The article features the Polish method of paper cutting called wycinanki. It claims that the Polish sheep-herders employed cuttings of bark and leather as decorations for their walls and furniture. The introduction of special papers in Poland after World War I, however, resulted in the creation of more delicate and elaborate designs, replacing bark and leather. It also presents a step-by-step method of making paper cuttings.
