Abstract

A new R.C. active network synthesis procedure for realizing any voltage transfer function is presented. The configuration considered is the interconnection of an ideal voltage difference amplifier and R.C. sub-networks. It realizes any general voltage transfer function of any order and any complexity (including those which have positive real axis zeros). This method does not impose any restriction as do other procedures using finite gain amplifiers.
In this paper a new configuration is presented to realize any general transfer functions including those having zeros of transmission on the positive real axis, a feature which makes the method useful in the realization of delay and phase equalization functions. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Abstract

A new RC active network synthesis procedure for realizing a given open-circuit voltage transfer function is presented. The interconnection of an ideal voltage amplifier of gain greater than unity and two RC sub-networks in a grounded 2-port configuration is considered for this purpose. It is Shown that a general rational transfer function of any order can be realized by such a configuration, provided the transfer function does not have zeros on the positive real axis of the s plane. 27. Biflavones of some Cupressaceaeplants

Abstract

Two solvent systems, viz. toluene:pyridine:acetic acid (10:1:1) and toluene:DMF:acetic acid (10:1:1) have been found to be useful for the TLC study of biflavones in conifer extracts; these solvents have also been used for obtaining chromatographically pure biflavones and their methyl ethers by preparative TLC and “dry column” chromatography. Eight plants of the Cupressaceaefamily have been investigated for biflavones. Amentoflavone, cupressuflavone and hinokiflavone are found to co-occur in four Cupressusspecies although c. sempervirenscontain only amentoflavone and cupressuflavone. Biota orientalisis found to contain hinokiflavone, quercetin and myricetin. Cupressuflavone and amentoflavone are invariably components of the genus Cupressusand may serve as taxonomic markers.
