The article reports on the Conscription bill passed by the Canadian House to the Senate. Canadians were alarmed on the trouble over the question of conscription. The bill was divided along racial lines, in which the vote for conscription were almost English and the vote against were almost French. The bill's opposition has been some riotous demonstration in Montreal, and made threats that the attempt to enforce the draft could lead to arm resistance.
