With the expanse of internet, web programmers have wide choice of web services available to them. A need arises for automatic discovery of required web services and construction of an appropriate sequence of invocation thereof. In this paper, we present a framework for automation of this task based on currently emerging technologies such as ontological knowledge bases, OWL, OWL-S, WSDL, Description Logic (DL), etc. Background-knowledge ontologies are created based on which semantic meanings of web services can be given through OWL-S. An agent employs OWL-S API to extract web service metadata, and applies a DL inference engine, called Racer, for reasoning with the metadata with respect to given background knowledge. Reasoning tasks performed by Racer include profile matchmaking, input/output subsumption testing, and preconditions/effects analysis, which are basic mechanisms for web services discovery and invocation planning. A prototype system has been implemented.

En este artículo se estudia el sistema de medios en lengua gallega a principios de 2016 desde las variables de tipo de medio, propiedad, difusión, contenido y desarrollo web, aportando datos sobre su realidad, evolución a lo largo de los años y transformación. Asimismo, se calcula el volumen económico y se investiga la penetración social o peso relativo de los medios, junto con las diferencias provinciales. Por último, se argumenta la posible correlación entre medios, idioma e ideología nacionalista gallega. La perspectiva de análisis es la comunidad lingüística. This article analyses the media system in the Galician language at the beginning of 2016 along the variables of media type, ownership, reach, content and web development, providing data about its reality, growth over the years and transformation. The economic volume of the media system is calculated as well as its social penetration or relative weight, taking into account differences among provinces. Finally, it’s argued a possible correlation among media, language and Galician nationalist ideology. The analysis is built around the linguistic community.

Although the course of events in the building of the orb-web have been carefully observed and described, for instance by Savory (1952), the sensing and executing mechanisms which serve the process remain subjects of speculation. It is clear that there are episodes which introduce and terminate phases of building (Koenig, 1951). There are evidences of imperatives stemming from the internal condition of the spider as well as signs of guidance by external circumstance. Some stimuli result from previous events in construction which have led to a particular array of threads in space; some follow progressive depletion of material in the silk glands. These stimuli interact with those provided by certain system conditions: at one level, the weight of the spider and the length of its legs, at another level the central program guiding construction.
