The article focuses on the psychological problems associated A-bomb attack. Acute anxiety serves as a dominant reaction to the atomic explosions. The emotional excitement of some survivors from such attack reaches a level that there is a temporary loss of inhibitory control over primitive. In other cases, the acute emotional disturbance has taken the form of profound apathy and depression. Severe forms of emotional shock are to be expected among survivors who have experienced being knocked down, injured by fire and witnessing the death of a member of the immediate family.
