24. A LONG-RUN ECONOMIC GROWTH MODEL FOR DEVELOPING COUNTRIES**This paper represents a revision and condensation of the author's 1967 doctoral dissertation at the University of Wisconsin. Professors Robert E. Baldwin and Arthur S. Goldberger contributed importantly to the study through their continued suggestions for improvements. Professor Allen C. Kelley is thanked for helpful comments on an earlier draft, while Professor Charles C. Holt called attention to an omission that led to reestimation of the model. Comments by Professors Albert Fishlow, Lovell Jarvis, and Lawrence R. Klein on later drafts are also gratefully acknowledged. The University of Wisconsin Research Committee provided the computer time for the initial estimation.
