The article discusses the study which is aimed to determine the effects of cerebral lesions on intellectual function in Great Britain. The literature of the effects of psychological effects of brain injury is extensive and disconnected. The early reports of an association between loss of speech and the left hemisphere lesion has almost immediately suggested the possible link between language laterality and handedness. Lesions restricted to the left hemisphere have frequently results in psychological deficit which differs in some respect from that produced by a corresponding lesion in the right hemisphere.
