The article presents titles and abstracts of papers published in the January 1920 issue of the journal "Annals of the Association of American Geographers." The 'Southern Indiana,' includes the unglaciated portion of the state, the areas of Pre-wisconsin drift on each side of the unglaciated tract, and the margin of the area of Wisconsin drift border has been largely determined by geologic structure. In the title 'The Geographic Factors in the Distribution of Animals, with particular reference to the distribution of the land Reptiles of the Davis Mountains Region, Texas,' the distribution of the land reptiles of the Davis Mountains Region, Texas, shows that the zonal distribution is less than would be expected on the life-zone theory and that there is evidence that other geographic factors than climate are to be recognized.

This paper describes cultural changes which have occurred since pioneer days in a rural, east Wisconsin German ethnic island. The social process is considered in terms of cultural history, geography, mobility, and enmeshment of the area in the dominant American culture. To determine the nature and degree of changes in ethnic values and attitudes, attention is focused on farming methods, family functions, and cultural conflict. The area has succeeded in making easy adjustments to the American situation and has remained a stable society largely for the following reasons: a traditional pattern of a diversified agriculture, coupled with a willingness to experiment and to conserve soil fertility, a climate and soil suited to this type of farming, acceptance of dairying to assure a cash income, a unique local outlet for excess farm produce, familism, settlement in a large compact group, and contact with an urban culture quite similar to its own. In this article, the application of physiography and geography to public business is illustrated by many features of the boundary suit between the States of Michigan and Wisconsin which was acted upon by the Supreme Court of the United States in 1926. The case demonstrates how lawyers, geographers, engineers, legislators, soldiers, Indian guides and pilots and members of other occupations and professions can work together. It shows some of the simple uses of maps. It reveals the elementary nature of what constitutes material evidence in the highest judicial body.

The article presents information on the economic aspects of the glaciation of Wisconsin. After making the thoroughgoing comparisons which were made, the results had indicated that the glaciation of Wisconsin had proved to be an injury to the State, they would have been recorded just as willingly as they have been with the present outcome. In such a series of comparisons, there is only one way in which the glaciated area can always appear to be agriculturally superior, and that is by actually being superior.
