Reducing fertilizer use and increasing its efficiency will improve the quality of farmland and resource conservation. These are necessary steps to achieving green development in agriculture. Nevertheless, fertilizer-reduction and efficiency-increasing technologies (FREITs) remain limited. To improve the situation, 538 farmers in Jiangsu and Hubei Provinces were surveyed with the goal of measuring the information acquisition ability (IAA) of farmers using an Item Response Theory (IRT) model. A model of improved technology selection was employed in conjunction with an IV-probit model to examine the impacts of IAA on farmers' adoption of FREITs. The results showed that 34.76% of the surveyed farmers had adopted FREITs, with 12.45% and 26.02% having adopted Soil Testing and Formula Fertilization Technology (STFFT) and Organic Fertilizer Replacement Technology (OFRT), respectively. Second, farmers who used more information access channels had greater IAA, which significantly improved their adoption of FREITs. Third, participation in technical training and an increased degree of technical understanding increased the probability of farmers adopting FREITs. The results remained robust after accounting for endogeneity and correlation. The income effect of rice–crayfish co-culture technology (RCT) is directly related to rate of adoption of farmers and the process of China's green development of agriculture. The aim of this study is to explore the income effect and income growth mechanism of rice–crayfish co-culture technology from the perspective of continuous adoption. With the treatment effect model (TEM), this paper empirically analyzes the income effect and income-generating mechanisms of RCT using field survey data from 736 farmers in the Jianghan Plain. As a result of this study, it was discovered that RCT will increase farmers' net agricultural income by RMB 83,430 if they continue to adopt it. Further examinations indicate that the optimal adoption period for RCT is four and a half years. Additionally, it has also been shown that non-farm employment positively moderates the relationship between continuous adoption of RCT and net agricultural income. Farmers who participate in non-farm employment and continue to adopt the RCT will experience an increase in net agricultural income by RMB 104,510. Therefore, our results suggest that it is necessary to encourage farmers to continuously adopt RCT and actively participate in non-farm employment to enhance the income effect of RCT. Background: Schwannomas are benign usually encapsulated nerve sheath tumors derived from the Schwann cells, and affecting single or multiple nerves. The tumors commonly arise from the cranial nerves as acoustic neurinomas but they are extremely rare in the pelvis and the retroperitoneal area. Retroperitoneal pelvic schwannomas often present with non-specific symptoms leading to misdiagnosis and prolonged morbidity. Case presentation: We report the case of a 59-year-old woman presenting with a feeling of heaviness in the lower abdomen who was found to have a retroperitoneal pelvic schwannoma originating from the right femoral nerve. She had a history of two resections of peripheral schwannomas at four different sites of limbs. After conducting magnetic resonance imaging, this pelvic schwannoma was misdiagnosed as a gynecological malignancy. The tumor was successfully removed by laparoscopic surgery. Pathological analysis of the mass revealed a benign schwannoma of the femoral nerve sheath with demonstrating strong, diffuse positivity for S-100 protein. Conclusions: Although retroperitoneal pelvic schwannoma is rare, it should be considered in the differential diagnosis of pelvic masses, especially in patients with a history of neurogenic mass or the presence of neurogenic mass elsewhere. Molecular ultralong room‐temperature phosphorescence (RTP), exhibiting multiple stimuli‐responsive characteristics, has garnered considerable attention due to its potential applications in light‐emitting devices, sensors, and information safety. This work proposes the utilization of photochemical cascade processes (PCCPs) in molecular crystals to design a stepwise smart RTP switch. By harnessing the sequential dynamics of photo‐burst movement (induced by [2+2] photocycloaddition) and photochromism (induced by photogenerated radicals) in a bismuth (Bi)‐based metal‐organic halide (MOH), a continuous and photo‐responsive ultralong RTP can be achieved. Furthermore, utilizing the same Bi‐based MOH, diverse application demonstrations, such as multi‐mode anti‐counterfeiting and information encryption, can be easily implemented. This work thus not only serves as a proof‐of‐concept for the development of solid‐state PCCPs that integrate photosalient effect and photochromism with light‐chemical‐mechanical energy conversion, but also lays the groundwork for designing new Bi‐based MOHs with dynamically responsive ultralong RTP. Objectives We aimed to investigate the value of deep learning (DL) models based on multimodal ultrasonographic (US) images to quantify RA activity. Methods Static greyscale (SGS), dynamic greyscale (DGS), static power Doppler (SPD) and dynamic power Doppler (DPD) US images were collected and evaluated by two expert radiologists according to the EULAR–OMERACT Synovitis Scoring system. Four DL models were developed based on the ResNet-type structure, evaluated on two separate test cohorts, and finally compared with the performance of 12 radiologists with different levels of experience. Results In total, 1244 images were used for the model training, and 152 and 354 for testing (cohort 1 and 2, respectively). The best-performing models for the scores of 0/1/2/3 were the DPD, SGS, DGS and SPD models, respectively (Area Under the receiver operating characteristic Curve [AUC] = 0.87/0.95/0.74/0.95; no significant differences). All the DL models provided results comparable to the experienced radiologists on a per-image basis (intraclass correlation coefficient: 0.239–0.756, P  < 0.05). The SPD model performed better than the SGS one on test cohort 1 (score of 0/2/3: AUC = 0.82/0.67/0.95 vs 0.66/0.66/0.75, respectively) and test cohort 2 (score of 0: AUC = 0.89 vs 0.81). The dynamic DL models performed better than the static ones in most of the scoring processes and were more accurate than the most of senior radiologists, especially the DPD model. Conclusion DL models based on multimodal US images allow a quantitative and objective assessment of RA activity. Dynamic DL models in particular have potential value in assisting radiologists to improve the accuracy of RA US-based grading. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The luminescence color of molecule‐based photoactive materials is the key to the applications in lighting and optical communication. Realizing continuous regulation of emission color in molecular systems is highly desirable but still remains a challenge due to the individual emission band of purely organic molecules. Herein, a novel alloy strategy based on molecular co‐crystals is reported. By adjusting the molar ratio of pyrene (Py) and fluorathene (Flu), three types of molecular co‐crystal alloys (MCAs) assemblies are prepared involving Py‐Flu‐OFN‐x%, Py‐Flu‐TFP‐x%, Py‐Flu‐TCNB‐x%. Multiple energy level structure and Förster resonance energy transfer (FRET) process endow materials with tunable full‐spectra emission color in visible region. Impressively, these MCAs and co‐crystals can be successfully applied to low optical loss waveguide and optical logic gate by virtue of all‐color luminescence from blue across green to red, together with smooth surface of one‐dimensional microrods, which show promising applications as continuous light emitters for advance photonics applications. Photocatalytic CO2 reduction into fuels is desirable; however, realizing efficient CnH2n+1OH (n = 1, 2) synthesis that involves electron-coupled proton transfer alongside C–C bond formation remains a challenge. Here, we demonstrated a photoelectrocatalytic (PEC) CO2 reduction strategy to generate CH3OH and CH3CH2OH on cobalt phthalocyanine/g-C3N4 (CoPc/CN) in ionic liquids (ILs). In situ infrared spectroscopy indicated that *HCOO was a key intermediate for the evolution of CH3OH, and density functional theory (DFT) revealed that the Gibbs energy of C–C coupling dropped significantly from 4.94 to 2.21 eV in the ILs electrolyte. The carrier separation efficiency was enhanced in [BMMIm]Br electrolyte, in which photocurrent was 9-fold higher than that in KHCO3. This strategy achieved record-high CH3OH and CH3CH2OH generation abilities (6465.9 and 218.6 μM cm−2 h−1), which were 60.7- and 17.8-fold higher than those in KHCO3, respectively. Therefore, this work develops a PEC strategy to obtain excellent CH3OH yield, and provides new insight into the C–C coupling mechanism in IL-assisted CO2 reduction. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Molecule‐based micro/nanocrystal heterojunctions (MMHs) have attracted much attention in the fields of information security, optical sensors, photonic communications, crystal laser media, and miniaturized white‐light device. Although several types of MMHs materials are designed and synthesized, some challenges still need to be recognized and solved, such as in‐depth understanding on the formation–growth mechanisms of low‐dimensional micro/nanostructures and the realization of their practical applications. In this review, recent development of MMHs materials, including basic concepts (i.e., binding force, lattice match, nucleation rate, and crystal interfacial energy), materials classification (from single‐component to multicomponent heterojunctions), preparation methods, together with representative photonic applications, is systematically summarized. This review not only introduces state‐of‐the‐art advances of MMHs systems, but also presents their current issues and future trends, which are favorable to provide new ideas and guidance for expanding the understanding and promoting the evolution of MMHs for advanced optical applications. Objectives: As a rare malformation of the female reproductive system, Herlyn‐Werner‐Wunderlich syndrome (HWWS) was categorized into 3 classifications. It was recommended recently that, on the basis of the past classification, cervicovaginal atresia without communicating uteri should be newly added as classification 4. The surgical intervention will differ by type. To better optimize patient counseling as well as the preoperative evaluation and planning, our objective was to describe the ultrasound characteristics of each type of HWWS, including the new type. Methods: From January 1995 to November 2015, 37 cases of HWWS in with complete ultrasound information confirmed by surgery in the Peking Union Medical College Hospital were reviewed. We analyzed their ultrasound features, including hematometra, hematocervix, hematocolpos, and an ovarian chocolate cyst. Results: All of the ultrasound images of the 37 patients showed uterus didelphys with ipsilateral renal agenesis. Compared with the other 3 types, classification 4 showed distinctive ultrasound characteristics. Most cases of classification 4 showed hematometra (5 of 7 [71.4%]) and an ipsilateral ovarian chocolate cyst (6 of 7 [85.7%]), which was significantly higher than in the other 3. A rudimentary uterine horn was also a distinctive characteristic in this type. Meanwhile none of the classification 4 cases showed hematocervix or hydrocolpos, which were common signs of the other 3. Conclusions: According to this new classification criteria for HWWS, ultrasound characteristics of the new classification 4 differ from the others. As classification 4 was suggested to have a different surgical option, we should pay attention to its ultrasound characteristics, which might help in providing more information about the treatment and prognosis to the gynecologist.
