The article relates the experience of writer Al Hirshberg in writing a book for Boston baseball player Ken Harrelson. Harrelson failed to show up during his first interview appointment with Hirshberg. But when Hirshberg finally had the interview, the writer described Harrelson as great, who would talk for hours. In January 1969, Hirshberg suffered a heart attack, and his work was postponed until March. In only 6 weeks, Hirshberg finished the book, which will be published by Viking Press.
