The financial aspects of the Military Airlift Command are managed through the Airlift Service Industrial Fund. The system recoups all allowable costs of MAC from the Airlift user via a tariff to maintain a cost/revenue break-even. This analysis has been concerned with the cost the user has to absorb. When airlift demands generate less revenue than required to offset the cost of MAC's minimum flying training program, the tariff is increased. The purpose of this analysis was to determine to what extent the user should pay those costs and to suggest an alternate method that would more equitably distribute the costs.

This thesis outlines the growing financial commitment by organizations to provide data processing services. The supply and demand characteristics of computers and micro-economics, pricing and accounting theories are reviewed in relation to resource allocation. The impact of no charge-back and charge-back policies on computer utilization are discussed in depth. Pricing goals--cost recovery and/or resource allocation, pricing principles and pricing structure--length of costing period, selecting resources to be priced and quality of service are also investigated in depth. Suggested resource utilization measures are included in the Appendices. The advantages and disadvantages of average cost, flat rate and flexible pricing charge-back techniques are critically examined. Several examples of charge-back techniques used by commercial, educational and military organizations are presented. A time phased implementation plan of a charge-back system, beginning with average cost followed by flexible pricing, is recommended. A bibliography is included.

It is the Army's practice not to recognize corporate G and A expenses on cost-reimbursable contracts for Government-owned, contractor-operated (GOCO) ammunition plants. Since, in some cases, GOCO contractors may be absorbing corporate G and A expenses in their fees, the problem of allocating and absorbing G and A costs on GOCO contracts becomes entwined with profit policy. This study provides a comprehensive analysis of policy considerations in allocating corporate G and A expenses and establishing fees on GOCO contracts. Recommended methods for handling corporate G and A expenses and fee/profit on GOCO ammunition contracts are provided in the study.

The Springfield College Graduate Catalog, 1975-1977. The Graduate Catalog contains much of the same information that the Undergraduate, or regular, Catalog contains, except that the information is geared specifically for those pursuing a graduate degree. Included in the catalog is a college calendar, a list of administrators and officials in the college, a list of faculty members and a biography for each, a brief historical sketch of the school and graduate program in general, information on the admissions process, information on specific graduate level programs, and a listing of graduate specific classes.

Undergraduate Studies at Springfield College 1975-1976. The catalog includes an academic calendar and brief descriptions of the college and its philosophy. It includes information on student life, services, admissions requirements, expenses, options for financial aid, and degree requirements. It includes course descriptions, a listing of faculty, and an index. The opening letter to prospective students at the front of the catalog eliminates the open-ended questions present in the previous two catalogs. The description of residence halls announces that a third dormitory, International Hall, is now coeducational. For the first time, students were given the option to major in Black Studies, which is now part of the Arts and Sciences curriculum.

The 1975 Springfield College Summer School catalog contains a summer calendar, summer schedule, admission requirements, registration and fees and services. The bulk of the catalog lists and describes all classes offered during the summer including special courses and workshops., At this time, we do not have a summer catalog for 1974. It is not known whether one exists or not.

This is the International Young Men’s Christian Association College 1913-1914 Twenty-Ninth catalog with announcements for 1914-1915. This catalog shows a significant increase in amount of enrolled students than the previous catalog. Another addition to the catalog is an outline for several of the courses that will be taught. This study of the administration of the property taxes in Ellis County was made for the purpose of suggesting improvements to modernize the tax system. METHODS AND PROCEDURES EMPLOYED: All personal property statements filed in Ellis County for the year 1957 were read and examined. The real property assessment records were examined and a comparison of the assessed valuation of several real properties was made. The General Statutes of Kansas were also read and examined in regard to assessment and taxation. SUMMARY AND FINDINGS: A lot of property is escaping assessment and taxation each year. Much of the property that is being assessed is undervalued. The personal property statement does not contain enough space for adequate description of property being assessed. It was recommended that state legislation be passed to require individuals owning property to keep a record of the original cost of such property, that merchants be required to keep an accurate record of monthly inventories, and that the personal property statement be enlarged for a more adequate description of property. It was recommended that special booklets be published by the state prescribing valuations for items of personal property common to the average farm and household.

The problem of this study is to ascertain the services provided by state departments of education in the area of pupil transportation. This research, which was initiated during the school year of 1952 and finished in the fall of 1953, involved a study of pupil transportation services provided by the forty-eight state departments of education. The validity of this investigation is limited by the accuracy of the replies to the questionnaires.

In recent years progressive cities have recognized the potential value of purchasing surveys as a method of bettering their commercial facilities. The survey provides statistical information which may be used as a basis for developing new ideas or changing certain methods of merchandising in an effort to serve the consuming public better. Change resulting from such statistics may be minute but any change which comes from much varied information will justify the survey. In addition to the statistical tables provided, many incidental remarks of value come from conversation between interviewer and interviewee. These remarks often are direct suggestions. They provide first hand information from the consumer and in many instances may lead to better business methods.

This study is concerned with the selecting, purchasing, storage and distribution of instructional school supplies. This area of the administrative activity was chosen for investigation, in part, because of the writers own interest and partly on the suggestion of the Kansas Council for the Improvement of School Administration. The specific problem with which this investigation is concerned is to determine if there are some common practices of selecting , purchasing, storage and distribution of instructional school supplies in use by administrators in Kansas and to make a contribution toward the improvement of present practices of administration of school supplies.
