People use natural language to express their thoughts and wishes. As robots reside in various human environments, such as homes, offices, and hospitals, the need for human–robot communication is increasing. One of the best ways to achieve this communication is the use of natural languages. Natural language processing (NLP) is the most important approach enabling robots to understand natural languages and improve human–robot interaction. Also, due to this need, the amount of research on NLP has increased considerably in recent years. In this study, commands were given to a multiple-mobile-robot system using the Turkish natural language, and the robots were required to fulfill these orders. Turkish is classified as an agglutinative language. In agglutinative languages, words combine different morphemes, each carrying a specific meaning, to create complex words. Turkish exhibits this characteristic by adding various suffixes to a root or base form to convey grammatical relationships, tense, aspect, mood, and other semantic nuances. Since the Turkish language has an agglutinative structure, it is very difficult to decode its sentence structure in a way that robots can understand. Parsing of a given command, path planning, path tracking, and formation control were carried out. In the path-planning phase, the A* algorithm was used to find the optimal path, and a PID controller was used to follow the generated path with minimum error. A leader–follower approach was used to control multiple robots. A platoon formation was chosen as the multi-robot formation. The proposed method was validated on a known map containing obstacles, demonstrating the system’s ability to navigate the robots to the desired locations while maintaining the specified formation. This study used Turtlebot3 robots within the Gazebo simulation environment, providing a controlled and replicable setting for comprehensive experimentation. The results affirm the feasibility and effectiveness of employing NLP techniques for the formation control of multiple mobile robots, offering a robust and effective method for further research and development on human–robot interaction.

The number of social media users has increased significantly as internet access and internet usage has grown all over the world. As it is the case in any other field, raw data collected from social media platforms are now being transformed into information. Millions of pieces of content are posted every day on platforms such as Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram. Moreover, the ability to extract meaningful information from such content has become an important field of research. This study reports a system for sentiment analysis, based on the data made available on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube along with RSS data. Logistic Regression, Random Forest and deep learning algorithm such as Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) are used to develop the classification model used in the system built as part of this study. Dataset is a new dataset that included data collected from Twitter, used was created and labeled by us. It was found that LSTM model provided the highest accuracy among the models generated using the training dataset. The final version of the model was tested on five different social media platforms and results are communicated.

With the advancements in educational technologies, the use of robots in education is becoming increasingly widespread. Around the world, robotic activities and educational programs are being organized to enhance students' cognitive and social skills. However, unfortunately, robot-assisted educational studies and applications for students requiring special education are limited. This research aims to present a humanoid robot-assisted learning environment for children with Down syndrome. In this study, an original dataset for children with Down syndrome has been generated using Turkish natural language processing techniques. This dataset includes special scenarios and a question-answer dataset to assist in improving the cognitive and social skills of the children. The NAO humanoid robot, part of the inventory of Iskenderun Technical University, is prepared to interact with children and use this special dataset. This unique method and dataset aim to create a reciprocal chat environment with children with Down syndrome and improve their focus, attention, concentration, and communication skills. This is an important step as an example of Turkish humanoid robot-assisted education applications in the literature. The next stages of our research will involve using this unique method and dataset with more children with Down syndrome and examining its impacts. This study, which is expected to be an important educational material in terms of improving the communication skills of children who need special education, carries national importance due to being in Turkish and will make significant contributions to special education in our country. The amount of data produced significantly increased with the development of Internet technologies. Accordingly, the importance of natural language processing studies increased, and this topic became one of the most studied artificial intelligence subjects. Even though it is a popular topic that is widely studied on, not enough studies have been conducted on the Turkish language. Even the studies conducted in Turkey are primarily on English and other natural languages instead of Turkish. The lack of a Turkish dataset is the most crucial reason for the lack of studies. Therefore, to create a solution, user reviews on e-commerce websites were collected and labelled reviews as positive, negative and neutral, and a new and unique dataset consisting of 150,000 reviews was created. This dataset was named TRSAv1, which was publicly shared with the researchers will contribute to the Turkish natural language processing studies; however, the effect of different word representation methods on algorithm performance was examined in detail, and the results were compared. In this paper, a contrastive learning approach for morphological disambiguation (MD) using large language models (LLMs) is presented. A contrastive loss function is introduced for training the approach, which reduces the distance between the correct analysis and contextual embeddings while maintaining a margin between correct and incorrect embeddings. One of the aims of the paper is to analyze the effects of fine-tuning an LLM on MD in morphologically complex languages (MCLs) with special reference to low-resource languages such as Kazakh, as well as Turkish. Another goal of the paper is to consider various distance measures for this contrastive loss function, aiming to achieve better results when performing disambiguation by computing the distance between the context and the analysis embeddings. The existing approaches for morphological disambiguation, such as HMM-based and feature-engineering approaches, have limitations in modeling long-term dependencies and in the case of large, sparse tagsets. These challenges are mitigated in the proposed approach by leveraging LLMs, thus achieving better accuracy in handling the cases of ambiguity and OOV tokens without the need to rely on other features. Experiments were conducted on three datasets for two MCLs, Kazakh and Turkish—the former is a typical low-resource language.
