In this article the author some points which he would take if becomes the U.S. President. Some 68 million Americans camp, fish or hike each year in National Forests. Yet, when private lands surround these public preserves, people have been assessed entrance fees as high as $25 to enter their own domain. The government has authority to prevent this, and it should be used. More than 1.5 million acres in Colorado alone are dominated by private interests, and similar situations exist in other Western states.
