The article focuses on resonance particles which is described as particles that decay even more quickly compared to the 32 fundamental particles. The fundamental particles decay in about a ten-billionth of a second while resonance particles decay in about the time it takes for light to move a distance equal to a few diameters of an atomic nucleus or a measure of hundred-thousandths of a billion-billionth of a second. The first resonance particle experiment was performed by the bubble-chamber group at the Lawrence Radiation Laboratory in 1960 in California.
