Abstract
The article offers news briefs on science and progress. According to a physician from Edinburgh, Scotland, being fat is an antidote to all acute mental diseases. A chemical method of ventilation which can be applicable to underground railways has been developed in London, England. A process has been created by a Hungarian chemist by which a paper is painted with several solutions including gelatine.
