Deviant sexual behavior has often been portrayed as the consequence of the frustration of legitimate sexual outlets. Viewing male sex aggression as a deviant sexual response, one finds that, although these males are the sexually most successful, they also tend to be the sexually most dissatisfied. It is suggested that sexual satisfaction is largely a function of the nature of peer group associations rather than of a given quantity of sexual outlets. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The article presents a systematic investigation into the manifest content of dreams of convicted sex offenders. A high frequency of sexual content and uncamouglaged unlawful sex activity were observed in the subjects' dreams. A scoring manual was developed to quantitatively and systematically evaluate the hypothesis of this study. The hypothesis was drawn up from all inmates confined at the Correctional Institution at Graterford, Pennsylvania and had volunteered for therapy. The scoring system can identify sexual themes in their dreams. The researcher claimed that this scoring system used in this study is highly reliable. The study concluded that male sexual offenders show a greater incidence of sexual and sex crime dreams than do other convicts.

The article presents a study regarding fingerprints and criminal conviction. The study of skin patterns of the palms, fingers, soles and toes has been of interest to medical and genetic researchers because dermal ridges are in their complete form by the end of the fourth month of pregnancy. The fingerprint patterns and ridge counts for 75 sex criminals and 100 men convicted of violent but nonsexual crimes were contrasted with those of criminal control group. The criminal groups differed extensively from the control group with regard to their pattern frequencies.
