Purpose To investigate the value of 18F-fluoro-2-deoxy-D-glucose positron emission tomography/computed tomography (18F-FDG PET/CT) in the differential diagnosis of lymphoma in patients with fever of unknown origin (FUO) accompanied by lymphadenopathy and to develop a simple scoring system to distinguish lymphoma from other etiologies. Methods A prospective study was conducted on patients with classic FUO accompanied by lymphadenopathy. After standard diagnostic procedures, including PET/CT scan and lymph-node biopsy, 163 patients were enrolled and divided into lymphoma and benign groups according to the etiology. The diagnostic utility of PET/CT imaging was evaluated, and beneficial parameters that could improve diagnostic effectiveness were identified. Results The sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value (PPV), and negative predictive value (NPV) of PET/CT in diagnosing lymphoma in patients with FUO accompanied by lymphadenopathy were 81.0, 47.6, 59.3, and 72.7%, respectively. The lymphoma prediction model combining high SUVmax of the “hottest” lesion, high SUVmax of the retroperitoneal lymph nodes, old age, low platelet count, and low ESR had an area under the curve of 0.93 (0.89–0.97), a sensitivity of 84.8%, a specificity of 92.9%, a PPV of 91.8%, and an NPV of 86.7%. There was a lower probability of lymphoma for patients with a score Conclusions PET/CT scans show moderate sensitivity and low specificity in diagnosing lymphoma in patients with FUO accompanied by lymphadenopathy. The scoring system based on PET/CT and clinical parameters performs well in differentiating lymphoma and benign causes and can be used as a reliable noninvasive tool. Determination of Cabernet Sauvignon grapes quality plays an important role in commercial processing. In this research, a rapid approach based on near infrared spectroscopy was proposed to the determination of soluble solids content (SSC), pH, and total phenol content (TPC) in entire bunches of Cabernet Sauvignon grapes. Standardized normal variate (SNV) and competitive adaptive weighted sampling (CARS), genetic algorithm (GA), and synergy interval partial least squares (si-PLS) were used to optimize the spectral data. With optimal combination input, the prediction accuracy of partial least squares regression (PLSR) and support vector regression (SVR) models was compared. The results showed that these models based on variable optimization method could predict well the SSC, pH, and TPC of Cabernet Sauvignon grapes. The correlation coefficient of prediction for SSC, pH, and TPC had reached more than 0.85. This work provides an alternative to analyze the chemical parameters in whole bunch of Cabernet Sauvignon grape.

Summary Infection-associated hemophagocytic syndrome (IAHS), a severe complication of various infections, is potentially fatal. This study aims to determine whether IAHS occurs in critically ill patients with coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). We conducted a retrospective observational study on 268 critically ill patients with COVID-19 between February 1st, 2020 and February 26th, 2020. Demographics, clinical characteristics, laboratory results, information on concurrent treatments and outcomes were collected. A diagnosis of secondary hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis (sHLH) was made when the patients had an HScore greater than 169. Histopathological examinations were performed to confirm the presence of hemophagocytosis. Of 268 critically ill patients with confirmed SARS-CoV-2 infection, 17 (6.3%) patients had an HScore greater than 169. All the 17 patients with sHLH died. The interval from the onset of symptom of COVID-19 to the time of a diagnosis of sHLH made was 19 days and the interval from the diagnosis of sHLH to death was 4 days. Ten (59%) patients were infected with only SARS-CoV-2. Hemophagocytosis in the spleen and the liver, as well as lymphocyte infiltration in the liver on histopathological examinations, was found in 3 sHLH autopsy patients. Mortality in sHLH patients with COVID-19 is high. And SARS-CoV-2 is a potential trigger for sHLH. Prompt recognition of IAHS in critically ill patients with COVID-19 could be beneficial for improving clinical outcomes.

The quality markers(Q-markers) of Shujin Huoxue Capsules were comprehensively discriminated based on the five principles of transfer and traceability, specificity, compatibility, effectiveness and measurability. The compounds that could be transferred from the original medicinal materials to the preparation were selected with the principle of transfer and traceability. The specific components in the prescription were screened by reviewing literature with the principle of specificity. According to the principle of compatibility, the attributes of compounds were evaluated by the sovereign, minister, assistant and guide combination rules of the original medicinal materials in the prescription. According to the principle of measurability, the measurable components were summarized by reference to the pharmacopoeia and literature combined with the content. The mechanism of Shujin Huoxue Capsules in the treatment of osteoporosis was studied through network pharmacology based on the principle of effectiveness, which was the evaluation index of effectiveness. The chemical components screened out above were regarded as candidate Q-markers, and the cobweb model was plotted to obtain the comprehensive score of Q-markers. Hydroxysafflor yellow A, trachelosid, eleutheroside B, α-cyperone, protocatechuic acid, protocatechualdehyde and 4-methoxy salicylaldehyde were discriminated as the Q-markers of Shujin Huoxue Capsules based on the five principles combined with cobweb model.

Objectives: To improve the diagnostic efficacy of 18F-fluorodeoxyglucose positron emission tomography/computed tomography (18F-FDG PET/CT) for Chinese patients with fever of unknown origin (FUO) and inflammation of unknown origin (IUO), with combined clinical parameters. Materials and methods: FUO/IUO patients who underwent a standard diagnostic work-up and 18F-FDG PET/CT scanning were enrolled and divided into a local uptake lesion subgroup and a non-specific abnormal uptake subgroup. Beneficial clinical parameters for improving the diagnostic efficacy of PET/CT were identified. Results: From January 2014 to January 2019, 253 FUO/IUO patients were studied. In total, 147 patients had local uptake lesions and 106 patients had non-specific abnormal uptake. In the local uptake lesion group, the positioning accuracy of PET/CT was 37.2% in grades 1 and 2, and 66.3% in grades 3 and 4. With the following combination of clinical parameters, the positioning accuracy increased to 75.0% and 90.0%, respectively: time from admission to performing PET/CT scanning 95 mg/l. In the non-specific abnormal uptake group, the combination of sex (male), bicytopenia, and lactic dehydrogenase improved the sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value (PPV), and negative predictive value (NPV) for diagnosing malignancy from 64.3%, 69%, 60%, and 72.7%, respectively, to 83.3%, 81%, 81.4%, and 82.9%, respectively. With the combination of sex (male), white blood count, serum ferritin level, and hepatosplenomegaly, the infection prediction model had a sensitivity, specificity, PPV, and NPV of 78%, 76.2%, 76.6%, and 77.6%, respectively. Conclusions: Combined clinical parameters improved the localization diagnostic value of 18F-FDG PET/CT in the local uptake lesion subgroup and the etiological diagnostic value in the non-specific abnormal uptake subgroup. Motivated to explore the dynamical mechanism of multi-fragmentation phase transition and expand our knowledge on the deterministic chaos in nonlinear dynamic process, we study systematically the nonlinear dynamical behaviors of heavy ion collisions at intermediate energy. In order to highlight the general characteristics of the collision dynamics, in the present paper, we simulate a simple collision system, $Ca+Ca$, and obverse the performances of the typical nonlinear characteristic quantities such as the production of generalized entropy and the fractal structure of the semiclassical phase space during the reaction process. The multifragmentation entropy, information dimension and the dynamical fluctuations of fragment mass distribution in the final state of the reaction are also evaluated. Our results about the intermediate processes and the final products of the reaction are verified mutually so that confirm strongly the existence of nonlinear chaos in the heavy ion collisions at intermediate energy. Meanwhile, we find that the typical characteristics of the critical phase transition obtained in the analysis of the final production of the reaction are relatively more clear in the vicinity of the incident energies $E=100 MeV$., Nuclear Physics A

This work aims to investigate how the bile acid metabolism of newborns differs from that of adults along the axis of primary, secondary, and tertiary bile acids (BAs). The total unconjugated BA profiles were quantitatively determined by enzyme digestion techniques in urine of 21 newborns born by cesarean section, 29 healthy parturient women, 30 healthy males, and 28 healthy nonpregnant females. As expected, because of a lack of developed gut microbiota, newborns exhibited poor metabolism of secondary BAs. Accordingly, the tertiary BAs contributed limitedly to the urinary excretion of BAs in newborns despite their tertiary-to-secondary ratios significantly increasing. As a result, the primary BAs of newborns underwent extensive oxidative metabolism, resulting in elevated urinary levels of some fetal-specific BAs, including 3-dehydroCA, 3β,7α,12α-trihydroxy-5β-cholan-24-oic acid, 3α,12-oxo-hydroxy-5β-cholan-24-oic acid, and nine tetrahydroxy-cholan-24-oic acids (Tetra-BAs). Parturient women had significantly elevated urinary levels of tertiary BAs and fetal-specific BAs compared with female control, indicating that they may be excreted into amniotic fluid for maternal disposition. An in vitro metabolism assay in infant liver microsomes showed that four Tetra-BAs and 3-dehydroCA were hydroxylated metabolites of cholate, glycocholate, and particularly taurocholate. However, the recombinant cytochrome P450 enzyme assay found that the fetal-specific CYP3A7 did not contribute to these oxidation metabolisms as much as expected compared with CYP3A4. In conclusion, newborns show a BA metabolism pattern predominated by primary BA oxidations due to immaturity of secondary BA metabolism. Translational studies following this finding may bring new ideas and strategies for both pediatric pharmacology and diagnosis and treatment of perinatal cholestasis-associated diseases. SIGNIFICANCE STATEMENT: The prenatal BA disposition is different from adults because of a lack of gut microbiota. However, how the BA metabolism of newborns differs from that of adults along the axis of primary, secondary, and tertiary BAs remains poorly defined. This work demonstrated that the urinary BA profiles of newborns born by cesarean section are characterized by oxidative metabolism of primary BAs, in which the fetal-specific CYP3A7 plays a limited role in the downstream oxidation metabolism of cholate.

BACKGROUND: Oncologic immunotherapy is attracting attention as an effective strategy for cancer treatment. Currently, there are two kinds of inhibitors: Anti-PD-1 antibodies and anti-PD-L1 antibodies. These inhibitors have shown significant implications in improving the outcomes of certain cancer types in recent years. However, along with its effectiveness, adverse events cannot be ignored. As an anti-PD-1 antibody, camrelizumab (SHR-1210) has some side effects in tumor immunotherapy. The most common adverse event is reactive capillary hemangioma. While it is widely reported to occur in the skin, gingival reactive capillary hemangioma is rarely reported. CASE SUMMARY: A 54-year-old man complained of gingival overgrowth on the anterior aspect of the maxilla and mandible for more than 6 mo. He had been placed on SHR-1210 for lung cancer for 7 mo. A gingival mass extending from canine to canine was noted on the lingual surfaces of the mandible. Gingival enlargement was noted in the front teeth. A clinical diagnosis of gingival reactive capillary hemangioma and chronic periodontitis was made. The treatment involved a complex local treatment (repeated local applications of an antibiotic paste, scaling and root planning, and surgery). The excised tissue was sent for histopathological examination, which confirmed the diagnosis of capillary hemangioma. After the operation, most of the gingival enlargement was reduced. At the 2-mo follow-up, it was noted that the gingival overgrowth was immediately reduced after the replacement of the anti-PD-1 agent with an anti-PD-L1 agent. CONCLUSION: As the prescription for SHR-1210 has increased considerably in recent years, the occurrence of its possible side effects, including gingival reactive capillary hemangioma, has increased. It is recommended that regular oral examinations be performed before and during the treatment of tumors with SHR-1210.

The primary bile acids (BAs) synthesized from cholesterol in the liver are converted to secondary BAs by gut microbiota. It was recently disclosed that the major secondary BA, deoxycholate (DCA) species, is stereoselectively oxidized to tertiary BAs exclusively by CYP3A enzymes. This work subsequently investigated the in vitro oxidation kinetics of DCA at C-1β, C-3β, C-4β, C-5β, C-6α, C-6β, and C-19 in recombinant CYP3A enzymes and naive enzymes in human liver microsomes (HLMs). The stereoselective oxidation of DCA fit well with Hill kinetics at 1-300 μM in both recombinant CYP3A enzymes and pooled HLMs. With no contributions or trace contributions from CYP3A5, CYP3A7 favors oxidation at C-19, C-4β, C-6α, C-3β, and C-1β, whereas CYP3A4 favors the oxidation at C-5β and C-6β compared with each other. Correlation between DCA oxidation and testosterone 6β-hydroxylation in 14 adult single-donor HLMs provided proof-of-concept evidence that DCA 19-hydroxylation is an in vitro marker reaction for CYP3A7 activity, whereas oxidation at other sites represents mixed indicators for CYP3A4 and CYP3A7 activities. Deactivation caused by DCA-induced cytochrome P450-cytochrome P420 conversion, as shown by the spectral titrations of isolated CYP3A proteins, was observed when DCA levels were near or higher than the critical micelle concentration (about 1500 μM). Unlike CYP3A4, CYP3A7 showed abnormally elevated activities at 500 and 750 μM, which might be associated with an altered affinity for DCA multimers. The disclosed kinetic and functional roles of CYP3A isoforms in disposing of the gut bacteria-derived DCA may help in understanding the structural and functional mechanisms of CYP3A.

Photocatalytic overall water splitting is one of the green and efficient energy technologies. Due to difficult release of O2 from photocatalysts, the simultaneous generation of H2 and O2 is a critical challenge for water splitting. B and K co-doped g-C3N4 (B/K-g-C3N4) catalyst was synthesized by the recyclable molten-salt method in this study. Compared with the K doped and pristine g-C3N4 samples, B/K-g-C3N4 exhibited the highest photocatalytic activity for water vapor splitting under visible light illumination. The yield ratio of H2 and O2 reached approximately 2:1, and the corresponding rates were 1.18 and 0.58 μmol/h after 24 h of illumination. The B/K-g-C3N4 sample demonstrated good photocatalytic stability after 9 cycles. Additionally, the co-doped g-C3N4 catalyst, obtained from the repeatedly recyclable salts, still exhibited equivalent photocatalytic activity. Based on the built structure model with g-C3N4, the HOMO and LUMO distributions were changed by B and K co-doping, leading to improved separation of photoinduced carriers. The photocatalytic mechanism for water splitting over g-C3N4 semiconductor was speculated.

Pregnancy epulis is a tumor-like lesion that results from aggravating gingivitis due to high level of gonadal hormone concentration. Pregnancy epulis is commonly manifested as a single lump. A case of multiple pregnancy epulises, which has been rarely explored, is reported in this paper. The patient received no other treatment but a single supragingival scaling. Results showed no remarkable changes in the lesion. However, all the epulides regressed spontaneously in five months after the parturition.妊娠期牙龈瘤是妊娠期女性由于性激素水平升高导致牙龈慢性炎症加重，从而在牙龈局部形成的瘤样病变，多见形成单个龈瘤，而多发性者少见。本文报道1例罕见的妊娠期多发性牙龈瘤，患者在行全口洁治后未行其他特殊治疗，病变大小未见明显改变，于分娩后5个月内龈瘤全部自行消退。.

Neochrysocharis formosa (Westwood), an important biocontrol agent of agromyzid leafminers worldwide, is a host-feeding, idiobiont parasitoid. Female wasps have three types of host-killing behaviors: reproductive (parasitism), non-reproductive host feeding (host feeding), and host stinging without oviposition or feeding (host stinging). In this study, we compared the life history and host-killing behaviors of female parasitoids under four adult diets: starvation, hosts only, hosts plus honey (10% w/v honey solution), and honey only. Furthermore, we analyzed the host-feeding and oviposition preferences of adult females in the hosts-only and hosts-plus-honey treatments. Female parasitoids feeding on hosts had significantly increased longevity, higher fecundity, more host-stinging events, and caused a higher total host mortality than parasitoids in the starvation treatment. The honey supplement significantly increased longevity, fecundity, host-stinging events, and total host mortality, as well as average daily fecundity, but did not alter host-feeding events, host-stinging events, or daily total host mortality. However, the honey supplement did reduce the number of daily host-feeding events and induced a shift toward oviposition. Finally, we found that the non-reproductive host killing caused by host feeding and host stinging enhanced the control potential of N. formosa . These results should contribute to a better understanding of the biocontrol efficiency of destructive host feeders.

Situation of two wheelers is severe in China, and in order to find out direction to decrease injury, this paper researched correlation between accident factors and casualties. The correlation analysis were made between Human, Time and Scene factors and injury conditions by Chi-square test based on in-depth traffic accident investigation data among motorcycle, two-wheel electric bicycle and bicycle accident. The results show that there are seven factors indicated statistical significance at low grade correlation with casualties among motorcycle and two-wheel electric bicycle. Bicycle have three factors show the middle grade correlation, and Age is the strongest correlation factor with V value 0.39.

Solvothermal reactions of CuX (X = Cl, Br, I, CN) with bis(4-iodo-1H-pyrazol-1-yl)methane (ipzm) or its methyl-substituted derivative bis(4-iodo-3, 5-dimethyl-1H-pyrazol-1-yl)methane (idmpzm) resulted in the formation of three 2D [Cu2X2]n-based coordination polymers [{Cu(μ-X)}2(μ-ipzm)]n [X = Cl (1), Br (2), I (3)], four 1D [CuX]n-based coordination polymers [{Cu(μ-CN)}2(μ-ipzm)]n (4), [{(idmpzm)Cu}(μ-Cl)]n (5), [{(idmpzm)Cu}(μ-Br)·MeCN]n (6), [{(idmpzm)Cu}(μ-I)·0.5MeCN]n (7), and one 1D [Cu6(CN)6]n-based coordination polymer [{Cu(μ-CN)}6(idmpzm)3]n (8). Compounds 1–8 were characterized by elemental analysis, IR spectra, and single-crystal X-ray diffraction. Compounds 1–3 consist of an unique 2D layer structure, in which the 1D staircase [Cu2X2]n chains are linked by ipzm ligands via the μ-η1(N)-η1(N) coordination mode. In 4, two 1D zigzag [CuCN]n chains are linked by μ-ipzm ligands to form a 1D double chain. Compounds 5–7 have a 1D split-stair chain derived from connecting [Cu(idmpzm)] fragments via μ-X (X = Cl, Br, I) bridges, whereas 8 exhibits a 1D scolopendra-like chain assembled from a 1D [Cu6(CN)6]n chain with idmpzm ligands chelating on the outer central CuI atoms. The luminescence properties of 1–8 along with free ipzm and idmpzm ligands at ambient temperature were also investigated.

This paper proposes a drawing simulating method by means of drawing out coordinated system and relevant object for every link of the articulated industrial robot in UG system. Because the structural and kinematical parameters are defined with variable element in UG system, the conFiguration of terminal link and other link are all simulated. It is appearance that the drawing course by this way is simple and the drawing result of the articulated industrial robot is visual, believable and reliable.

In order to improve energy utilization rate of biogas engine-driven heat pump (BEHP) systems for wastewater treatment plant, the exergy analysis is applied in this paper. The paper concludes the exergy losses and exergy efficiency of each equipment, and reveals the weak link of energy transformation of the whole system. According to the calculation of one example, the location of maximum exergy loss is the biogas engine-driven, while the location of minimum exergy efficiency is the compressor, which provides powerful theoretic references to improve and optimize BEHP systems for wastewater treatment plant.

The tribological performance of pure polyamide 66 (PA66) and Carbon fibre (CF) reinforced PA66 composite were studied at dry sliding and oil lubricated conditions. The results show that the coefficient of friction and specific wear rates for pure PA66 and CF/PA66 composite slightly in increase with the increase in applied pressure values. On the other hand the coefficient of friction is in decrease while the specific wear is in increase with the increase in sliding speed values.

To investigate whether nerve growth factor (NGF) induced angiogenesis of bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) and the underlying mechanisms. Bone marrow MSCs were isolated from femors or tibias of Sprague-Dawley rat, and cultured. The cells were purified after 3 to 5 passages, seeded on Matrigel-coated 24-well plates and treated with NGF. Tube formation was observed 24 h later. Tropomyosin-related kinase A (TrkA) and p75NTR gene expression was examined using PCR analysis and flow cytometry. Growth curves were determined via cell counting. Expression of VEGF and pAkt/Akt were analyzed with Western blot. NGF (25, 50, 100 and 200 μg/L) promoted tube formation of MSCs. The tubular length reached the maximum of a 2.24-fold increase, when the cells were treated with NGF (50 μg/L). NGF (50 μg/L) significantly enhanced Akt phosphorylation. Pretreatment with the specific PI3K inhibitor LY294002 (10 μmol/L) blocked NGF-stimulated Akt phosphorylation, tube formation and angiogenesis. NGF (25–200 μg/L) did not affect the expression of TrkA and vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), but significantly suppressed the expression of p75NTR. NGF (50 μg/L) markedly increased the proliferation of MSCs. NGF promoted proliferation of MSCs and activated the PI3K/Akt signaling pathway, which may be responsible for NGF induction of MSC angiogenesis.

The effects of Carbon fiber content and wear condition on the tribological properties of the composites were measured using a block on ring wear tester. The worn surface was investigated with a scanning electronic microscope and the wear mechanism was proposed. It was found that Carbon fiber improved the wear resistance of monomer casting polyamide 6 with the optimal content of Carbon being approximately 5 vol.%. The wear of PA6/Carbon fiber composite was lower than that of the PA6 and increased slowly while its friction coefficient decreased gradually with load. However, the friction coefficient of the composite was somewhat larger than that of monomer casting polyamide 6.

PA6 composites filled with nano-SiO2were synthesized. The aim of the research article is to study the mechanical and friction and wear behaviour of nano-SiO2reinforced PA6 composites. The worn surface of the composite was examined by scanning electron microscopy. The results showed that the addition of nano-SiO2can effectively improve the mechancial and tribological properties of the PA6 composites.

The effects of CF content on flexural and tribological properties of the composites were investigated. The worn surface morphologies of neat PTFE and its composites were examined by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and the wear mechanisms were discussed. The presence of CF particles dispersed in the PTFE continuous phase exhibited superior tribological characteristics to unfilled PTFE.

The present study establishes the relationships between the cutting conditions (cutting speed and feed rate) on trbological properties. Three types of PEEK composites such as unreinforced PEEK, reinforced PEEK with 20% of carbon fibres and 20% of glass fibres were used for the tribological tests. The parametric analysis reveals that, wear increases with increase in feed rate and cutting velocity while the friction coefficient decreases for all the materials tested. The investigation illustrates that the addition of reinforcements to PEEK improve the tribological properties relation with the cutting conditions.

The mechanical and tribological behaviors of the carbon/carbon (C/C) composites were evaluated by three-point bending and sliding wear tests. The effect of carbon fiber content on their mechanical behavior was also investigated. To produce the C/C composites, the precursor was introduced to the preforms by impregnating with phenolic solution. The C/C preforms were densified by thermal gradient chemical vapor infiltration. Results indicated that, the C/C composites show excellent mechanical and tribological properties. A kind of high performance brake materials was obtained.

Kevlar pulps were employed as reinforcement for polyetherimide(PEI)composite. All filled and unfilled polyetherimide composites were tested against CGr15 ball and representative testing was performed. The effects of Kevlar content on tribological properties of the PEI composites were investigated. The worn surface morphologies of pure PEI and its composites were examined by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and the wear mechanisms were discussed. Results show that all filled polyetherimides have superior tribological characteristics to unfilled ones.

Paper discusses that water content of emulsion has effects on the surface quality of cold-rolled aluminum alloy 5052 and higher concentration of emulsion gave thicker lubrication film and better surface quality of aluminum strip. When the speed of rolling reaching a critical speed, thickness of emulsion film will decrease with time. Film forming of emulsion shows that when rolling speed is low, properties of emulsion is similar to that of oil, while when speed reaching a critical value, mechanism of lubrication in rolling work zone will change from plate-out model suitable for low rolling speed to starvation model suitable for high rolling speed .This paper also discusses friction model for cold-rolling, and explains that the contact length of work zone and strip and forward slip get greater with rolling reduction increasing , which easily result in lubrication failure in the work zone.

With the speeding urbanization process in China, the amount of floating population increases at an unprecedented speed. How to solve the housing security issue now becomes a key indicator for social stability. In this paper, a new low-income housing requirement prediction method is proposed based on stepped leveling of floating population and related evaluation index predictions. Using Logistic retardant population growth model and Todaro method, floating population in the next 5 years is predicted. Then the population is divided into stepped levels to predict housing requirement. Based on the prediction of commercial house price, the method of predicting low-income house demand for different levels in urban areas is given. To demonstrate the proposed model and method, Shanghai Statistical data over the years are used and analyzed.

At annealing temperature, Al-Mg alloys have grain boundary and surface magnesium segregation and their strength are also impossibly enhanced by heat treatment. Friction and wear properties of cold-rolled 5052 aluminum alloy annealed at different temperature were studied in this paper. X-ray diffract analysis(XRD) indicates that metallurgical phase has no obvious transformation with different annealing temperature. Auger electron (AE) fines that magnesium segregation and oxide layer thickness of surface are different along the plate thickness direction at different annealing temperatures. Results show that the higher oxide layer of the surface, the smaller wear can be got. Friction and wear testing shows that 5052 aluminum alloy annealed at different temperatures almost have the same coefficient of friction under the same experimental condition , but the coefficient friction of the same sample will increase while temperature rises.

The Cu(I)-mediated C-S bond cleavage of 5-methyl-4-(p-tolyl)pyrimidine-2-thiol (mtpmtH) gave one 30-nuclear cluster [Cu30I16(mtpmt)12(μ10-S4)], one polymeric complex [(bmtpms)Cu-(μ-I)]n and one tetranuclear complex [(bmptmds){Cu(μ-I)}2]2; the 30-nuclear cluster displayed excellent catalytic performances in the coupling reactions of N-heterocycles and arylboronic acids and could be recycled and reused.

Many species from Senecio genus have been used in traditional medicine, and their pharmacological activities have been demonstrated. This study investigated the chemical composition and anti-inflammatory activities of essential oils from Senecio flammeus. A total of 48 components representing 98.41 % of the total oils were identified. The main compounds in the oils were α-farnesene (11.26 %), caryophyllene (8.69 %), n-hexadecanoic acid (7.23 %), and α-pinene (6.36 %). The anti-inflammatory activity of the essential oils was evaluated in rodents (10–90 mg/kg bw) in classical models of inflammation [carrageenan-induced paw edema, 12-O-tetradecanoyl-phorbol-13-acetate (TPA)-induced ear edema, and cotton pellet-induced granuloma]. The essential oils at doses of 10, 30, and 90 mg/kg bw significantly reduced carrageenan-induced paw edema by 17.42 % (P < 0.05), 52.90 % (P < 0.05), and 66.45 % (P < 0.05) 4 h after carrageenan injection, respectively, and significantly reduced myeloperoxidase activity (P < 0.05). The essential oils (10, 30, and 90 mg/kg) also produced a significant dose-dependent response to reduce TPA-induced ear edema by 20.27 % (P < 0.05), 33.06 % (P < 0.05), and 53.90 % (P < 0.05), respectively. The essential oils produced significant dose-response anti-inflammatory activity against cotton pellet-induced granuloma that peaked at the highest dose of 90 mg/kg (49.08 % wet weight and 47.29 % dry weight). Results demonstrate that the essential oils of S. flammeus were effective in the treatment of both acute and chronic inflammatory conditions, thereby supporting the traditional use of this herb.

BaTiO3 powders modified with Sm, La, Cu, Al, Zn were prepared by solid doping and gaseous penetration method and their components, structure, superficies and electric properties were characterized. The results show that the resistivity of the modified powders is decreased after both solid doping and gaseous penetration, and it is more obviously after gaseous penetration. Among all the metals being discussed, Sm has the most significant influence on decreasing the resistivity of modified powders. The room temperature resistivity of Sm-penetrated BaTiO3 powders is the lowest, which decreases from 8.3×1010Ω•m (pure BaTiO3 powders) to 1.65×105Ω•m. SEM investigation illustrates that the powders are in uniform grain size. No apparent pores and small grains are found. XRD analysis indicates that the doping process only leads to the changes of the peak width and intensity without new phases appearing, but characteristic peaks of Sm2TiO5, SmTiO3, and Ba10.37Sm17.08Ti36O108 can be detected after gaseous penetrated, which leads to the decrease of the resistivity of modified BaTiO3 powders.

Objective: To study whether Tongxinluo (TXL) can induce angiogenesis in bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs), and to investigate the underlying mechanism. Methods: Bone marrow MSCs were obtained from male Sprague-Dawley rats. We established an angiogenesis model in vitro via matrigel experiment. MSCs were seeded on matrigel coated 24-well plates, and treated by TXL 50 and 100 mg/L. After 24 h, we observed the tube formations of MSCs in the matrigel. Cell migration ability was examined by wound scratch test and transwell assay. Expressions of vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), fetal liver kinase-1 (Flk-1), matrix metalloproteinase-2 (MMP-2), MMP-9, and tissue inhibitor of metalloproteinase-2 (TIMP-2) were analyzed at the protein level by Western blot. In this paper, by using the cone theory and the monotone iterative method, we investigate the existence of maximal and minimal solutions for second-order integro-differential equations of mixed type which nonlinearly involve derivative arguments and deviating arguments in a Banach space. Finally, we give an example of infinite system for scalar second-order integro-differential equations to illustrate our results.

Background. Diabetes is a major risk factor for the development of kidney disease. We aimed to determine the prevalence of albuminuria and chronic kidney disease (CKD) in Chinese subjects with diabetes and pre-diabetes and the risk factors for kidney disease. Methods. An urban community-based sample of 3714 adults in Shanghai was classified into normal glucose tolerance (NGT), impaired glucose regulation (IGR) and diabetes. The estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR) and the urinary albumin-to-creatinine ratio (ACR) were applied to designate renal function and albuminuria, respectively. Binary logistic regression was performed to analyse the contribution of risk factors to CKD. Polynominal regression was used to determine the trends of eGFR with the increment of ACR. Results. The prevalence of microalbuminuria, macroalbuminuria and CKD in subjects with diabetes was 22.8%, 3.4% and 29.6%, respectively, which was significantly higher than that in non-diabetes subjects. To investigate whether the proteasomes inhibitor MG262 exerts its anti-cancer function by inducing apoptosis in human ovarian cancer cells, and whether the extracellular signal regulated kinase (ERK) signaling pathway is involved in the regulation of apoptosis induction.Human ovarian cancer cell line SKOV3 was incubated with different concentrations of MG262 for 24 and 48 hours. Cell viability was evaluated with 3-(4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2, 5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide (MTT) assay at different time points of culturing. Flow cytometry was used to detect cell apoptosis rate. The expression of vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) was evaluated with western blot and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Western blot was used to detect the expression of phosphorylated ERK (p-ERK).The viability of SKOV3 cells was decreased by MG262 in a concentration-dependent fashion (P0.05). After 24 h incubation with MG262 at 1, 10, 20, 40, 60 and 80 nmol/L, the viability rates of SKOV3 were (94.6 +/- 3.1)%, (92.7 +/- 3.7)%, (89.5 +/- 7.7)%, (84.2 +/- 5.1)%, (82.0 +/- 7.4)% and (76.8 +/- 11.0)% respectively, and after 48 h incubation, those figures were further decreased to (91.3 +/- 10.1)%, (86.8 +/- 4.5)%, (74.6 +/- 4.2)%, (56.8 +/- 2.1)%, (49.3 +/- 4.5)% and (37.4 +/- 5.4)%, respectively (P0.05). In contrast to SKOV3 cells, apoptosis rate of 293T cells induced by MG262, PD98059 or their combination was (14.5 +/- 5.3)%, (16.2 +/- 7.5)% and (10.8 +/- 7.3)%, respectively, which were not significantly different compared with controls (P0.05). p-ERK expression decreased gradually in a time-dependent manner. And wild-type p53 expression was not significantly different. There was no significant difference between experimental and control 293T cells (P0.05).
