The author offers insights on science fiction. There is a slight a margin between science-fiction and fantasy but the author considers a story as science fiction if it rests on pure applied science. There are many views regarding science fiction, some says that it is a representation of man's highest earnings while others sees it as a fashionable way of marketing wish fulfillment in fantasy. According to the author, most of the major propositions about science fiction set forth by experts in various fields has nothing really new to say on the subject except poet Rosalie Moore who suggests that science fiction is a revolt against the distrust of fantasy in "mainstream" American prose fiction.
