Epiphytic lichens require an even climate (no major changes in temperature and humidity) and continuity in the forest to thrive and grow, but forestry and its clear cutting destroys these habitats. The consequences are particularly serious when it occurs in forests with a high degree of management continuity. Clearcutting results in fragmentation of the forest landscape, which increases the difficulties for epiphytic lichens to find suitable habitat. In an edge zone that forms between forest fragments and clearcutting, the microclimate changes considerably, implying for example increased light, change in temperature and humidity and higher wind speed. This study examined how Alectoria, Bryoria and Usnea are affected by edge zones between forest and watercourses and clearcuts to test if these differ from forest without an edge zone. The study also examined what effect the canopy opening (light) has on the epiphytic lichen. The result showed that there was a significant difference in the occurrence of epiphytic lichens between the different edge zones and forests without any edge zone. Canopy opening also had an impact of the epiphytic lichens, where Bryoria was generally positively affected of it. Cautious conclusions that can be drawn from this study are that Usnea can live in different types of forests and light conditions, Bryoria needs a lot of sunlight and Alectoria wants a stable microclimate without rapid changes in light, moisture and wind conditions. Previous research states that there are many factors that come into play to explain the effect a certain edge has on a certain lichen, something also established in this study

Syftet med denna litteraturstudie är att få fördjupade kunskaper om hur kooperativt lärande kan användas vid problemlösning i undervisningen, genom att undersöka vilka faktorer som påverkar kooperativt lärande. En systematisk litteraturstudie genomfördes, där 10 studier inom området analyserades genom tematisk analys. Resultaten tyder på att kooperativt lärande kan användas för att öka förståelse och kunskap inom matematik. I studien framgår det att lärarens roll och elevernas samspel är viktiga faktorer för ett gott kooperativt lärande. Vidare identifieras också elevernas förkunskaper samt uppgiftens karaktär och svårighet som viktiga aspekter. Genom att ta del av denna studie kan lärare få fördjupad förståelse i hur kooperativt lärande kan organiseras. På så sätt kan lärare känna sig tryggare i undervisningsmetoden och förebygga tidigare upplevd problematik.

Primordial follicles are important for the reproduction cycle and, therefore, also for the survival of the whole population of a species. Mammals have a large pool of primordial follicles, and it is thought that this pool represents the total number of oocytes. The aim of the present study was to determine the total primordial follicle number of juvenile ringed seals (Pusa hispida) from the Gulf of Bothnia and Greenland. Overall, 52 ovaries from two ringed seal populations (West Greenland (N = 6), Gulf of Bothnia, region in the Baltic Sea (N = 46)) were examined. All ovaries were cut into 2 mm thick slices and every slice was embedded in paraffin. Out of each tissue block, a 5 µm thick section was cut and stained with haematoxylin-eosin. The mean volume of the follicles and the total volume of primordial follicles per ovary were estimated by stereology and used to calculate the total estimated number of primordial follicles. The median of the total estimated number of primordial follicles seemed to be higher in Baltic individuals than in Greenland individuals (Gulf of Bothnia = 565,657; Greenland Sea = 122,475). This widens the total range of primordial follicles in ringed seals overall and might bear some potential for discussions regarding the influence of endocrine disruptors and environmental influences depending on different regions/populations and their exposure to various factors. Thus, this study aims to provide basic reference data of the number and mean volume of ringed seal primordial follicles.

Bakgrund: Ett barn som drabbas av ett hjärtstopp är något av det mest traumatiska en barnsjuksköterska kan ställas inför på barnakutmottagningen. Brist på teamsamarbete är en starkt bidragande faktor till ökad stress hos akutpersonalen. Vid ett hjärtstopp krävs effektivt teamsamarbete mellan olika professioner och att teamets kompetenser kompletterar varandra. Det är barnsjuksköterskans ansvar att tillgodose omvårdnadsbehovet hos barnet och dess familj. Syfte: var att utforska barnsjuksköterskans upplevelser av teamsamarbete vid hjärtstopp hos barn på barnakutmottagning. Metodbeskrivning: En kvalitativ metod valdes för att utföra denna studie. Genom ett strategiskt urval intervjuades tio sjuksköterskor som arbetar på barnakutmottagning. Analysen genomfördes med hjälp av kvalitativ innehållsanalys med induktiv ansats. Resultat: Barnsjuksköterskans upplevelse av teamsamarbete identifierades som att involvera föräldrarna, uppleva trygghet genom erfarenhet, hantera utmanande situationer, föra en dialog genom ord och handlingar samt att finnas där för varandra. För att uppnå en väl fungerande teamsamverkan menade barnsjuksköterskorna att övning, förberedelse, samarbete, tydligt ledarskap och rollfördelning var viktiga aspekter. Slutsatser: För att få samskapande omvårdnad och genom interaktioner skapa teamsamarbete utmärkte sig två begrepp genom hela studien vilka var trygghet och kommunikation. Background: A child suffering from a cardiac arrest is one of the most traumatic things a paediatric nurse can face at the paediatric emergency department. Lack of teamwork is a strong contributing factor to increased stress among emergency personnel. In the event of a cardiac arrest, effective team collaboration between different professions is required and the team´s competencies complement each other. It is the paediatric nurse´s responsibility to meet the child´s and their family´s need for care. Aim: Was to explore paediatric nurse´s experiences of teamwork in cardiac arrest on children in paediatric emergency departments. Method: A qualitative method was chosen for this study. Through a strategic selection, ten nurses working at the paediatric emergency department were interviewed. The analysis was made with the help of qualitative content analysis with an inductive approach. Result: The paediatric nurse´s experience of teamwork was identified as involving the parents, feeling safety through experience, managing challenging situations, conducting a dialogue through words and actions and being there for each other. In order to achieve a well-functioning team collaboration, the paediatric nurses believed that training, preparation, cooperation, leadership, and division of roles were important aspects. Conclusion: In order to receive co-creative nursing and through interactions create team collaboration, two concepts stood out throughout the study, which were safety and communication.

Persistent organic pollutants (POPs) are industrial chemicals resistant to degradation and have been shown to have adverse effects on reproductive health in wildlife and humans. Although regulations have reduced their levels, they are still ubiquitously present and pose a global concern. Here, we studied a cohort of 185 women aged 21-43 years with a median of 2 years of infertility who were seeking assisted reproductive technology (ART) treatment at the Carl von Linne Clinic in Uppsala, Sweden. We analyzed the levels of 9 organochlorine pesticides (OCPs), 10 polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs), 3 polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDEs), and 8 perfluoroalkyl substances (PFASs) in the blood and follicular fluid (FF) samples collected during ovum pick-up. Impact of age on chemical transfer from blood to FF was analyzed. Associations of chemicals, both individually and as a mixture, to 10 ART endpoints were investigated using linear, logistic, and weighted quantile sum regression, adjusted for age, body mass index, parity, fatty fish intake and cause of infertility. Out of the 30 chemicals, 20 were detected in more than half of the blood samples and 15 in FF. Chemical transfer from blood to FF increased with age. Chemical groups in blood crossed the blood-follicle barrier at different rates: OCPs > PCBs > PFASs. Hexachlorobenzene, an OCP, was associated with lower anti-Miillerian hormone, clinical pregnancy, and live birth. PCBs and PFASs were associated with higher antral follicle count and ovarian response as measured by ovarian sensitivity index, but also with lower embryo quality. As a mixture, similar findings were seen for the sum of PCBs and PFASs. Our results suggest that age plays a role in the chemical transfer from blood to FF and that exposure to POPs significantly associates with ART outcomes. We strongly encourage further studies to elucidate the underlying mechanisms of reproductive effects of POPs in humans.

Den här studien handlar om att skapa kunskap och förståelse om hur lärare i fritidshem ser på sitt arbete med inkludering av elever med neuropsykiatriska funktionsvariationer. Det har gjorts genom en kvantitativ och kvalitativ enkätundersökning som lärare i fritidshem runt om i Sverige fått svara på. Studien utgår från det relationella teoretiska perspektivet utvecklat av von Wright (2000) och Aspelin (2011; 2013) som förklarar att jaget blir till i sin relation till andra människor och sina omgivningar. Genom att analysera svaren på enkäten och luta dem mot tidigare forskning presenteras hur lärare i fritidshem ser på sin egen förmåga kring inkludering, såväl som vad som skulle underlätta dem för dem i det fortsatta arbetet med inkludering.

AMD causes a substantial burden on patients, reducing independence, their ability to conduct daily activities, and increasing rates of cognitive decline and depression. There is a significant unmet need for patients with AMD, which will grow as the population ages and rates of disease increase. In the past, many studies have demonstrated a benefit when coexisting cataract formation is treated by removing the cloudy lens. AMD-lenses are intraocular implants designed to improve visual acuity in patients with AMD, avoiding the need for cumbersome manual vision aids and magnifiers. Many IOLs have been investigated in AMD, with differing mechanisms aimed at overcoming visual impairment. Most AMD studies use Early Treatment Diabetic Retinopathy Study (ETDRS) chart-based assessments of vision, but BCVA does not correlate with lesion size or pattern, especially in geographic atrophy, and may not be the most appropriate measure to effectively assess vision defects in AMD before or after a cataract surgery. One option is a simple functional assessment of vision related to activities of daily living (ADL), based on a reproducible, task-based questionnaire. The test consists of 6 assessments of ADL to be completed by patients before and after cataract surgery. Experiences highlight the importance of including an assessment of ADL in patients receiving an implant, which gives an effective measure of patient satisfaction. We would welcome the use of similar questionnaires in larger studies of patients, to validate its utility in a broader patient population. In this review article, we (Scandinavian-Austrian-cooperation) summarize lenses designed for implantation in patients with AMD, and how best to improve outcomes through proper patient selection, appropriate vision evaluation using quality-of-life related assessment, and pre- and post-operative care.Keywords: activities of daily life test, AMD, cataract, intraocular lens

Denna uppsats undersöker hur några svenska private equity bolag arbetar för att skapa värde i sina portföljbolag. Tidigare studier har huvudsakligen gjorts på amerikanska och brittiska företag och det är därför av intresse att undersöka svenska private equity bolag. Utifrån litteraturgenomgången identifierades tre teoretiska koncept som betydande för private equity bolagens värdeskapande arbetet: mål, strategisk planering och humankapital. Dessa teoretiska koncept som användes för att analysera data som samlats in genom semistrukturerade intervjuer. Resultaten visar att (1) målformulering är en styrande faktor såväl som utgångspunkten för det värdeskapande arbetet för PE-företagen. (2) Den strategiska planen skapas redan innan due diligence genomförs och att regelbundna avstämningar görs för att följa upp planen. (3) Företag använder styrtekniker som är en förutsättning för att implementera de operativa teknikerna. In previous years, research has been conducted on private equity and the value creation investors carry out in their portfolio companies. Earlier studies have mainly been done on American and British companies, it is therefore of interest to investigate Swedish private equity companies. A research question was formulated as follows: How do Swedish private equity companies create value in their portfolio companies? To answer the question, semi-structured interviews were conducted with four persons employed at different private equity firms. Information was examined and also used from previous research. The results show that (1) goals are a governing factor as well as the starting point for the value-creating work for the PE companies. (2) The strategic plan is created even before the implementation of due diligence and that regular reconciliation are made to follow up the plan. (3) The PE companies exploit their human capital throughout the value-creating process, but above all in the follow-up of the strategic plan and the formulation of goals.

The prevalence of intestinal ulcers and parasites was investigated in 2172 grey seals (Halichoerus grypus) collected in the Baltic Sea and 49 grey seals collected outside the Baltic Sea (i.e., the Atlantic). An increase in frequency of ileocaeco-colonic ulcers was observed in the early 1980s, followed by a decrease in the mid-1990s. At the same time, there was an increase followed by a decrease in brominated flame retardants, Perfluorooctanesulfonic acid (PFOS) and cadmium levels in herring (Clupea harengus), the most common prey item in Baltic grey seal diet, as well as in another top predator in the Baltic, the common guillemot (Uria aalge). The frequency of intestinal ulcers was significantly related to the intensity of acanthocephalan parasites, the age of the seal and the region of the Baltic Sea. Perforation of the intestinal wall was the cause of death in 26 of the investigated Baltic grey seals. In contrast, none of the investigated Atlantic grey seals had intestinal ulcers. They showed a thin colonic wall and very few acanthocephalan parasites. The high prevalence of intestinal ulcers and the high parasite intensity appear to be unique to the Baltic population of grey seals.

Many critical business scholars have disregarded sustainability standards and corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities as mere window dressing, operating as a smokescreen to hide illegitimate corporate practices. Others have pointed to these activities as hegemonic articulations, as a way to strengthen corporate alliances with and dominance over other actors in society. In this study I take an autoethnographic approach and focus on my previous employer, the oil company Bankers Petroleum Ltd. (Bankers) and their operations in Patos-Marinza, an area in south-central Albania where oil extraction facilities and residences lie close to one another. Through the lens of the Gramscian concept of hegemony and Political Discourse Theory, I examine three grievances raised by Patos-Marinza residents and Bankers’ response to these complaints. My analysis shows how community demands, that could otherwise have put pressure on improved corporate practices, were isolated and silenced in the name of sustainability and corporate responsibility. My conclusion is that rather than disregarding compliance to sustainability standards and CSR activities as window dressing, it is important to examine what these do in specific empirical contexts. As sustainability discourses continue to expand in the corporate world, this study highlights the need to critically examine if they foster change away from harmful business models or simply function as legitimising mechanisms that allow corporate power to grow stronger. När företags hållbarhetsarbete diskuteras inom den företagsekonomiska forskningen så har vissa forskare påpekat att det ofta inte är mer än vackra ord, medan illegitima och skadliga företagsverksamheter fortsätter. Andra forskare har beskrivit företags hållbarhetsarbete som maktverktyg som på lika sätt stärker företags dominans över andra aktörer i samhället. I denna avhandling undersöker jag hur företags hållbarhetsarbete påverkar maktrelationer på lokal nivå, genom att fokusera på oljeföretaget Bankers Petroleum Ltd. (Bankers) och deras verksamhet i Patos-Marinza, ett område i sydcentrala Albanien där oljebrunnar och hushåll ligger sida vid sida. Mellan 2010 och 2015 arbetade jag som konsult och senare som anställd på Bankers avdelning för samhällsansvar i Patos-Marinza. I avhandlingen använder jag mig av autoetnografisk metod, vilket betyder att jag skriver om och analyserar min egen roll i ämnet som jag studerar. Genom Gramscis teori om hegemoni och politisk diskursteori, så undersöker jag tre specifika klagomål från lokalsamhället i Patos-Marinza och Bankers svar på dessa. Dessa tre klagomålsprocesser understryker hur Bankers implementering av internationella hållbarhetsstandards gynnade företagets allians med övriga samhället, skapade splittring i lokalsamhället och förstärkte företagets sanningsanspråk genom samhällsdialoger, teknologi och experter. Min slutsats är att det är viktigt att inte avfärda företags hållbarhetsarbete som tomma ord utan istället undersöka vad hållbarhetsdiskurser ’gör’ i specifika kontexter. Eftersom tal om hållbarhet är ett dominerande inslag i stora företags kommunikation idag är det viktigt att kritiskt granska om detta leder till förändring bort från skadliga företagsmodeller eller om det endast fungerar som legitimerande mekanismer som ger företag större makt. Disa studiues të biznesit i kanë shpërfillur standardet e qëndrueshmërisë dhe aktivitetet e përgjegjësisë shoqërore të korporatave (PSHK), duke i konsideruar ato thjesht si dekorues vitrinash, që shërbejnë si një perde tymi, për të fshehur prak­tikat e paligjshme të korporatave. Të tjerë i kanë parë këto aktivitete si artikulime dominuese, si një mënyrë për të forcuar aleancat e korporatave me aktorë të tjerë në shoqëri dhe dominimin ndaj tyre. Në këtë punim doktorature unë kam trajtuar lidhjen midis fuqisë së korporatave me zbatimin e standardeve të qëndrueshmërisë dhe me praktikat e PSHK-së në nivel vendor, duke u përqendruar në kompaninë kanadeze të naftës “Bankers Petroleum Ltd.” (Bankers) dhe operacionet e tyre në Patos-Marinëz, një zonë në Shqipërinë Jugqendrore, ku zona naftënxjerrëse është shumë pranë asaj të banuar. Gjatë viteve 2010-2015, kam qenë e përfshirë si konsulente dhe pjesë e stafit të Departamentit të Marrëdhënieve me Komunitetin në kompaninë Bankers në Patos-Marinëz. Në këtë disertacion unë kam përdorur një qasje autoetnografike, që do të thotë se unë shkruaj rreth rolit tim dhe e analizoj atë në çështjen që po studioj. Përmes lenteve të teorisë së Antonio Gramsci-it dhe të ligjërimit politik, unë shqyrtoj dy qasje konkurruese në Patos-Marinëz. Qasja që i përshkruante operacionet e kompanisë si një “investim” ishte rrëfimi dominues i Bankers-it. “Investimi” ishte një rrëfim që synonte mbylljen, që i përfshinte “të gjithë” si për­fitues nga industria e naftës dhe duke u përpjekur në këtë mënyrë të pakësonte ankesat dhe kërkesat nga shoqëria duke i plotësuar ato. Sidoqoftë, kërkesat e tjera nga komunitetet e Patos-Marinzës përbënin një rrezik për këtë vizion gjithëpërfshirës. Filloi të artikulohej një qasje tjetër kundërdominuese, që e shikonte aktivitetin e kompanisë si një “pushtim”. U bënë ankesa, u formuan grupe pro­testuesish, u dëmtuan depozita nafte dhe u bllokuan rrugë. Për ta thelluar analizën time të kësaj dinamike konfliktuale, unë jam ndalur në tri ankesa specifike të ngritura nga komuniteti i Patos-Marinzës dhe në përgjigjen e Bankers-it ndaj këtyre ankesave. Këto tri fusha të ankesave nxjerrin në pah se si zbatimi i standardeve ndërkombëtare të qëndrueshmërisë nga Bankers-i ishte faktor mbështetës për zgjerimin e aleancave të korporatës. Përfundimi im është që, në vend që të shpërfillet pajtueshmëria me standardet e qëndrueshmërisë dhe aktivitetet e PSHK-së e të konsiderohen si dekorues vitrinash, e rëndësishme është të shqyrtohet se çfarë bëjnë këto në kontekste specifike empirike dhe se si, në emër të qëndrueshmërisë dhe përgjegjësisë së korporatës, izolohen dhe “u mbyllet goja” kërkesave, që në të kundërt, mund të përdoren për të ushtruar presion për për­mirësimin e praktikave të korporatave.

This study presents research about the virtual experience room, more specific theKarantänfestivalen Unplugged. The purpose of this study is to analyse how the virtualexperience room Karantänfestivalen Unplugged is built and also how committed consumersare during a virtual event. This will be answered by three research questions. The researchquestions affect inclusion of consumers at a distance, important factors from the physicalexperience room and also how consumers judge the virtual experience room in terms ofcomments.The research questions will be answered with help from the model The Virtual ExperienceRoom that is created by the authors of this study. The model is based on the two models TheExperience Room Model and The Four Realms of An Experience. Also the important factorsregarding the experience room from Mossberg and Bitner. The study is written from aqualitative approach where the collection of the data has been done through a case study. Thecase study was made from the virtual experience room Karantänfestivalen Unplugged througha document and video study. The documents and the video was analysed from a contentanalysis with help from the model that was mentioned above.The result shows that Karantänfestivalen Unplugged includes its consumers in a way that itmakes it possible for them to participate more spontaneously than if it was a physical event.And also that the consumers are able to ask questions to the artists and employees of theevent. The main factors in a virtual experience room are considered to be customerengagement, technology, object language and intangible artefacts, which is presented in themodel The Virtual Experience Room. Finally, it can be considered that consumers of a virtualevent will express their opinions through writing in a comment that they will publish on aplatform where the event is being observed.The study is written in Swedish. I denna studie presenteras forskning kring det virtuella upplevelserummet Karantänfestivalen Unplugged. Syftet med studien är att analysera hur det virtuella upplevelserummet Karantänfestivalen Unplugged är uppbyggt samt hur engagerade konsumenter är under ett virtuellt evenemang. Detta besvaras genom tre forskningsfrågor. Forskningsfrågorna berörinkludering av konsumenter på distans, viktiga faktorer som kan appliceras från det fysiska upplevelserummet samt hur konsumenter bedömer det virtuella upplevelserummet i form av kommentarer. Forskningsfrågorna besvaras med hjälp av den egenskapade modellen Det Virtuella Upplevelserummet som baseras på modellerna The Experience Room Model och The Four Realms of An Experience, samt Mossberg och Bitners viktiga faktorer i ett upplevelserum. Studien är skriven utifrån en kvalitativ infallsvinkel där insamlingen av data har gjorts genomen fallstudie. Fallstudien gjordes på det virtuella upplevelserummet Karantänfestivalen Unplugged genom en dokument- och videostudie. Dokumenten och videon analyserades utifrån en innehållsanalys med hjälp av modellen som tidigare nämnts. Resultatet visar att Karantänfestivalen Unplugged inkluderar konsumenterna genom att spontant deltagande kan ske på ett annat sätt än vid fysiska evenemang samt att konsumenterna får ställa frågor till artisterna och personalen. Huvudfaktorerna i ett virtuellt upplevelserum anses vara kundengagemang, teknologi, object language och ogripbara artefakter, vilket visas i modellen Det Virtuella Upplevelserummet. Slutligen kan det konstateras att konsumenter av ett virtuellt evenemang uttrycker sina åsikter genom att skrivadet i en kommentar som de sedan publicerar på den plattform där de följer sändningen.

Introduktion: Leukemi är den vanligaste cancerformen hos barn innebär en lång påfrestande behandlingstid, en hel familj drabbas vid fastställd diagnos och skapar problem fysiskt, psykiskt och emotionellt. Syfte: Syftet med denna litteraturstudie är att beskriva föräldrars upplevelser av när deras barn har leukemi. Metod: Litteraturstudien är byggd utifrån Polit & Beck (2017) niostegs flödesschema. 8 kvalitativa och 3 kvantitativa artiklar valdes ut med huvudfokus på föräldrarnas upplevelser. Resultat: Vid fastställd diagnos drabbas föräldrarna av en känsla av total förlust, chock och rädsla att förlora sitt barn. Till en början har föräldrarna väldigt svårt att ta till sig ny information och det krävs mycket repetition ifrån vårdpersonalen. Vardagen blir helt upp- och nervänd vilket innebär en förändring i föräldrarnas livssituation som påverkar dem på olika sätt. Slutsats: Information visas vara ett av de viktigaste som föräldrarna behöver genom hela sjukdomsförloppet, det kan tilldelas ifrån olika vårdpersonal om det så handlar om sjukdomen i sig, vem dom kan vända sig till eller hur de kan söka emotionell support.

Bakgrund: Diabetes typ 1 är en av de vanligaste förekommande folksjukdomarna i Sverige. För personer i ungdomsåren med diabetes typ 1 äger en transition från barn till vuxen hälso- och sjukvård rum vid någon punkt i dess liv. Transitionen är en övergång från en fas i livet till en annan och är en viktig del av ens liv som inte alltid är enkel även om strävan mot anpassning är önskvärd. Syfte: Syftet med litteraturstudien är att utifrån barn diagnostiserade med diabetes typ 1 kartlägga upplevelser av transitionen från barn till vuxen hälso- och sjukvård.Metod: En kvalitativ litteraturstudie baserad på 11 vetenskapliga studier från databaserna CINAHL, Psycinfo och PubMed. De vetenskapliga studierna lästes igenom och relevansgranskades utifrån inklusions och exlusionskriterierna för att sedan kvalitetsgranskas och sammanfattas i en metasyntes. Resultat: Resultatet visar att barn upplevde såväl oro som ivrighet inför sitt ökade egenansvar. De upplevde oväntade skillnader mellan hälso- och sjukvården för barn och vuxna. Inför transitionen ansåg de sig ha fått bristfällig information om dess innebörd för dem som personer och för deras sjukdom. De uttryckte även en förbättringspotential gällande transitionen. Konklusion: Litteraturstudien kartlägger hur barn diagnostiserade med diabetes upplever transitionen från barn till vuxen hälso- och sjukvård. Transitionen är en tidsperiod förknippad med oro och rädsla inför en förändrad framtid vilket barn upplever sig otillräckligt förberedda inför och informerade om. Således en tidsperiod då de inte vet vad de kan förvänta sig vilket upplevs skrämmande. Background: Type 1 diabetes is one of the most common endemic diseases in Sweden. Children with type 1 diabetes will go through a transition from child- to adult healthcare. This transition is a shift from a part of the child’s life to another and is an important part of life that is not effortless even if the strive towards adaption is wanted. Purpose: The purpose of this literary study is to map experiences of children diagnosed with type 1 diabetes and transitioning from child- to adult diabetes healthcare.Method: A qualitative literary study was conducted, in which eleven scientific articles from the relevant databases; CINAHL, Psycinfo and PubMed were included. The studies were read, scrutinized and evaluated in relation to the inclusion- and exclusion criteria, followed by a qualitative review to merge the qualities of the studies to a meta-synthesizes. Results: The results show that children’s experience anxieties as well as eagerness for more self-responsibility. They experienced unexpected differences between child- and adult healthcare, in addition to the information given before the transition was inadequate regarding the affects for them and their sickness. The children expressed their wishes for a good transition.Conclusion: This literary study charts experiences from children with type 1 diabetes who transition from child- to adult healthcare. The transition is a period that comprise anxieties and fear for a changed future. Children with type 1 diabetes often experienced mostly insufficient preparations for the transition and the information given. Furthermore, they experienced the transition as frightening since they had no idea of what to expect.

Beståndsdelarna som bildar betong är ballast, cement, vatten och ibland olika tillsatsmedel och tillsatsmaterial. När betongen blandas startar hydratationen som leder till att cementpastan expanderar och värme frigörs. Rapporten avgränsas till den första och andra fasen i betongens hårdnandeprocess. En fallstudie har genomförts där metoden innefattar en intervju och dialog med sakkunniga, läsning i rekommenderad litteratur från företaget samt observation av arbetet innan, under och efter gjutning. Datan har verifierats för att bibehålla korrekt information. Förekomsten av sprickor påverkas av olika faktorer som betongreceptet, mängden armering och temperatur. En konstruktions geometri med planerade gjutetapper är också betydelsefull för minimering av sprickor. Ingjutna kylrör fördelar temperaturen i betongkroppen för att undvika att en för hög temperaturdifferens uppstår mellan betongens kärna och yta. Detta gör att betongens inre delar inte kommer expandera lika mycket och skapa ett inre tvång, på grund av värmen som hydratationen bidrar till. Värmeutvecklingen för de olika delarna har registrerats med hjälp av temperaturmätare, vilka resulterade i olika diagram. I simbassängen uppkom inte några temperatursprickor. Dock var det svårt att urskilja om det var på grund av det specifika betongreceptet som användes eller om kylningen var den bidragande faktorn till resultatet.

The purpose of this study was to examine whether women's self presentation on Instagram and in podcasts were consistent with stereotypical characteristics of the female gender, and whether their self presentation would differ as a result of the different media conditions. A qualitative content analysis was performed on transcriptions of podcast-episodes and instagramposts in order to examine how three women, with high numbers of followers on Instagram, constructed their self presentation in relation to female stereotypes. The main theoretical framework supporting the study was Goffman's theory about impression management and self presentation. In addition gender theory and structuration theory were applied. The result indicates that all three women performed the majority of their self presentation, in both the podcasts and on Instagram, according to the stereotypes presented by the analytical framework. However, the main result show that the women’s self presentation in podcasts were performed more according to stereotypes than on Instagram. This is further debated in the analysis. The fact that women often are portrayed according to stereotypes in the media is a part of the reason why women are still not equal to men. This problem has been debated for a long period of time but is still an issue. This study is an initial step in exploring how the platforms of podcasts and Instagram enable various female stereotypes in women's self presentation, and can hopefully contribute with further attention to the debate.

Bakgrund: I Sverige insjuknar ca 2000 personer i hjärntumör varje år. En hjärntumör kan vara antingen elakartad eller godartad, varav den förstnämnda är den vanligaste. Symtomen och prognosen vid en hjärntumör varierar beroende av vilken typ av tumör det handlar om och var i hjärnan tumören sitter. Att drabbas av en hjärntumör kan innebära att personens mening och sammanhang blir påverkat. Sjuksköterskans uppgift är att ge personcentrerad vård för att främja hälsa och lindra lidande. Syfte: Syftet med studien var att belysa upplevelsen av att leva med en hjärntumör. Metod: En litteraturöversikt genomfördes i enlighet med Fribergs metod. Tio vetenskapliga artiklar hämtades från de tre olika databaser Cinahl Complete, Medline och Psycinfo. Artiklarna var av både kvalitativ och kvantitativ design. Resultat: Litteraturöversikten resulterade i fyra teman som belyser upplevelsen av att leva med en hjärntumör. De fyra temana var: anpassningsstrategier,information, relationer och hopp. Anpassningsstrategier tillämpades i vardagslivet och arbetslivet för att tillvaron skulle fungera. Informationen som gavs av vårdpersonalen upplevdes som bristfällig. Det framkom att närstående var ett viktigt stöd genom hela sjukdomsprocessen, vidare beskrivs tryggheten i att få träffa samma vårdpersonal. Trots sjukdom framkom att deltagarna hade ett inneboende hopp. Diskussion: Diskussionen är uppdelad i en metoddiskussion och en resultatdiskussion. Litteraturöversiktens styrkor och svagheter diskuterades i metoddiskussionen. I resultatdiskussionen diskuterades resultatet utifrån Katie Erikssons vårdvetenskapliga begrepp hälsa, lidande och vårdande. Background: About 2000 people get diagnosed with brain tumor each year in Sweden. A brain tumor can be either malignant or nonmalignant where the formeris most common. Symptoms and prognosis varies depending on type of brain tumor and where in the brain it is located. The diagnosis of brain tumor could result in impact a person's meaning and purpose. The responsibility of a nurse is to give person-centered care to promote the health of the patient and relieve suffering. Aim: The aim of the study was to elucidate the experience of living with a brain tumor. Method: A literature review was made accordingly with Friberg’s method. Ten scientific articles were collected from three different databases; Cinahl Complete, Medline and Psycinfo. The articles were of both in qualitative and quantitative design. Results: The literature review as a result showed four themes that would enlighten the experience of living with a brain tumor. Those four themes are: Adjustment strategies, information, relations and hope. Adjustment strategies were used in daily life and work situations, to make the everyday life work. Furthermore, the review showed that the information that were given by the nurses were inadequate. The review described that close relatives were an important support throughout the entire process, further describe the confidence of meeting the same health professionals. Regardless of the tumor the participants describe having an inner hope. Discussion: The discussion is divided into a method discussion and a result discussion. The strengths and weaknesses of the literature review is discussed in the method discussion. The result was discussed from Katie Eriksson’s scientific terms Health, Suffering and Care.

Detta examensarbete ämnar belysa “duktig flicka”- fenomenet som kommit att bli ett omtalat begrepp som är baserat på den nya moderna samhällsstrukturen. Den nya samhällsstrukturen handlar om att kvinnor förväntas kunna satsa på karriären samtidigt som de fortfarande kopplas till huvudansvaret för hemarbete. Syftet med denna uppsats är att beskriva förekomsten av “duktiga flickor” bland studerande kvinnor på Karlstads universitet. Vi vill fördjupa oss i begreppet “duktig flicka” och förklara hur kvinnor kan kopplas till de egenskaper som ​ associeras med begreppet. Studien grundar sig på en kvantitativ undersökningsmetod där 60 kvinnor på Karlstads universitet har deltagit i studien. Resultatet visar att majoriteten av kvinnorna kan kopplas till “duktiga flicka”-fenomenet och dess egenskaper. This master thesis aims to highlight the "good girl" - phenomenon that has become a featured term based on a new modern social structure. The new social structure is about women expected to focus on making a career while still being linked to the main responsibility for homework. The purpose of this study is to describe the presence of "good girls" among student women at Karlstad University. We want to immerse ourselves in the term "good girl" and explain how women can be linked to the attributes associated with the concept. The study is based on a quantitative survey in which 60 women at Karlstad University participated in the study. The result shows that the majority of women can be linked to the "good girl" phenomenon and its characteristics.
