The article discusses the importance of the size of teaching load in the quality of service which a teacher can render. A feeling of equity and justice in the teaching loads which are assigned to members of the faculty is considered to be an important factor in the maintenance of high morale among the staff. Some of the factors considered important in determining teaching loads are the total number of classes or hours taught, the number of different preparations, the size of classes, the amount of time spent in laboratory, and the amount of counseling and other related duties which the teacher performs.
