Abstract

In the course of deep weathering of a biotite gneiss, biotite is transformed into mixed-layer biotite-vermiculite hydrobiotite. Later biotite-vermiculite is transformed into biotite-chlorite under the action of hydrothermal solutions at the stage of epigenesis. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
