After describing some of the stratagems men use to camouflage age in order to survive better socially and emotionally, a new transoccipital incision that permits good peripheral antigravitational pull of all segments of the face is presented. Calibration of the extent of the operation for each patient is stressed. Such an operation may extend from the small pinch-pull incisions to the peripheral approach for radical rejuvenation. This paper deals with the latter procedure.

Reply to Goldberg The technique on rhytidectomy in men which appeared recently in the Archives is an easy procedure since it undermines in that neutral space between galea and periosteum. Thickness of the skin at the nape and the ample, easy undermining done will permit a uniform antigravitational pull which improves notoriously all wrinkle areas of both face and neck. If Dr. Sol Goldberg calls this a "too radical" procedure because it attacks the root of the problem, his semantics are correct—if on the contrary, he uses the term as a synonym of difficult—I can tell him that this depends on the skill and experience of the surgeon. Quite possibly, Dr. Goldberg neglected to read the footnotes of the illustrations, or failed to read the text itself which clearly indicated that there are two procedures: (1) designed for patients who require "a discreet improvement just to halt time" and (2)
