The article focuses on the use of poisons and toxic agents in wars which has been the most condemned method of warfare. Because of the growth of the chemical industry, the international laws made several attempts to ban chemical warfare. The Hague Conventions of 1899 and 1907 banned the use of poisoned bullets and projectiles that spread asphyxiating and poisonous gas. In spite of several conventions that ban the use of chemical warfare, such method was carried out between World War I and II by Italy in Ethiopia and by Japan in China.
