These originate from the Taiyi mountains in the south or the Taihang mountains in the west, and experience deep circulation and long runoff times. Abstract

Epithelioid hemangioendothelioma (EHE) is a rare soft-tissue vascular neoplasm with a prevalence of one in one million. The present study firstly reports two cases of EHE occurring in the auricle. The clinical, histopathological and immunohistochemical features of two patients with auricular EHE are described, and the associated literature are reviewed. Two adult male patients each presented with an asymptomatic, unilateral soft skin-colored noninflammatory swelling of the auricle. Based on their clinical manifestations, both patients were initially diagnosed with auricular pseudocysts. Auricular excision surgery was performed under general anesthesia. The resected specimens were sent for pathological examination. Immunohistochemical examination showed that the specimens were positive for CD31, CD34, friend leukemia integration 1 (FLI-1), coagulation factor 8 and E26 transformation-specific-related gene, which was consistent with EHE. Follow-up after surgery showed no evidence of tumor recurrence. It may be concluded EHEs of low malignancy should be included in the differential diagnosis of patients with auricular pseudocysts. EHEs can be diagnosed based on their morphological and histological characteristics, with immunohistochemical positivity for FLI-1 and CD31 being suggestive of a diagnosis of EHE. Abstract

The fast convergence without initial value dependence is the key of large angle relative directional solution. Therefore, a hybrid conjugate gradient algorithm is proposed in this paper. The concrete process is:① stochastic hill climbing(SHC) algorithm is used to make random disturbance to the given initial value of the relative directional element, and the new value to guarantee the optimization direction is generated; ② In local optimization, super-linear convergent conjugate gradient method is used to replace the steepest descent method in relative orientation to improve its convergence rate; ③ The global convergence condition is that the calculation error is less than the prescribed limit error. The comparison experiment shows that the method proposed in this paper is independent of initial value, has higher accuracy and fewer iterations.
