Related Articles The misclassification of murders results in the invisibilization and impunity of gender‐based violence. According to Observatorio Cuidadano Nacional del Feminicidio figures in 2024, of the 3408 cases of murdered women in Mexico in 2023, only 827 were classified as feminicides. Since few cases result in punishment, women have protested for justice nationwide. The current study examines the effects of media representation of feminicide cases. Participants were randomly assigned two of four fake newspaper articles about a feminicide case, which varied based on the description of the murdered woman and the intention of the crime. Participants who received the victim‐blaming article endorsed significantly more victim‐blaming attitudes compared to participants who received the non‐victim‐blaming article. Additionally, participants who received the article where the male assailant exhibited a will to harm the victim exhibited significantly more victim‐blaming attitudes. Los medios de comunicación desempeñan un papel central en la lucha contra el silencio y la impunidad que rodean a los casos de feminicidio. Por ende, es esencial realizar un seguimiento minucioso de su abordaje para asegurar que la producción informativa no solo difunda información relevante, sino que también contribuya activamente a la sensibilización ciudadana. El propósito de la investigación fue examinar cómo los medios de comunicación «El Comercio», «El Universo», «Ecuavisa» y «Teleamazonas» abordaron un caso de feminicidio ocurrido en Ibarra y que conmocionó a Ecuador. Metodológicamenteб se empleó el Test ADSH, que combina análisis de contenido en una perspectiva cuantitativa y, desde un enfoque cualitativo, evalúa la amplitud, diversidad y sensibilidad humana. La muestra incluyó 41 producciones informativas. Entre los hallazgosб se observa que los medios tienden a recurrir a la firma genérica en la autoría, prevalece el uso de fuentes oficiales y se proporciona una referencia superficial de la víctima y del agresor, evidenciado en los términos y el enfoque utilizados. Se da prioridad a la narración cronológica, con una limitada alusión a la comprensión de las causas estructurales. Se concluye en la necesidad de construir narrativas periodísticas que cuestionen las raíces del feminicidio y así enfrentar la naturalización de la violencia.

This article aims to bring to light about the women and their features, based on Freud, Lacan and others and authors, just as feminicide are portrayed by media and several news blogs. Having the comprehension the press, in general, contributes to build public opinion when brings topics from this kind. Feminicide is characterized as murdering women by men, simply, because they are women, in other words, by their gender condition. In this sense, the male domination characterize itself, by the owning the woman as an object. The violence is a social factor that has been in the human society for centuries and in the contemporary, the journalistic work is partial and suppose to enforce stenotypes that victimize the woman who is victim of structural chauvinism. Many fields of knowledge such as the various approaches to psychology, legal knowledge and sociology portray this topic from their perspectives, in this sense, the essays foresees the reading of these facts that has occurred from the perspective of psychoanalysis, that is about the constitution of social connections, considering their particularities, creating a reflection in the metapsicological field, trying to understand the personal psychism by motivation of committing feminicide, considering the evidences it come from the social manifestation. This article analyzes the work of human rights defenders in 12 states in Mexico, who accompany cases of feminicides and disappearances in a context of a security crisis. Using focus group methodologies, we obtained qualitative information on their experiences. The findings indicate that current state policies, based on institutionalized feminism, fail to adequately address the diversity of women's needs. In the present work I will try to explain two lines of interpretation of the discussed article that regulates the crime of feminicide in our Penal Code, making known the consequences that would follow from accepting them, in addition to some objections to them. Much of the essay will examine the best interpretation of the criminal offense and then the strongest objection that must be faced; I consider the latter the real problem of feminicide. A presente pesquisa buscou investigar se a tese do homicídio privilegiado corresponde ao ressurgimento da tese da legítima defesa da honra. Este estudo trata-se de pesquisa bibliográfica e documental de natureza qualitativa. A pesquisa empírica foi constituída por casos de feminicídio ajuizados no município de Vitória da Conquista, Bahia, entre os anos de 2015 a 2023. Para averiguar o funcionamento das teses defensivas, foram utilizados aportes teóricos da Análise do Discurso francesa sobre as manifestações selecionadas. Quanto aos resultados, verificou-se que a hipótese foi parcialmente confirmada.

According to the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime, 55% of women and girls killed in 2022 died at the hands of intimate partners or family members, contexts indicative of femicide. The proportion of the remaining 45% of women and girls killed which involved sex or gender-related elements remains largely unknown. This is due to the lack of high-quality, gender-sensitive data collection tools and the few systematic efforts to more consistently and accurately document femicide. Information about femicide in marginalized and racialized communities is further affected because many of these deaths remain invisible in official data for women and girls who live – and die – at the intersections of race, poverty, ability, sexuality, and other social identities. Drawing from a recently released international statistical framework for measuring gender-related killings of women and girls, this article examines the presence of sex/gender-related motives and indicators in a Canadian sample, drawing data from publicly available information. While studies of femicide perpetrators have focused on background factors, such as criminal history and mental health conditions, little attention has been paid to their individual experiences. Perpetrators emotions and sense-making have often been overlooked and even dismissed. With a micro-sociological approach to violence, we identify the narrated emotions involved in the perpetration of intimate femicide. The data gathered are based on 33 open-ended interviews with convicted male perpetrators from Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Honduras, Mexico, and Venezuela. We identify four main emotions reflecting participants' experiences of femicide: Fear, expressed through stories of women as threats to self, family, and community; helplessness, expressed through stories of men being trapped, judged, and persecuted; and pain, connected to stories of jealousy and belittlement. These lead to anger, expressed through stories of bodily reactions and losing control. The findings indicate that intimate femicide perpetrators resort to lethal violence to regulate self-worth and remediate actions they feel were disruptive. Our research demonstrates the importance of embodied and narrated emotions to understand femicides. We argue that viewing femicide as a product of a shared pervasive emotional economy highlights the role of emotions in maintaining a gendered social order. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The full extent of feminicide in Mexico remains unknown. When available, data on the gender-related killing of women and girls are often incomplete, inaccurate, or inexplicable. In this article, a sociologist (Saide) and a statistician (Maria) query feminicide data in Mexico. Drawing on Timnit Gebru et al.'s 'datasheets for datasets' and Sarah Holland et al.'s 'data nutrition label' frameworks, we zoom in on the two primary governmental sources measuring feminicide in the country, the mortality records processed by the Instituto Nacional de Estadística, Geografía e Informática (INEGI) and the alleged feminicide investigation files published by the Secretariado Ejecutivo del Sistema Nacional de Seguridad Pública (SESNSP). In the discussion, we shed light on two noteworthy remarks. First, the discordance between INEGI and SESNSP data, whereby we outline four crucial variations: naming, underreporting, comparability, and availability. Second, the shortcomings of these data sources in measuring feminicide as we understand it sociologically. In other words, neither explicitly gauge the 'gender-related' motivation underlying the crime. Instead, what data from INEGI and SESNSP currently provide us with are discordant approximations of the phenomenon, aligning with what Sandra Walklate and Kate Fitz-Gibbon define as 'thin' feminicide counts. This contribution seeks to act as a guide to better understand feminicide data in Mexico, to enhance effective communication between data creators and users concerned with data-making practices, and to ignite the querying of data engaging with social justice and accountability against feminicide and beyond. O romance de não ficção Garotas Mortas (2018), de Selva Almada, retrata a história real de três jovens assassinadas na Argentina dos anos 80, casos ainda não resolvidos. O presente ensaio propõe uma análise das reflexões da autora ao reconstruir essas histórias, destacando o papel dos supostos agressores na herança patriarcal de dominação masculina. A obra demonstra como o poder de decidir sobre a vida das mulheres, especialmente as pobres e não brancas, não é mera coincidência, mas resultado de construções históricas dentro de uma lógica capitalista colonial e misógina. A análise aqui proposta tem como objetivo refletir brevemente sobre a obra literaria Garotas Mortas (2018), relacionando-a às questões das relações sociais de gênero, a fim de destacar as significativas contribuições da obra para o feminismo contemporâneo, especialmente no enfrentamento à cultura do estupro e do feminicídio. A metodologia de pesquisa envolve analisar as reflexões da autora sobre as condições das garotas assassinadas, comparando-as com teorias de gênero para explicar o processo violento que as mulheres são submetidas até se tornarem vítimas de feminicídio. Ao embasar a análise da obra nos textos de Maria Lugones (2020), Silvia Federici (2017) e Maria Clementina Cunha (1989), observa-se que a violência contra a mulher se perpetua como uma herança histórica do poder patriarcal e colonial. Como resultado, a pesquisa destaca a importância de confrontar essas questões para promover processos de conscientização e transformação social, visando contribuir para o enfrentamento às diversas violências desferidas contra as mulheres.

El presente texto busca analizar cómo se sancionan el feminicidio y el transfeminicido en la legislación penal colombiana, a través del artículo 104-A del Código Penal colombiano. Para ello se hace, en primer lugar, un esfuerzo por dotar de contenido los elementos subjetivos que contiene el tipo penal. Al dotar de contenido los elementos subjetivos no solo se comprende en qué consisten las conductas sancionadas, sino que estas se pueden diferenciar entre sí y de otras manifestaciones de violencia de género. Por último, se expli­ca la importancia y la necesidad de tener en cuenta los contextos generales y específicos en los que suelen tener lugar los feminicidios y transfeminicidios, necesidad que fundamenta el listado de circunstancias contextuales contenidas en el artículo 104-A del Código Penal colombiano.

El artículo explora la problemática del feminicidio en Bogotá y la respuesta del Estado a través de la Estrategia de las Duplas de Atención Psicosocial de la Secretaría Distrital de la Mujer. Esta estrategia, vigente desde 2015, se enfoca en la atención interdisciplinaria de mujeres en riesgo de feminicidio, mediante el trabajo conjunto de trabajadoras sociales y psicólogas. La investigación resalta la importancia de esta estrategia por su enfoque interdisciplinario, su sostenibilidad a lo largo de varias administraciones y su capacidad de adaptación. Además, se subraya la manera como la estrategia enfrenta las barreras de acceso a la justicia y la atención, proporcionando un acompañamiento móvil y flexible. El artículo concluye que la estrategia representa una buena práctica para la prevención del feminicidio y la garantía de los derechos humanos de las mujeres, al tiempo que identifica desafíos y puntos para mejorar en la implementación de esta política pública.

Los feminicidios son un problema grave y urgente en muchas partes del mundo. El objetivo del estudio es determinar la relación de actitud hacia el feminicidio con los factores de riesgo y apoyo social percibido de funcionarios públicos del municipio de Oruro durante el primer semestre de la gestión 2023. El enfoque es cuantitativo, el tipo de investigación descriptiva con diseño correlacional, no experimental, transversal. Los instrumentos aplicados son la Escala de Actitud hacia el Feminicidio (EAF), Escala de Factores de Riesgo de feminicidio y Violencia Grave en la Pareja (EPF) y la Escala de Apoyo Social Percibido (MOS). La muestra de estudio comprende a 100 funcionarios de instituciones públicas en la atención, prevención de la violencia de género y feminicidio del municipio de Oruro, durante el primer semestre de la gestión 2023. Se concluye que, desde la teoría de la actitud, los factores de riesgo de feminicidio y la teoría del apoyo social percibido, se puede inferir significativamente la actitud de los funcionarios públicos hacia el feminicidio.

The objective of this work is to show the critical and pedagogical potential of artistic, feminist, collective and street practices from the experience of a participatory artistic action activated in the public space, and of the demands, desires, and commitments against femicide of the women who have been involved. The theoretical coordinates range from the notes by Amorós and de Miguel (2020) on feminism as a critical theory, the socio-historical and political analysis of violence by Martín-Baró (1990), Segato’s (2019) approaches regarding “expressive violence” to the proposal to understand performative and autoethnographic prac)tices as producers of unconventional epistemologies and weavers of complex, fluid knowledge about subjectivities (Calderón, 2021). The methodology used involved a qualitative analysis of the discourse included in the survival certificates of nearly two hundred women, as well as a reflective analysis of the experience perceived by the artist-researchers. The aim of the article is to analyze certain elements of the critique of feminist political economy that can contribute to an understanding of femicide. This critique includes the theory of value-dissociation in conjunction with other ideas of contemporary Marxist feminism and coincides with a number of findings of traditional research of femicide, in addition to making new contributions to explain this form of violence, by clarifying the dialectic relationship between patriarchy and capitalism, in theoretical-methodological coordination with Critical Theory. The purpose is to analyze the social historical constellation that explains the relationship between patriarchy and capitalism —its immanent logic and dialectical relationship— from a perspective of negative totality that makes visible, at least at a first approximation level, some of the articulations between the different dimensions of social life that can contribute to the explanation of femicidal violence. This theoretical review article describes the educational strategies for the prevention of femicide in indexed publications published between 1991 and 2022 on the prevention of femicide, prevention of intimate femicide, and prevention of intimate partner violence. The identified strategies are transdisciplinary, extending beyond the field of pedagogy and educational studies, and are grouped into three types: 1) educational strategies for femicide prevention in early childhood, primary, secondary and university education; 2) educational strategies for femicide prevention based on art and feminist activism; and 3) government-led educational strategies for femicide prevention developed within the framework of research. It was found that the disciplinary and professional fields of pedagogy are equated in the publications, and that educational strategies for the prevention of femicide result from the work of inter- and transdisciplinary teams from governmental, educational and civil organizations with expertise in femicide and its prevention, gender and intersectionality. Violence against women in intimate partner relationships (IPVAW) and intimate partner homicide against women (IPHAW) are events of great relevance, and first-order in the media. Through a comprehensive review of 171 cases of IPHAW and 201 cases of IPVAW, the aim of this study is to explore those characteristics that differentiate and resemble the non-lethal aggressors' group from the femicides' group. Age differences were found in variables related to criminal career, drug use, and others, such as being in a separation process or suicidal behaviour related variables. Our results indicate that, although the perpetrators of these criminal typologies share common characteristics, there are also many others that differentiate them. This shows the need for individualized treatments for the different perpetrators and offers the possibility of refining tools for predicting the risk of intimate partner femicide. Based on feminist critical theory, this article analyzes the perspectives of violence presented in the novel Mulheres empilhadas (2019) written by Patrícia Melo, using the theoretical support of Collins and Bilge (2021), Bourdieu (2022), Foucault (2014), Butler (2021), Segato (2003 and 2016), Vergès (2020), in alignment with the decolonial perspective and the intersectional approache, highlighting and in dialogue with other texts that also deal with the topic. The believable tone of the author’s criminal narratives will allow analogies with countless forms of systemic violence already perpetrated socially. Based on discussions of poetic elements that are structured on the border between fiction and reality, as well as surveys of suggested points relevant to the analytical proposal, the reading will focus on the need for solutions so that all people, especially those with a female identity, can have their own spaces of speech and existence guaranteed. Femicide is a complex problem that involves successive forms of violence in emotional relationships, causing significant individual and collective consequences. The objective was to analyze the representational systems present in the discursive repertoires in legal sentences about cases of feminicide in the state of Bahia, in 2020 and 2021. Documentary study of cases reported as feminicide by the Public Ministry in 2020/2021 in Bahia, available at Jusbrasil Platform. 121 documents were found, of which 15 sentences met the inclusion criteria. These were analyzed using the Social Network Analysis approach. The results revealed significant differences in judicial decisions and their reasoning. When comparing the positions between male and female judges, it was noticeable to identify these differences related to gender. Thus, the sentences were mainly anchored in sexist justifications, materialized from the sentences in the representational system. O artigo apresenta uma discussão sobre a Lei do Feminicídio (13.104/15) no Brasil, a propósito dos oito de sua criação, a partir de uma análise que considera a) a relevância da inserção deste instrumento jurídico no Código Penal brasileiro; b) o contexto de retrocessos políticos e sociais vivenciados no Brasil brasileiro e suas implicações para o enfrentamento da violência de gênero; c) os enquadramentos e limitações configurados atualmente na legislação do feminicídio. A partir de uma discussão teórico-bibliográfica e da análise empírica de situações de violências de gênero vivenciadas por mulheres brasileiras (de ameaça a feminicídio), o texto reflete sobre os desafios existentes para que a lei cumpra seu propósito, especialmente em casos situados para além da violência letal ocorrida em contexto doméstico e familiar e, sobretudo, para que os mecanismos de proteção das vidas das mulheres possam potencializar a redução da letalidade feminicida no país.

Resumo A violência contra as mulheres em entornos domésticos e familiares tem raízes na desigualdade existente entre os gêneros. Estudos sobre autores de violência letal são necessários para uma compreensão ampliada do fenômeno. O objetivo do estudo é caracterizar os crimes dessa natureza e seus autores, mediante autópsias verbais realizadas com conhecidos e familiares de mulheres vítimas de homicídio na cidade de Campinas. No total, foram estudados 38 casos de homicídio feminino, dos quais 63,2% correspondem a feminicídios. A maioria dos responsáveis pelos crimes eram conhecidos (parceiros, cônjuges e namorados) nos casos de feminicídio, e desconhecidos (sujeitos cuja identidade foi ignorada) nos casos de homicídio feminino. As mortes ocorreram majoritariamente em entornos domésticos, sendo ocasionadas mediante o uso expressivo de violência e o emprego de objetos cortantes/perfurantes e armas de fogo. A fuga foi a conduta mais frequente depois da perpetração dos assassinatos. Os casos foram discutidos articulando intervenções voltadas para grupos reflexivos de masculinidade, centros de educação e reabilitação ou programas de recuperação, problematizando as dificuldades e ganhos no marco da Lei Maria da Penha.

This article analyzes the hybrid textuality of Chicas muertas by Selva Almada based on the concept of “postautonomy” as coined by Josefina Ludmer. The aim of this study is to analyze discursive tactics employed to depict unpunished femicides in Argentina: rewriting, fragmented narratives, and archival sourcing. Drawing from anthropological, philosophical and canonical feminist studies, this article contributes to academic discussions on the interplay between the male gaze, consumerist ideology associated with hegemonic patriarchy. The methodology involves examining the interconnectedness of the text components and their modes of communication, while also considering the role of testimonies in political activism.

O artigo busca investigar a presença de crianças e adolescentes em contextos de feminicídio íntimo ou doméstico no Estado do Paraná, tal qual compreender o tratamento das sentenças judiciais a estes grupos. Para tanto, a partir de coleta empírica, apresenta dados divididos em dois grupos: (1) qual o perfil de descendentes da vítima, comuns com o autor do feminicídio ou somente da vítima, em contextos de feminicídio, sobretudo quanto à faixa etária e à existência ou não de agravos decorrentes de intervenções na cena do crime; e (2) se a sentença judicial do caso considera ou não, de alguma forma, a presença de descendentes. Os resultados apontam para um tratamento diferencial oferecido pelo sistema de justiça criminal que acarreta consequências distintas para autores de feminicídio, como também produz repertório decisional diverso para situações envolvendo a presença, a intervenção e o agravo envolvendo crianças e adolescentes em contextos de feminicídio. This article craves to investigate the presence of children and teenagers in contexts of intimate or domestic feminicide on the Paraná state, as well as to understand the treatment of court sentences for these groups. Therefore, based on empirical data, the collected information is divided into two groups: (1) what is the profile of the victim’s descendants – and if they are or aren’t common with the feminicide defendant –, especially regarding the age group and the existence or not of aggravation resulting from interventions at the crime scene; and (2) whether or not the court decision in the case considers, in any way, the presence of descendants. The results point to a differential treatment offered by the criminal justice system that has different consequences for perpetrators of femicide, but also produces a diverse decision-making repertoire for situations involving the presence, intervention and aggravation involving children and teenagers in femicide contexts.

La emergencia sanitaria ocasionada por la pandemia del virus SARS-CoV-2 produjo limitaciones y cambios en la movilidad que transformaron el comportamiento, tanto de la sociedad en general como de los actores criminales en particular, impactando en los índices delictivos. Esto llevó a pensar a algunos analistas en la posibilidad de un “efecto rebote en el delito”, luego de terminar el resguardo derivado de la pandemia. El objetivo de este artículo es revisar el impacto de la pandemia y sus medidas de confinamiento sobre la violencia letal contra las mujeres en México y Colombia. Para ello, a través de un ejercicio de estadística descriptiva, se analiza la tendencia del comportamiento del homicidio en ambos países desagregado por género, focalizando el análisis en 2019, 2020 y 2021, años considerados como periodos pre pandemia, pandemia y pospandemia. Los hallazgos demuestran la falta de evidencia de un aumento significativo en los delitos de homicidio, homicidios de mujeres y feminicidios en relación con el periodo pre pandemia. Los homicidios de mujeres y los feminicidios dan cuenta de una continuidad en la cadena de violencias que reciben las mujeres a lo largo de su vida.

O objetivo deste artigo é desenvolver uma leitura reflexiva do romance Mulheres empilhadas (2019), de Patrícia Melo, a partir da crítica feminista. O tema central da narrativa é a violência contra as mulheres em suas diversas faces, particularmente a violência doméstica e o feminicídio. A cada capítulo, o livro desempilha corpos de mulheres revelando histórias marcadas por estruturas simbólicas, socioculturais e políticas de hierarquias sexistas que sustentam e naturalizam práticas de violências contra as mulheres. A hipótese sustentada é a de que Mulheres empilhadas é um projeto ético e estético que põe em evidência as lutas e os enfrentamentos que ainda precisam ser travados contra os discursos e as práticas patriarcais que insistem em invisibilizar, subalternizar e matar as mulheres. Como suporte teórico utilizamos Carole Pateman (1993), Judith Butler (2019), Rita Segato (2005) entre outros.

Introducción: En la mayoría de ocasiones, la violencia contra la mujer, es cometida por su pareja o expareja, siendo un problema de salud pública mundial que casi siempre termina en un feminicidio. Este se entiende como el asesinato de una mujer por el hecho de serlo, perpetuando la inequidad de género. Objetivo: Visibilizar el feminicidio en Cali a partir de su caracterización epidemiológica. Materiales y métodos: Se realizó un estudio descriptivo de base poblacional de fuentes secundarias, a partir de 287 registros de muertes violentas en mujeres, de los cuales se identificaron y analizaron 53 casos atendidos en la unidad de vida de delitos contra la mujer de la Fiscalía entre el 2017 al 2019, tipificados como feminicidio. La caracterización epidemiológica se realizó con base en la información suministrada que permitió identificar las variables de estudio: edad, mecanismo, lugar de ocurrencia, medida de aseguramiento del victimario y sentencia. Resultados: El feminicidio se presentó entre los 9 y 89 años, el mecanismo más utilizado fue el arma corto punzante. Sólo en el 18,9% se ha dictado sentencia condenatoria. Conclusiones: El feminicidio se presenta en cualquier edad, tiene un alto grado de impunidad en muchas ocasiones por la ineficiencia del sistema judicial.

Introducción: La violencia en contra de la mujer es un problema que afecta a la población mundial, teniendo su máxima expresión a través del feminicidio. Debido a la reciente y desigual legislación de este fenómeno, estudios al respecto son recientes y han girado en torno a determinar tipologías de agresores donde la criminalidad juega un papel importante como factor de riesgo. Así mismo, existen muy pocos estudios directos con personas que han cometido feminicidio. Objetivo: Conocer el nivel de criminalidad en sentenciados por el delito de feminicidio. Materiales y métodos: A través de una lista con 20 dimensiones se evaluó a 62 personas privadas de su libertad por el delito de feminicidio. Resultados: Se encontraron cuatro niveles de criminalidad que van de baja a muy alta, los principales indicadores que marcan la diferencia entre estos niveles son los que se refieren a la violencia de pareja e historia de consumo de alcohol y drogas. Conclusión: Los indicadores que marcan la diferencia entre los niveles de criminalidad, se encuentran una historia de violencia hacia la pareja como una forma de resolver conflictos, asociada al consumo de alcohol y sustancias psicoactivas.

O presente artigo objetiva ampliar a compreensão do feminicídio no Brasil através da análise pormenorizada de seus aspectos conceituais, jurídicos e sociais. A metodologia empregada consistiu no uso da pesquisa bibliográfica e documental. O estudo demonstra a importância de analisar o tema numa perspectiva de totalidade e a partir da abordagem interseccional, como forma de apreender as estruturas e os sistemas de opressão que engendram a prática do feminicídio no país. No Brasil, há uma tendência de morrer/serem assassinadas um tipo específico de raça/etnia/cor da pele, pois conforme o Anuário Brasileiro de Segurança Pública de 2022, 62% das que são assassinadas por feminicídio são mulheres negras. A prevalência dessas mortes sinaliza para omissão das instituições públicas na proteção de mulheres que mais padecem. O artigo pretende, a luz da interseccionalidade, contribuir para a construção de um saber feminista mais realista acerca do feminicídio no Brasil e subsidiar o debate em torno de políticas públicas mais efetivas, tendo como base as dimensões de raça/etnia, gênero e orientação sexual.

O feminicídio é um problema complexo que envolve sucessivas formas de violências nas relações afetivas, acarretando consequências significativas individuais e coletivas. Objetivou-se analisar os sistemas representacionais presentes nos repertórios discursivos em sentenças jurídicas acerca dos casos de feminicídio no estado da Bahia, nos anos de 2020 e 2021. Estudo documental de casos denunciados como feminicídio pelo Ministério Público em 2020/2021 na Bahia, disponíveis na Plataforma Jusbrasil. Foram encontrados 121 documentos, destes, 15 sentenças cumpriram os critérios de inclusão. Estas, foram analisadas mediante a abordagem da Análise de Redes Sociais. Os resultados revelaram diferenças expressivas nas decisões judiciais e em suas fundamentações. Ao comparar os posicionamentos entre juízes e juízas, foi perceptível identificar essas divergências relacionadas ao gênero. Assim, as sentenças foram principalmente ancoradas em justificativas sexistas, materializadas a partir das sentenças no sistema representacional. Dentre estas, motivações do crime como, ciúmes, sentimento de posse e separação.

Este artículo pretende analizar cómo Cristina Rivera Garza construye memoria sobre el feminicidio de su hermana en El invencible verano de Liliana (2021). Se parte de observar que, al realizar un trabajo profundo con las memorias desde el presente, los marcos culturales desde los que se reconfiguran las experiencias pasadas proveen las herramientas y el lenguaje que inciden en la forma en que se rememora. En este sentido, el lenguaje y la perspectiva que aportan a Rivera Garza los feminismos tanto teóricos como activistas, detonan un tipo de mirada que activa las memorias desde otra situacionalidad. Se postula entonces que el recorrido que Rivera Garza realiza vincula las labores de investigación y montaje con la puesta en movimiento de afectos y recuerdos, configurando así un archivo otro, un mapa-plano móvil y multidimensional que traza conexiones desde el pasado hasta el presente. A través de este archivo, es posible reflexionar sobre el pasado con herramientas actuales y construir así una memoria dinámica que interpela a sus lectores, activándoles también. El dinamismo por el que apuesta, desde una obra difícilmente encasillable en un género en particular, es parte de su dimensión política.

O texto discute a relação entre a pandemia de Covid-19 e os casos de feminicídio registrados no Pará, a partir da análise de narrativas jornalísticas publicadas pelo portal G1 Pará entre 2020 e 2021. O ponto de partida argumentativo é a constatação da ausência de sistematização dos registros de feminicídios e violências contra mulheres durante a pandemia. Em seguida, discute-se o caráter estrutural das violências de gênero, e o feminicídio como expressão máxima dessas opressões. O exame da cobertura jornalística revelou dois aspectos principais: primeiro, a maioria das notícias aborda o feminicídio enquanto destino trágico de suas vítimas, jogando ênfase às cenas desses crimes; segundo, apenas as matérias de levantamentos de registros e ocorrências construíram um nexo entre o aumento de feminicídios e os impactos da pandemia de Covid-19.

The text discusses the link between the Covid-19 pandemic and cases of feminicide registered in Pará, based on the analysis of journalistic narratives published by the G1 Pará in 2020 and 2021. The argumentative starting point is the observation of the absence of systematization records of feminicides and violence against women during the pandemic. Initially, we noted the lack of systematization of records of feminicides and violence against women during the pandemic. Then, we discuss the structural character of gender violence and feminicide as the maximum expression of these oppressions. Examination of the journalistic coverage revealed two main aspects: first, most of the news addresses femicide as the tragic fate of its victims, placing emphasis on the scenes of these crimes; second, only the reports on surveys of records and occurrences established a link between the increase in cases of feminicides and the impacts of the Covid-19 pandemic. La lectura contextual de la Biblia (LCB) es una forma comunitaria de interpretar textos bíblicos desde una realidad particular que se busca cambiar. Esta manera de leer los textos y los contextos promueve la justicia a través del empoderamiento de grupos marginados que transforman la realidad mediante sus propias capacidades. El artículo, que pone en evidencia la dimensión social de la hermenéutica bíblica y su necesario recurso a la interdisciplinaridad, muestra algunos aspectos de la interpretación del capítulo 19 del Libro de los Jueces, en el marco de un proyecto de investigación acción participativa, hecha por dos grupos de mujeres colombianas en condición de vulnerabilidad. El relato, en el cual la concubina de un levita es violada y descuartizada, refleja diferentes aspectos de la realidad experimentada por las lectoras del texto, cuya interpretación les permite darse cuenta de las posibilidades que tienen para transformar sus contextos particulares.

Neste artigo, as autoras analisam a forma como a imprensa relata casos de feminicídio no Brasil e demonstram que em muitos casos existe uma culpabilização das mulheres pelo crime que lhes tirou a vida. Essa narrativa acontece tanto na esfera linguística, com o uso disseminado de verbos na voz passiva, quanto nas imagens e no subtexto das reportagens, que insiste em expressar o feminicídio como crime passional. O artigo conclui pela necessidade urgente e coletiva de repensar a forma como o relato jornalístico é construído.

Este trabalho tem o objetivo de examinar os efeitos de sentido produzidos pelo discurso jornalístico sobre feminicídio, especificamente no que diz respeito à utilização de estatísticas nestas narrativas. O corpus de análise é composto por 43 matérias de telejornais da Rede Globo, que foram veiculadas entre 2018 e 2020 e disponibilizadas na ferramenta Globoplay. A hipótese do presente artigo é que a quantificação do feminicídio atua em conjunto com o recurso à emotividade dos espectadores, detendo a função de chamar a atenção e promover o choque – porém, não no sentido de um ganho informativo, mas sim de uma dramaticidade despotencializada.

Este artículo cualitativo describe crítica, empírica, comparativa y longitudinalmente los discursos compartidos e independientes de los periódicos El Tiempo y Q’hubo sobre el feminicidio, desde julio del 2015, fecha de la tipificación de este delito en Colombia, hasta julio del 2022. Una combinación entre los principios del Análisis Crítico del Discurso con perspectiva Feminista y los del Análisis Crítico del Discurso enfocado en el periodismo, permitieron analizar 324 noticias sobre feminicidios en Bogotá. Los resultados señalan que no todos los discursos de revictimización hacia las mujeres estuvieron simultáneamente presentes en los periódicos seleccionados, que El Tiempo respetó a las víctimas al no minimizarlas para sentir lástima ni al referirse a ellas con adjetivos peyorativos, mientras que las representaciones de Q’hubo estuvieron marcadas constantemente por descripciones del aspecto físico de las mujeres, y que la falta de precisión en el empleo del concepto de feminicidio fue evidente en ambas publicaciones.
