This article presents information on a Jewish poetry-folk songs program titled "An Evening of Yid- dish Poetry and Folk Music" held in the Central Park, New York. One's feeling in the program was that one doesn't have to be Jewish to enjoy it. The foibles and folk wisdom of a Sholom Aleichem, translate with ease to all conditions and climes. The material partakes of an irreducible human capacity for self-jesting, basic pride and rapport among one's fellows that goes beyond national or ethnic barriers.
