Es werden die Resultate des isothermen Zerfalles und der Reduktion vonstandardisiertem Ammoniumpolyuranat im Bereich von 285 bis 463° C (in Wasserstoff) wiedergegeben. Der Zerfall zu UO3 wurde schon bei einer Temp. unter 290° C festgestellt, diese Phase blieb jedoch darauf stabil bis 320° C. Zwischen 320° C und 380° C verlauft die Reduktion zu U3O8, uber 380° C aber zu UO2. Die Aktivierungsenergien bei der Reduktion von UO3 zu U3O8 und von U3O8 zu UO2 wurden berechnet, und zwar 32,2 kcal/g-mol und 41,7 kcal/g-mol. Die Ergebnisse konnen mit den Literaturangaben fur die Reduktion der einzelnen Phasen UO3 und U3O8 verglichen werden. Die beobachteten Unterschiede weisen auf den Einflus der Aktivitat der Praparate hin.

Rubidium hydrogen acetylenedicarboxylate, RbH(adc), in its α-form crystallises in the monoclinic system with a= 7·956, b= 12·307, c= 6·216 A, β= 105·6°, Z= 4 in space group l2/a, and is isomorphous with the analogous potassium salt. In its β-form, RbH(adc) is triclinic with a= 6·344, b= 7·18, c= 7·92 A, α= 96·9°, β= 106·1 A, γ= 116·4°, Z= 2 in P. Thus the crystal symmetries of the α- and β-forms are quite different. The crystal structure of the β-form has been determined and refined from two independent sets of diffractometer data, to R 5·9%(530 terms) and 12·5%(1640 terms), which yield concordant positional parameters. Despite the difference of crystal symmetry the structures found for the hydrogen-anion and for the environment of the cation are very similar to those in the α-form. The hydrogen bond, unsymmetrical in the β-form, which links the anions into infinite chains has O ⋯ O 2·464(8)A.Cell data are also given for some other acid salts of H2(adc).

Changes induced during the heating of hydrated NiTeO 3 in air and vacuum were investigated by means of DTA, TGA, chemical, X-ray and microprobe analysis. It was found that amorphous NiTeO 3 decomposes at 580–600°C to Ni 2 Te 3 O 8 . Monocrystals of Ni 2 Te 3 O 8 were isolated and found to be isomorphous with Zn 2 Te 3 O 8 . On heating in air, Ni 2 Te 3 O 8 oxidizes to Ni 3 TeO 6 and finally decomposes to NiO + TeO 2 .

Mit einem modifiziertenHoppler-Konsistometer verfolgten wir die Temperaturabhangigkeit der Stempelsenkung bei verschiedenen Zusammensetzungen in den Systemen NaNO3−KNO3 und ZnSO4−KCl. Die Ergebnisse zeigen, das man auf Grund solcher Messungen Aussagen uber die Form der Zustandsdiagramme machen kann. Auserdem erganzen die Messungen im System ZnSO4−KCl die Literaturangaben.

Phase equilibria in the systems USCaS, USSrS and USBaS have been investigated by X-ray diffraction, metallography and electron-probe microanalysis. New ternary sulphides, CaUS2, SrUS2 and BaUS2, which appeared in the corresponding systems, formed eutectic mixtures with primary solid solutions. Eutectic melting temperatures were determined for the systems USCaS and USSrS and tentative phase diagrams constructed. Detailed crystal structure analyses of CaUS2 and SrUS2 were carried out.

Die Resultate isothermer Messungen der Sorption der Stickoxyde an CaO bei verschiedenen Drucken (0,05 bis 1 Atm) und bei Temperaturen von 20 bis 650°C werden wiedergegeben. Im untersuchten Temperaturintervall verlauft die Reaktion unter Bildung von Calciumnitrat mit kleinen Nitritbeimengungen. In bezug auf die Kinetik der Bildung kann man das untersuchte Temperaturintervall fur 1 Atm Stickoxyde-Druck in drei Bereiche einteilen: unter 50°C, von 50 bis 400°C und von 450 bis 610°C. In den ersten zwei Bereichen findet die Reaktion im System fest—gasformig statt, wahrend im dritten die Gasphase mit einer mehr oder weniger ausgepragten Schmelze reagiert.

The title compound crystallises with Z= 4 in a cell with a= 7·954, b= 11·926, c= 5·918 A, β= 105·4°, space group I2/a. The structure, refined to R 6·0% for 796 reflexions, whose intensities were estimated visually, is of Type A2: hydrogen-anions, lying across two-fold axes, are linked into infinite chains by very short hydrogen bonds which also lie across two-fold axes [O ⋯ H ⋯ O 2·445(3)A].

Single crystals of SrEu 2 Fe 2 O 7 have been grown from a PbO flux. Cell dimensions and a structure model of the tetragonal crystals have been deviced.

Hydrazinium-Monofluorid N2H5F, das einzige noch unbekannte Hydrazinium-Monohalogenid, wurde im Nuklearinstitut “Jožef Stefan” synthetisiert. Farblose durchsichtige nadelformige Kristalle (Dichte 1,47 g/cm3) wurden uns fur eine Strukturanalyse zur Verfugung gestellt.
