The occurrence of a true congenital diaphragmatic hernia of the right dome is sufficiently infrequent to warrant report of an additional case. REPORT OF A CASE T. H., a white boy, responded promptly to resuscitation and appeared perfectly normal at birth. At the end of the second week, the mother noticed the infant's respiratory rate seemed unusually rapid. He seemed normal in all other respects.When T. H. was 7 weeks old, he was seen by one of us. The respiratory rate was greatly accelerated, and there was a pronounced retraction of the interspaces with each respiration. The conformity of the thoracic cage was disturbed by a definite bulging of the right anterior portion of the wall of the chest. The nail beds of the fingers and toes had a slightly cyanotic appearance. The trachea was deviated to the left. The heart was percussible to the left anterior axillary line.

THE LITERATURE on lymphosarcoma of the duodenum, the jejunum and the intestinal tract in general is replete with numerous comprehensive surveys, in addition to reports of small groups of cases emphasizing various diagnostic problems and findings.1 Much of the material is valueless for statistical purposes because of the chaotic state of the nomenclature, inadequate reporting and poor follow-up observations on the patients. During the past eight years much attention has been focused on the epidemiology and other public health aspects of infectious hepatitis and homologous serum jaundice, especially the accidental transfer of these diseases through parenteral infusions and immunizations. However, little has been recorded concerning the possible risks to medical personnel who handle blood and its derivatives. At the time of this writing there have been only two reports1 devoted to this subject, and they have appeared in the literature in the last 14 months. It appears that hepatitis of this origin is much commoner than this scant attention reflects, for in Memphis, Tenn., there have been 16 such cases among medical personnel in four hospitals during the past three years.
