This paper explores the philosophical concept of epistemic injustice and contends its significance and relevance to mental health nurse education and clinical practice. The term epistemic injustice may be unfamiliar to mental health nurses, yet the effects are readily visible in the dismissing, silencing, and doubting of service users' knowledge, testimony, and interpretation. Existing professional values and clinical standards lack depth and critical exploration pertaining to epistemology and associated ethical concerns. Despite central tenets of person-centred care and valuing the service users' voice, epistemic injustice continues to occur. Epistemic injustice cannot be summed up merely by asking nurses to listen to service users. This represents an oversimplification of epistemology, ignoring the complexities of social influence and knowledge exchanges. Epistemic injustice brings something new and innovative to the nursing curriculum and fits within the principles of heutagogy. It encourages deep reflexivity surrounding the ethical issues of power inequalities and intersectionality. Inclusion in mental health nursing education allows for the social and political powers of psychiatric diagnosis as a form of silencing and stigma to be examined. Practical application is made to mental health nursing education and practice with epistemological values and ethical reflexive prompts. Background: Human behaviors are powerful and possibly modifiable health determinants. Choosing the appropriate behavioral change model is essential for the effectiveness of any health intervention. The overall aim of the article is to present Pender's Health Promotion Model (Pender’s HPM), which remains still unknown in Bulgarian context. Methods: A desk review of publications in PubMed, Scopus and Google scholar with keywords "Nola Pender's Health Promotion Model" and "nursing theories" in Bulgarian and English. The search was conducted in February 2024. Results: Pender’s HPM – theoretical basis, definitions, and components are presented. HPM was developed by Prof. Nola Pender in 1982 and modified later because of the multiple practical applications. The essential contribution of this article is the creative and competent translation and introduction of Pender’s HPM definitions, assumptions, and components for the Bulgarian public health community. Pender’s HPM – applications are followed. Initially, HPM was created for the purpose of changing individual behaviors. Later, it has been used successfully for changing family dynamics, communities etc. The model has been used extensively in observational and interventional studies, including supporting healthy behaviors during COVID-19. Conclusion: Pender’s HPM is effective and flexible, offering fluent health promotion implementations. From a pedagogical point of view, there is a great deal of creativity and practice in teaching conceptual models and nursing theories. However, there seems to be no synthesis of knowledge regarding the pedagogical methods used to teach them. The purpose of this scoping review is to map the available literature on the teaching of nursing conceptual models and theories in undergraduate nursing education. The scoping review will be developed in accordance with the JBI scoping review methodology and the PRISMA scoping review checklist. The aim of the results is to map the available literature data that can serve as inspiration and a foundation for the development of specific courses on conceptual models and theories in nursing sciences. Background/Objectives: Job satisfaction is crucial for healthcare professionals, and understanding its influencing factors is essential for fostering a positive work environment, reducing turnover rates, and improving the overall quality of patient care. This systematic review examined the factors linked to nurse job satisfaction in psychiatric hospitals and diverse psychiatric settings, analyzing the findings through the lens of Herzberg's theory. Despite existing evidence, gaps remain in understanding the differences in factors affecting job satisfaction across various settings. Methods: Following the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analysis guidelines, we conducted a comprehensive systematic review by searching six databases, namely PubMed, CINAHL, Cochrane Library, PsycINFO, Scopus, and APA PsycNet. Our search yielded an initial 567 studies published between January 2014 and February 2024, which were subsequently screened and evaluated based on predetermined inclusion criteria. Following this process, a total of 16 studies were deemed eligible for final analysis. Each of these selected studies underwent an independent review by two authors, utilizing the Joanna Briggs Institute checklist tool to ensure rigorous assessment. Results: The findings revealed that interpersonal relationships, working conditions, and recognition were the most frequently reported factors associated with nurse job satisfaction, along with various extrinsic, intrinsic, personal, emotional, and psychosocial factors. Notably, psychiatric hospitals showed a mix of personal, extrinsic, intrinsic, and psychosocial factors influencing job satisfaction, with demographic factors being the most frequently examined. In contrast, diverse psychiatric settings focused more on external aspects impacting job satisfaction. Conclusions: The review highlights the importance of both intrinsic and extrinsic factors and suggests that future research should employ more robust methods and consider psychiatric hospitals and other mental health contexts. Despite being considered the proverbial backbone of our healthcare systems, nursing still seems to struggle to scientifically demonstrate its contribution to care experiences and patient outcomes. This leads to erosive tendencies that threaten the development of the profession and its progress as an academic discipline. With this paper, we want to contribute to the theoretical discourse concerning the nature of nursing and the research into its effectiveness. We begin by outlining a set of prevailing paradoxes and their consequences relating to nursing and nursing research: the issue of demonstrating its unique contribution despite a clear societal mandate; a discrepancy between subjectively experienced effectiveness and objectively ascertainable effectiveness; and a mismatch between theoretical premises of nursing and task‐oriented cultures in practice environments. Using an example of a seemingly simple nursing intervention, we intend to demonstrate the qualities and complexities of nursing. We further illustrate this by drawing on several of our research projects using theory‐based evaluation methodologies. From these illustrative examples, we distil two insights relating to nursing interventions that we consider fundamental: the nurse, as a person, is central to its unique effectiveness; and there is always an interplay between context, intervention and its intended effect. Social theory plays an important role in the nursing discipline and nursing inquiry as it helps conceptually embed nursing in the larger picture of the social world. For example, a broad category of critical theory provides a unique lens for uncovering social conditions of inequity and oppression. Among the sociological theories, actor‐network theory (ANT) is an approach to research and analysis that has recently gained interest among nurse philosophers and researchers. Studies guided by ANT seek to understand phenomena of interest as constituted within the relationships between human and nonhuman actors to understand how care practices are co‐created/enacted and how they can be made more humane. In this paper, we describe the benefits of ANT for examining healthcare access for incarcerated individuals with life‐limiting illnesses accessing palliative care and for people using illicit drugs. Occupational Health Nursing (OHN) has followed a complex path to build and strengthen its theoretical basis. Starting with Public Health core principles, theories were shaped by the dualism of person worker and working environment, where sometimes the centre of the thought was given to the latter and other times to the former. The problem was not much on such conflict but on the definition of the correct OHN focus and whether genuine nursing knowledge was being applied. We are worried that other disciplines radically influenced the theoretical path taken by OHN theorists. To approach this problem, a unitary‐transformative perspective can help us describe and analyse this phenomenon and engage scholars to reflect upon the accurate epistemological focus of OHN. The imperative to decolonise health disciplines underscores the need for a critical examination of the coloniality of nursing knowledge development. Decolonising nursing requires epistemic resistance aimed at exposing and dismantling epistemological hierarchies that marginalise indigenous knowledges. This paper introduces the 'Pluriverse of Nursologies' as paradigm to guide decolonial theorising in nursing. Through a four‐part exploration, I first elucidate the coloniality embedded in mainstream nursing knowledge. Next, I offer a decolonial critique of Fawcett's nursing metaparadigm as an exemplar of pyramidal epistemology. I then discuss pluriversality as an approach to decolonising nursing knowledge. Finally, I introduce the Pluriverse of Nursologies (PoN) as a meta‐theoretical paradigm for theory and knowledge development that decentres and dismantles the pyramidal epistemology of colonial/modern nursing, and relinks diverse nursologies from marginalised communities to the centre of intellectual nursing discourse, thereby revitalising the theoretical landscape of the discipline. Enactivism is a branch of embodied cognition theory that argues for a highly distributed model of cognition as a sense‐making process involving brain, body, environment, and subjective experience. It is a theoretical framework with potential value for nursing since it offers an integrated framework for human sense‐making that includes physiological and psychological factors as well as the primary experience of subjective perceptions. This paper presents an introduction to the background and main tenets of enactivist theory. In this article, we aimed to evaluate the utility of critical posthumanism for nurses interested in planetary health—a growing area of study that requires a decentering of the human, and environmental justice considerations. We used Chinn and colleagues' method to describe and critically reflect on critical posthumanism, extending the theory analysis method to include a wide range of academic and video sources. We found that critical posthumanism is like a double‐edged sword: It provides a lens through which to transcend human‐centric approaches to healthcare but is marred by its lack of clarity and inaccessibility. We argue critical posthumanism can be adapted to enhance its potential at the intersection of nursing and planetary health. An analysis of critical posthumanism is followed by a discussion framed by five ways of knowing in nursing, highlighting real‐world examples of how critical posthumanism can aid nurses in dealing with planetary health concerns. By exploring the intersections of critical posthumanism with nursing knowledge, we demonstrate how critical posthumanism can enable nurses to comprehend and tackle environmental issues intricately linked to human health. This article explores the application of actor‐network theory (ANT) to the nursing profession, proposing a novel perspective in understanding nursing in the context of modern digital healthcare. Traditional grand nursing theories, while foundational, often fail to encapsulate the dynamic and complex nature of nursing, particularly in an era of rapid technological advancements and shifting societal dynamics. ANT, with its emphasis on the relationships between human and nonhuman actors, offers a framework to understand nursing beyond traditional paradigms. This article makes two key arguments: first, that nursing can be viewed as a highly organised social assemblage, where both human (nurses, patients and policymakers) and nonhuman actors (technologies, medical equipment, institutional policies) play a crucial role, and second, that ANT can be used to enhance existing nursing theory to better understand the role of technology in nursing practice. The article considers how ANT can provide a more holistic and adaptable model for describing the nursing profession, particularly in an era where technology plays an integral role in healthcare delivery. It discusses the implications of viewing nursing through ANT, highlighting the need for nursing education and practice to adapt to the interconnected and technologically advanced nature of modern healthcare. The article also acknowledges the limitations of ANT, particularly its potential oversimplification of the complex ethical dimensions inherent in nursing and its focus on observable phenomena. Purpose: To describe a middle range theory (MRT) with conceptual and explicative capacity of cause and effect situations of Ineffective social support network in nursing. Data sources: Descriptive study developed through the Lopes, Silva, and Herdman theoretical‐causal validity method, using five steps for theory construction: definition of the approach for constructing the MRT, definition of the main concepts, development of the pictorial diagram, construction of propositions, and establishment of causal relationships and evidence for practice. The foundation of these steps and the development of a predictive nursing theory occurred through Sanicola's Social Network Theory combined with studies from an integrative literature review using the six steps proposed by Whittemore and Knafl. Data synthesis—findings: The theory presents etiological factors and clinical indicators for Ineffective social support network, connecting situations related to the person, the members and the configuration of this network, and external situations. The pictogram, symbolically created, represents the hierarchical classification of proximal, intermediate, and distal etiological factors, and their relationship with clinical indicators. Conclusions: The MRT, predictive for the nursing phenomenon Ineffective social support network, provides understanding of the person from an interpersonal perspective, which interferes with and is affected by a network of virtues and vicissitudes, and has negative influences on health outcomes. Due to its practical vocation, this theory represents an advance in the science and praxis of nursing. Nurse scholar Karen J. Foli has had an unconventional trajectory. She has written everything from mysteries to thrillers to peer-reviewed journal manuscripts and Food and Drug Administration documents. She conceptualized and disseminated two middle-range theories, one surrounding parental postadoption depression and one surrounding nurses' psychological trauma. Foli's research has revealed a new type of nurse-specific trauma, insufficient resource trauma, which calls for efforts at the organizational level. Although many situation-specific theories have been developed during the past several years, few of them have been analyzed and evaluated using criteria that are relevant for this type of theory. The purpose of this paper is to propose modifications in Fawcett's analysis and evaluation criteria of theories for application to situation-specific theories. The position taken is that important but minor adjustments are required to make these criteria suitable for the analysis and evaluation of situation-specific theories, taking the similarities and differences between middle-range theories and situation-specific theories into account. Organizational culture is complex because different systems and patterns influence it. It is linked with the decreasing turnover rate of nurses, increasing job satisfaction and commitment, and improving performance. This concept was examined using Walker and Avant's concept analysis method. The five attributes of organizational culture are workplace environment, behaviors, values, beliefs, and attitudes. Antecedents are people, communication, teamwork, leadership, and relationships. The consequences are described as a positive and negative organizational culture. Purpose: We evaluated the feasibility, acceptability and preliminary efficacy of a standardized nurse delivered mobile phone intervention to improve adherence to antiretroviral treatment and clinical outcomes. Methods: Feasibility and acceptability of the phone intervention was assessed with rates of eligibility, completed visits, and attritions. Intervention fidelity was assessed by checking recorded calls and feedback. Efficacy was assessed using a randomized controlled trial in which 120 women living with HIV and psychosocial vulnerabilities, were randomized to Treatment as Usual (TAU = 60) or TAU plus the mobile phone intervention (N = 60). Trained basic nurses delivered the theory-guided, standardized mobile phone intervention for mental health issues and psychosocial risk factors to improve antiretroviral treatment (ART) adherence and retention in care and improve clinical outcomes. Blind raters performed the assessments at 6, 12 and 24 weeks post-randomization. Results: Adherence diminished over time in the TAU only group, while it was sustained in the TAU Plus group, only dropping at 24 weeks after the intervention had been discontinued. Among participants with depressive symptoms (CESD ≥ 16), the intervention had significant improvement in adherence rates (p < 0.01), psychological quality of life (p < 0.05) and illness perception (p < 0.05) compared to those in the TAU only group. Greater improvements of quality of life subscales were observed in the TAU Plus group among participants with less psychological vulnerability (PSV < 2). HIV RNA was not significantly different between the groups at week 24. Conclusions: The mobile-delivered counseling intervention was feasible and acceptable and shows promise among women living with HIV and psychosocial vulnerabilities in rural South India. Background: Type 2 diabetes can lead to severe foot complications, making self-care education, guided by clinical guidelines, crucial. However, fragmented and dispersed recommendations challenge effective implementation of these guidelines. Bringing together recommendations and presenting them according to a self-care model can provide a solid framework and facilitate the interpretation of results. Aims: to map the international guidelines that provide recommendations to nurses to enable people with type 2 diabetes for foot self-care and synthesize the recommendations according to the key concepts of the middle-range theory of self-care for chronic diseases. Design: A scoping review was undertaken, using the methodological guidance of the Joanna Briggs Institute. Data Sources: Databases were searched between September 2022 and June 2023, including PubMed, CINAHL, PsycINFO, Scopus, Web of Science Core Collection, ProQuest Dissertations and Theses Global, guideline websites and related professional association websites. The databases were chosen for their comprehensive coverage of the area. Methods: Eligible articles included guidance documents providing foot care recommendations for diabetes, published or updated between 2013 and 2023. Two reviewers summarized the recommendations presented in at least two guidelines according to the key concepts of the self-care model. The PRISMA-ScR checklist was used. Results: Seventeen guidelines were included. In total, we synthesized 175 recommendations. The recommendations were framed in three dimensions and their respective categories: Self-care maintenance (education for prevention, control of risk factors, daily foot care, footwear, and socks), Self-care monitoring (foot inspection, detection of signs of infection, and detection of other diabetes-related foot disease complications), and Self-care management (responses to signs and symptoms, foot wound care, follow-up with health professionals, and health services). Conclusions: The main aspect of foot care revolves around daily care, including cleaning, moisturizing, nail care, selecting appropriate footwear, and regular inspection of both feet and footwear. As society changes, so does nursing. Nursing is influenced by the logics of New Public Management and its focus on checklists and standardization. Meanwhile, patients request involvement, holism, and care. The purpose of this study was to explore how clinical nurses talk about and describe nursing. This study's aim was to identify central concepts that can describe the essence of nursing practice and thereby contribute to the knowledge base of nursing. Three group interviews were conducted in two clinical settings. Kvale & Brinkman's levels of understanding and collaborative data analysis guided the analysis. We identified three central concepts in clinical nursing: "Clinical judgement", "Seeing the patient", and "Relational time". Our findings suggest a discrepancy between what the clinical nurses perceive to be essential in nursing, and their actual clinical practice. Background: Professional identity in nursing (PIN) is a multifaceted construct that evolves throughout one's nursing career. As new knowledge about PIN emerges, the influence of diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB) becomes increasingly vital in shaping a nurse's identity. Method: Bronfenbrenner's ecological systems theory is used to illustrate the complex, reciprocal, and intersecting influences of DEIB in the transformational process of becoming a nurse. Results: The authors provide an in-depth analysis of the nexus of DEIB and PIN conceptual model, examine reciprocal relationships between DEIB and the individual and collective PIN, offer a detailed case study for the application of DEIB and PIN, and make recommendations for implementing the conceptual model. It seeks to offer a new paradigm for nursing practice that addresses healthcare's dynamic and evolving nature. Methods: The Nursing Theory of Complex Adaptive Systems represents a new nursing paradigm capable of addressing the challenges of a constantly evolving healthcare environment. This theory promotes personalized care plans adaptable to patients' changing needs by emphasizing a holistic and interactive approach to care. Results: It also underscores the importance of interprofessional collaboration and effective communication in improving the quality of care. The Nursing Theory of Complex Adaptive Systems has significant implications for nursing practice, education, and research. Conclusions: It provides a robust framework for developing adaptive and resilient nursing practices that can respond to the complexities of modern healthcare. Background: Given the complexity of student responsibilities and backgrounds, the need for additional support during graduate education is evident for overall success. An innovative role that addresses these complexities and mitigates issues facing today's nursing student was developed. Purpose: The Personal Faculty Mentor (PFM) role was developed to provide one, specific point of contact in an effort to support students throughout their MSN journey by completing new student orientation, individualized student outreach, frequent personal communication, and development of success plans. The PFM role also supports the faculty or instructor role by providing additional support and outreach with student concerns (low participation or scores). The overall purpose of the PFM is to improve student outcomes including pass rates, persistence rates, and satisfaction. Methods: Within the University's Master of Science in Nursing Accelerated Track (MSN AT) Advanced Generalist and Clinical Nurse Leader (CNL), the PFM role was implemented to support student success. The MSN AT has flexible due dates for assignments which lends for more intensive student support. Results: Since the PFM role has been in place since program inception (July 2019), persistence and program completion are on average 12% higher, as high as 29%, with those students who actively participate with their PFM. Through survey, students report high satisfaction with the PFM role and attribute part of their success to this supportive role. Each session, students who actively participate with their PFM have better persistence than those who do not. Limitations: While the anecdotal feedback and positive outcomes are noteworthy, this strategy did not involve an empirical research investigation. As a result, a causative relationship may not be concrete. There is clearly an improvement in the retention and persistence of students who engage regularly with the PFM; however, there are additional variables that may be impacting the outcomes that would be helpful to identify. Conclusions / Implications for Practice Student support promotes success. The role of the PFM provides individualized, student-centered support. Introduction: Hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HCT) greatly impacts the social, emotional, and physical well-being of the patient and their family. The transplant process imposes significant lifestyle restrictions that result in patient and family isolation, which has been further amplified during the COVID-19 pandemic era. While hospital systems recognize the importance of family engagement, the pandemic underscored the need to translate this philosophy more fully into practice. Method: We discuss the importance of engaging the family throughout the transplant experience to improve patient outcomes and overall family health and well-being. Results: We present the HCT family resilience model, a synthesis of multiple family and nursing theories and HCT concepts to better guide HCT family care. The theories and frameworks that inform our model address family functioning and growth in times of stress, coping strategies that promote positive family outcomes and resilience, and multicultural factors that may affect family experiences. A key contribution of our model is highlighting the role of family engagement in improving HCT family outcomes. Discussion: Application of a family systems lens highlights the essential role families play in the care of HCT patients and can foster family well-being. We offer the HCT family resilience conceptual model as a guide for practice and policy improvements to optimize care delivery for this patient and family population, as well as direction for future research. Enhanced recovery after surgery programs with median postoperative hospitalization of 2 days improve outcomes after lung cancer surgery. This article explores nursing care practices for patients with lung cancer who remain hospitalized despite having recovered somatically. Qualitative focus group interviews were conducted with 16 nurses. Ricoeur's phenomenological hermeneutics underpins the methodology applied in this study, and we relied on Benner and Wrubel's theory. The nurses emphasized that the thoughts of patients with a recent lung cancer diagnosis revolve around more than the surgery. Nursing comprises not only practicalities but also attending to patients' stress and their coping with being struck with lung cancer and having undergone surgery. A counterculture emerged to counteract the logic of productivity, indicating that caring as a worthy end in itself may be underestimated in protocol-driven care. Prolonging hospitalization largely depends on clinical judgment. Purpose: The aim of this paper is to develop a preliminary theory that explores in depth into understanding the experiences of women who have suffered a spontaneous perinatal loss during any trimester of their pregnancy regarding their emotional response to this loss. Design: A grounded theory approach was used, and 25 in‐depth interviews were conducted with Spanish women who suffered a spontaneous perinatal loss. Methods: Theoretical sampling and constant comparative analysis were used to reach theoretical saturation. EQUATOR guidelines were followed, using the COREQ checklist. Results: The "Perinatal loss, a devastating cyclone," a situation‐specific nursing theory, explains the process that a woman experiences when she loses her baby at any stage of pregnancy, drawing an analogy with tropical cyclones as natural disasters that destroy everything in their path. This situation‐specific theory includes three dimensions, explaining the phases identified in the perinatal loss process (phase prior to impact [before the perinatal loss], impact phase [diagnostic moment], emergency phase [hospital care], relief or honeymoon phase [return home], disillusionment or stock‐taking phase [after the first postloss days at home], reconstruction and recovery phase [grief construction process] and consequences [with an eye to the future]). Three intervention areas were described around the perinatal loss process: "rescue area" (partner, grandparents, and siblings of the deceased baby), "relief area" (healthcare professionals), and "base camp" (society). Conclusion: The situation‐specific nursing theory "Perinatal loss, a devastating cyclone" is the final product of a grounded theory study that provided an in‐depth analysis of women's experiences when they suffer a spontaneous perinatal loss at any point in their pregnancy. Objective: This study was conducted as a randomized controlled trial to evaluate the technology‐based parent school program. Design: The study was conducted in the well‐child care outpatient clinic of a hospital in Turkey. Data were collected between October 31, 2022 and February 17, 2023. The parent school was prepared based on Meleis' transition theory. Sample: Forty‐eight parents participated in the study. Parents in the intervention group participated in a 10‐week parent school program (five website modules, five online interactive group trainings, and counseling). Measures: Data were collected before the program, after the program, and 1 month after the program. Results: There were increases in the mean scores of the "Parent Skill Assessment Form" and "Skills Assessment Form for the Toddler Development" items in the intervention group compared to the control group. The difference between the groups in the mean scores of the Self‐Efficacy for Parenting Task Index Toddler Scale (1–3 years) was not statistically significant. However, the difference between the times was statistically significant. Conclusion: It was concluded that the technology‐based parent school training program could guide parents with children aged 1–3 years on child‐rearing. Simulation-based education is an evidence-based strategy to address learning and evaluation of outcomes in the updated American Association of Colleges of Nursing Essentials. Currently, there is a dearth of rigorous research on nurse practitioner education simulation. Studies on the topic often neglect a sound theoretical or conceptual framework beyond the National League of Nursing Jeffries Simulation Theory. This article aims to explore and distinguish the implementation of various theories and frameworks to determine how these elements can be stand-alone or used in combination to explore simulation-based experience competency outcomes. Specific recommendations for simulation research are (a) to include learning theories, (b) level learning and track competency progression using a framework, and (c) use a framework for measuring outcomes. Simulation science for nurse practitioner education can be advanced through united and consistent use of established theories and frameworks. The evolution of the role of the Professional Nurse Coach (NC) in recent years has been an empowering and innovative model for health and wellness for individuals, groups, communities, and populations. The relationships, requirements, and responsibilities of NC supervision to date, however, have not been fully examined. The aim of NC supervision is to provide feedback on the coaching process, and confidently guide the new NC to utilize creative problem-solving techniques and interventions. Themes emerge in supervision that can help expand competence and skills of coaching. Additionally, knowledge gaps may become apparent that would require further exploration or education. Articles on clinical supervision within the confines of nursing and other related disciplines do not highlight the challenges, responsibilities, or contractual obligations of the NC-Supervisor relationship. Without clear guidelines and identifiable themes within the supervisory experience, there are inconsistent parameters and confusion around supervision. This article will address the need for a consensus of a competency framework for NC clinical supervision and recommend a baseline strategy for guideline development. The study is a collection of lessons learned from people who have personally dealt with COVID-19, particularly the so-called mild-to-moderate cases that resolved themselves when they were left alone. Experiences of people following a clinical COVID-19 diagnosis and self- care treatments is closely tied to Self-Care Nursing Theory which focuses on a person's capacity for self-care. Qualitative methodology is utilized to understand the irrational sensations, conceptions, and beliefs of the Covid-19 survivors. Striving to completely appreciated the phenomenon by discussing the individuals' lived experiences. Questionnaire- guided interview study of 10 people aged 18 and up who lived in Tarlac City and had positive COVID-19 or antibody tests were chosen using purposive sampling. People more likely to get COVID-19 from members of their own home or family, according to the study. The respondents also recounted a wide spectrum of symptoms that they encountered during their sickness. Most study participants believed that recovery time was longer than the commonly accepted two-week period, which is a significant finding. According to the findings of this study, a four-week recuperation period is normally required. 60% of participants reported being subjected to COVID-19 stigma, such as avoidance by others after they had recovered and downplaying of their sickness or COVID-19 experience by others. Individuals then recounted their COVID-19 experiences to inform and motivate the public, particularly those who have not yet infected the coronavirus. According to the findings of this study, the road to rehabilitation for self-care patients in isolation may be challenging and slow for certain people. As a result, it is recommended that a policy be established to promote and encourage the establishment of an intervention program that supports and encourages holistic rehabilitation and will take care of the patients' physical and psychological well-being as they advance through the self-care phase of their recovery. Background: The belief in the evil eye is defined as the power to cause harm through 'negative energy' obtained through a glance. The practice of "medicine of the evil eye or sa mexina de s'ogu" by the "feminas e ominis de mexina" (healers) is so deeply rooted in the Sardinian culture that it influences health practices. Transcultural nursing, conceptualised by Madeleine Leininger, emphasises the importance of providing health care that takes into account patients' cultural beliefs, practices and values. This study aims to explore, from the perspective of Madeleine Leininger's transcultural nursing theory, the perception of the "feminas e ominis de mexina" practising "sa mexina de s'ogu", in order to promote and raise awareness among health professionals of the importance of patients' beliefs and cultures. Methods: A qualitative phenomenological study was conducted. Data were collected using semi-structured face-to-face interviews. The interviews were transcribed, read thoroughly, and analysed. Results: Fourteen healers were interviewed. Six main themes were extracted: (1) figure of the healer in its social context; (2) dynamics and methodology related to rituals; (3) effects of the Evil Eye; (4) ritual demand; (5) effectiveness of the ritual; and (6) comparison between the ancient and modern world. Conclusions: These findings suggest that healers act as central pillars in the connection between traditional medicine and religious practices. In response to the results obtained, it is essential to train healthcare personnel in transcultural nursing in order to provide care that is respectful and in harmony with the individual's beliefs, promoting their comfort and well-being, and their health outcomes. The health of breast cancer survivors is a global concern. It is crucial to adopt a holistic approach when understanding their journey from illness to wellness in order to ensure that the transition is as smooth as possible. This study focused on the experiences of Muslim women who had overcome breast cancer and were adapting to life post-treatment. Snowball sampling was used to select the participants for this qualitative study. Fifteen women who had successfully completed breast cancer treatment and been declared cancer-free were interviewed. These interviews were semi-structured, using open-ended questions to explore their experiences in-depth. The interviews were conducted by phone, and the data were analyzed using qualitative content analysis. The study identified four main themes, nine subthemes, and 41 codes. The main themes were as follows: (a) a life changed by cancer and the difficulties encountered; (b) transition from active treatment to treatment-free living; (c) coping mechanisms; and (d) future hopes and expectations. The findings highlighted the survivors' desire to move past their experience of cancer and normalize their lives, as well as emphasizing their need for support. The participants shared detailed accounts of their journey, the obstacles they encountered during this transition, and the critical role of religion and spirituality in overcoming these challenges. Understanding and effectively managing the experiences of women after breast cancer treatment is vital not only for improving survival rates but also for facilitating their healing process. This article describes the application of transition theory to assist a family with an infant with congenital complex gastroschisis. The nursing period, from March 3, 2023 to May 9, 2023, encompassed care from hospitalization to discharge. The author employed transition theory as a guide and used physical assessments, observations, and interviews for data collection as well as behavioral processes records. The primary nursing problem was identified as "preparation for family operation process enhancement/child's congenital disease and complex care needs, and the family's response to the challenges of the disease and care adaptation." The three phases of nursing care were summarized as: (1) the family adjustment to uncertainty, (2) undertaking caregiving roles and responsibilities, and (3) role development and family reconnection. The author established specific goals for each phase and provided corresponding interventions for the family. In the first phase, the author guided the family in expressing their concerns, and offered personalized health education information as well as psychological support to help them understand the progression of their child's disease and alleviate related anxiety and confusion. In the second phase, the author offered sleep guidance and customized home care schedules to support coping skill development and role functioning. In the third phase, the family was encouraged to explore the meaning of life while accompanying their child's growth in order to achieve spiritual growth and deepen the reconnection within the family. Ultimately, the family strengthened their confidence and capabilities in caregiving and embraced optimism and expectations for the future, enabling them to adapt smoothly to life after their child's return home. When families are confronted with their child's diagnosis with a congenital disease, they often find themselves in a state of self-doubt and faced with continuous challenges. Nurses may employ transition theory throughout the nursing process to better understand and address the evolving needs of both children and their families during the transition phase. Furthermore, transition theory may be applied to help nurses better assess, plan, and care for their patients, which can enhance the capabilities of families and facilitate their successful navigation through the challenging transition journey. This article describes the caring experience of a male patient with oral cancer who was admitted to the intensive care unit due to massive bleeding after endotracheal tube placement. The care period was from May 7th to May 10th, 2022. Data was collected through communication via writing, observation, physical assessment, and medical record review. The patient's health problems were identified as ineffective airway clearance, anxiety, and sleep disturbance by using Kolcaba's Theory of Comfort as an evaluation framework. Chest physiotherapy, pulmonary rehabilitation exercises, and teaching of deep breathing and coughing were provided to improve respiratory clearance function. In addition, music therapy and adjustment of the sleep environment were provided to improve the patient's overall comfort. Finally, the patient's extubation was successful and they were transfer out of the ICU. We suggested that the Theory of Comfort can be used more extensively as an assessment tool in the future to evaluate the physiological, psychological, social-cultural, and environmental factors that affect patients and promote a balance and comfort in their physical and mental health. Objective: This article describes the development of the rural community-based participatory design framework to guide healthcare design teams in their integration of rural community and clinical voice during the planning, design, and construction of a healthcare facility. Background: Rural communities are facing an alarming rate of healthcare facility closures, provider shortages, and dwindling resources, which are negatively impacting population health outcomes. A prioritized focus on rural care access and delivery requires design teams to have a deeper understanding of the contextual considerations necessary for a successful healthcare facility project, made possible through engagement and partnership with rural dwelling community members and healthcare teams. Method: The rural community participatory design framework is adapted from the rural participatory research model, selected due to its capture of key concepts and characteristics of rural communities. Underpinning theories included rural nursing theory and theory of the built environment. Results: The framework encompasses healthcare facility project phases, key translational concepts, and common traits across rural communities and cultures. As a middle-range theoretical framework, it is being tested in a current healthcare project with a Critical Access Hospital in Montana to facilitate design team and stakeholder collaboration. Conclusion: The rural community participatory design framework may be utilized by design teams as a means of familiarization with rural cultures, norms, values, and critical needs, which relate to meaningful design. Transcultural nursing is a discipline that emphasizes culturally competent care for diverse populations, recognizing the influence of culture on health beliefs, values, practices, and outcomes. It requires nurses to respect cultural differences and similarities, but faces challenges in curriculum design, faculty development, and student assessment. This paper explores transcultural nursing education’s current state and future directions, addressing the American Association of Colleges of Nursing essentials for integrating cultural content into nursing curricula, reviewing Madeleine Leininger’s transcultural nursing theory, diversity, equity, and inclusion concepts, and discussing the main challenges of transcultural nursing education, including lack of student diversity, training, and resources. Strategies to overcome these challenges include interprofessional collaboration, cultural immersion, and evidence-based practice. Neuropalliative care developed to address the needs of patients living with life‐limiting neurologic disease. One critical consideration is that disease‐related changes to cognition, communication, and function challenge illness experiences and care practices. We conducted an ethnography to understand neuropalliative care as a phenomenon; how it was experienced, provided, conceptualized. Personhood served as our conceptual framework; with its long philosophical history and important place in nursing theory, we examined the extent to which it captured neuropalliative experiences and concerns. Personhood contextualized complex losses, aligning the impact of functional and relational changes. Cognition, communication, and functional alterations stretched conceptions of personhood, insinuating it can be relational, fluid, adaptive. Although normative conceptions of personhood guided research and decision‐making, ethical considerations suggested personhood could be transformed, remade. We consider the implications of our findings through three themes. First, we examine how literature on illness experience fails to integrate the realities of people living with and dying from neurologic disease; we counter this by interrogating the concept of experience. Second, we turn to Ricoeur's work on recognition to illuminate relational conceptions of personhood to inform care practices. Strategies based on performance measurement and feedback are commonly used to support quality improvement among nurses. These strategies require practice change, which, for nurses, rely to a large extent on their capacity to coordinate with each other effectively. However, the levers for coordinated action are difficult to mobilize. This discussion paper offers a theoretical reflection on the challenges related to coordinating nurses' actions in the context of practice changes initiated by performance measurement and feedback strategies. We explore how Jürgen Habermas' theory of Communicative Action may shed light on the issues underlying nurses' collective actions and self‐determination in practice change and the implications for the design of strategies based on performance measurement and feedback. Based on this theory, we propose differences between communicative and functional coordination according to the nature of the actions and the purposes involved. The domains of action underlying these coordination processes, which Habermas referred to as the lifeworld and the system, are then used to draw a parallel with aspects of nursing practice. Over two decades have passed since Im and Meleis proposed "gender‐sensitive theories" as a category of nursing theories in 2001. Since then, the global conditions of women and minoritized identities across the various spectra of sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, and sexual characteristics (SOGIESC) have changed. Moreover, feminist theorizing has evolved, prompting the need to update how nurses theorize and research the interactions of gender and health in their practice. This discursive essay aims to (1) provide a summary of Im and Meleis' characterization and guidelines in the development of gender‐sensitive theories in nursing and present exemplars that use these guidelines; (2) assess the gender‐sensitive nursing theory guidelines in terms of gender‐responsiveness; and (3) expand the transformative potential of gender‐sensitive theorizing in nursing by proposing Diverse SOGIESC‐Transformative Theories. Diverse SOGIESC‐Transformative Theories include three additional aspects to enhance the transformative potential of gender‐responsive theorizing in nursing: inclusion of diverse SOGIESC, elaboration of intersectionality, and consideration of men and masculinities. Psychedelic therapies intentionally combine a caring/healing environment, psychotherapy, and psychedelic medicine as a powerful means of treating intractable conditions of depression and posttraumatic stress disorder. This article utilizes the nursing theory of human caring science, as articulated by Jean Watson, to describe the essential and fundamental human caring qualities in psychedelic therapy. By mapping these qualities onto the traits of a psychedelic therapist, articulated by Janis Phelps and illustrating them with qualitative, exemplar data from a psilocybin assisted therapy study, we have created a nursing-informed philosophical theoretical framework with which to begin to examine questions related to trust enhancement between patient and therapist, therapeutic communication of openness to patient experiences, mutual learning between therapist and patient, the influence spiritual or psychedelic practices of the therapist on outcomes, optimizing therapeutic healing environments, and care of the physical body during psychedelic therapy sessions. Aim: Patients' death or adverse events appear to be associated with poor healthcare decision‐making. This might be due to an inability to have an adequate representation of the problem or of the connections among problem‐related elements. Changing how a problem is formulated can reduce biases in clinical reasoning. The purpose of this article is to explore the possible contributions of psychoneuroendocrinoimmunology (PNEI) and psychology of reasoning and decision‐making (PRDM) to support a new nursing theoretical frame. Design: Discursive paper. Method: This article discusses the main assumptions about nursing and nurses' ability to face patient's problems, suggesting a new approach that integrates knowledge from PNEI and PRDM. While PNEI explains the complexity of systems, highlighting the importance of systems connections in affecting health, PRDM underlines the importance of the informative context in creating a mental representation of the problem. Furthermore, PRDM suggests the need to pay attention to information that is not immediately explicit and its connections. Conclusion: Nursing recognizes the patient–nurse relationship as the axiom that governs care. The integration of PNEI and PRDM in nursing theoretics allows the expansion of the axiom by providing essential elements to read a new type of relationship: the relationship among information. PNEI explains the relationships between biological systems and the psyche and between the whole individual and the environment; PRDM provides tools for the nurse's analytical thinking system to correctly process information and its connections. Impact on Nursing Practice: A theoretical renewal is mandatory to improve nursing reasoning and nursing priority identification. Integrating PNEI and PRDM into nursing theoretics will modify the way professionals approach patients, reducing cognitive biases and medical errors.
