Background BRAF V600E mutation represents a group of colorectal carcinoma with poor prognosis. Although treatment strategies have been recommended after clinical investigations, the progression-free survival is short and unsatisfying. Case Presentation Here, we present the case of a 28-year-old male diagnosed with ascending colon adenocarcinoma with multiple liver metastases. Treatment with FOLFIRI plus cetuximab and vemurafenib achieved partial response, following which the patient received conversion surgery with clear resection margin. After disease recurrence, he received combination treatment of nivolumab and regorafenib. Until August 2020, the patient achieved a partial response with more than 12 months progression-free survival. Circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) was monitored during the patient’s treatment. His ctDNA fractions exhibited significant elevation two months before disease progression. As a comparison, the tumor markers were not elevated until the patient was confirmed PD through CT imaging. Conclusion This case exemplifies how liquid biopsy and ctDNA sequencing can aid in real-time molecular characterization of tumors.

The normal modes of ice IX were investigated using the CASTEP code package, which is based on density functional theory. We found that the translational modes could be divided into three categories: four-bond vibrations, which possessed the highest energy; two-bond vibrations, which possessed the medium energy; and cluster vibrations with the lowest energy. The former two categories represent monomers vibrating against neighbors and present as two distinct peaks in many ice phases recorded in inelastic neutron-scattering experiments. It is typically difficult to assign the molecular vibration peaks in the far infrared region. The method we developed to analyze the normal modes, especially in the translation band of ice IX, provided physical insights into the vibrational spectrum of ice.

This paper has designed a smart-home environment monitoring system. The System is based on ZigBee technology establishing wireless sensor network , using the SCM of CC2530 RF as the solutions to the system of the ZigBee technology, achieving parameter detection of multi-environment, and controlling the receive and dispatch of signals . Meanwhile, the system uses LD3320 voice chip, take the use of (non-specific) voice recognition technology to accept and control signal, realizing voice control for home appliances. And the distribution of the system is flexible and can change any monitoring points and monitor objects. It has good scalability and stability and can be used in various occasions for environmental monitoring.

Diffuse alveolar hemorrhage (DAH) is a life-threatening clinical pathologic syndrome caused by a variety of diseases. We report a case of DAH related to combination therapy of chemoradiotherapy and erlotinib. As to know, DAH following chemoradiotherapy was only reported among hematopoietic stem cell transplant recipients with hematologic malignancies till now. DAH associated with chemoradiotherapy for oesophageal carcinoma has not been reported. This is the first DAH report on erlotinib-combined chemoradiotherapy for esophageal cancer. The authors believe epidermal growth factor receptor tyrosine kinase inhibitor erlotinib increased the lung injury. Molecular targeted drugs are gradually applied to be combined with chemoradiation, whether this combination will cause the increase of serious adverse reactions need further study. This case can provide certain reference for erlotinib in the treatment. Meanwhile, after long term hormone therapy for DAH, the patient was diagnosed with pneumocystis carinii pneumonia. It reminds us to attach importance to the immunosuppressive diseases after long-term hormone treatment.
