This article presents information on world politics. The second stage of the Great War, which was destined to complete the European wreck begun in the first stage, and to lead to the final collapse of western civilization, may be said to have opened in January, 1921. This stage may be roughly distinguished from the one which preceded it by the new and strange alignment of contending nations. Soviet Union was now the enemy to be destroyed. Germany, on the other hand, took Soviet Union's former place among the Allies.
