The article shares how Rozella Switzer helped in improving the lives of several Nigerians who came to study at Central College and McPherson College in McPherson, Kansas. The African students were discriminated and treated negatively by the community until Switzer heard of their plight. After Switzer asked the manager of the C. R. Anthony Department Store to provide clothes to the students, other merchants also outfitted the Nigerians. Although Switzer's actions were criticized by other people, she continued to help the African students.
