Abstract

The article focuses on a research on the use of Acmed in acne. It was designed to compare Acmed Acne Lotion with 5% Lotio Alba, to which 1.0 % chlorhexidine had been added, in the treatment of acne vulgaris. The double blind method was used. Thirty-six patients began the trial, and thirty-one completed it. Of these, thirteen were males, and eighteen were females. The age range was 12 years to 22 years. The average age was 17 years. The result suggested that the Acmed Acne Lotion compares favourably with the Lotio Alba in the small number of acne patients examined in this trial.
