The article reports that main focus of the symposium was environmental policy and political science fields. More political scientists are giving serious attention to problems arising from the spreading and worsening environmental crisis. The concern of those eminent life scientists who perceive in the present accelerative deterioration of physical habitat a threat as ominous as the huge and ever enlarging inventories of nuclear weapons. Plenty of research money and time-consuming effort have been devoted to the latter, but remarkably little thus far to the former.
