This review paper systematically synthesizes existing literature on knowledge sharing (KS) and knowledge transfer (KT) in the context of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the construction industry, updating previous research and making predictions about emerging issues. The comprehensive literature review employs three different bibliometric techniques: (1) textual analysis of keywords and abstracts to identify relevant research areas, (2) cocitation analysis of references to analyze the evolution of KS and KT in SMEs, and (3) bibliographic linkage analysis of documents to summarize the background and results. The resulting conceptual map outlines the historical development of KS and KT at individual, group, and organizational levels in the construction industry. The study emphasizes the critical significance of KS and KT for SMEs in this industry. It highlights the role of innovation and open innovation in facilitating the successful implementation of KS and KT. The analysis also reveals the need for enhanced knowledge management in SMEs through better data management, implementation of digital systems for internal management, identification of inefficiencies in KT in collaborative networks, and adjustment of knowledge management approaches to suit different cultural and geographic contexts. Finally, the paper suggests future trends in KS and KT, emphasizing the importance of collaboration, continuous learning, technological capabilities, and developing a suitable organizational culture and structure for open innovation in the construction industry. This article offers an innovative approach to KS and KT in SMEs and practical recommendations for improving knowledge management and innovation capacity in construction-related businesses. This paper investigates comprehensively the operational dynamics of a thermochemical heat storage (TCHS) reactor for low-temperature applications using polyaluminum sulfate and takes into consideration a developed simulation model with an experimentation validation. Significant concordances were found between the developed simulation model and the experimental results. Results reveal optimized conditions for the charging process using an electrical heater, with a heating temperature of 120°C at 10 K/min over 500 minutes. This achieves full material charging, with stabilized pressure drops at an equilibrium of 80 mbar, corresponding to a temperature of approximately 108°C, and yielding a thermal power of 950 W. An inlet vapor pressure of 18 mbar at 10°C for 5 hours is sufficient to completely discharge the bed, with pressure drops reaching around 30 mbar and a thermal power of 300 after reaction completion. Insights into conversion extents during both processes are provided, along with a remarkable thermal efficiency of 90% and a coefficient of performance (COP) of 97%, surpassing recommended theoretical values (50%). The study suggests further enhancing system performance through the design and implementation of a dedicated heat exchanger. The achievement of 75% of the targeted thermal power specification represents a significant milestone, offering valuable contributions towards the realization of sustainable technological advancements of both the reactor technology of TCHS and state-of-the-art thermal energy storage solutions. From the research, it is possible to infer further suggestions for enhancing this performance by designing and implementing a dedicated heat exchanger for both heat supply and retrieval mechanisms. A dedicated bus lane is designed to give priority to buses over private cars on the road. However, this approach might waste road traffic capacity when bus demand is low and private car demand is high. Thus, it is essential to utilize bus lanes more effectively. Previous work focuses on allowing private cars to use bus lanes which may cause bus delays. To strike a balance, some approaches involve mandating private cars to leave bus lanes and limiting the number of private cars entering bus lanes. However, these highly rely on transportation infrastructure and emerging technologies. Hence, we propose a simple method of a partially space‐shared bus lane, which allows private cars to merge into the bus lane at specific locations. Lane‐changing decision is modeled as a result of speed difference between adjacent lanes. Traffic flow is simulated by the LWR model in the Lagrangian coordinate system. Two scenarios are set up—dedicated bus lane and partially space‐shared bus lane—to evaluate the partially space‐shared system. The only optimization variable is the location that allows private cars to conduct lane‐changing. We use the genetic algorithms to optimize the system. Finally, simulation results show that the partially space‐shared bus lane reduces private‐car delays and total delays of the system. The buses would experience an increase of delays, inevitably. But the bus delay increase could be limited in a small range, which maintains the bus priority. In addition, a multiple lane‐changing position strategy is better than the single position one. This approach is suitable for traffic situations with low bus demand and high private car demand. In the context of the advancing construction engineering field in China, there has been a significant increase in the adoption of building information modeling (BIM) technology within engineering–procurement–construction (EPC) projects. This emerging technology is expected to significantly influence the decision‐making practices of professionals in the construction and engineering domain. Consequently, there is an urgent need for comprehensive research focused on construction management specifically pertaining to the effectiveness of construction developer management. This study examines seven representative EPC projects where BIM technology was implemented and it considers various factors that have the potential to influence project decision‐making while taking into account time and cost considerations. A comprehensive multidimensional evaluation method that combines the analytic hierarchy process (AHP) and the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method is introduced in this study. The results of this study emphasize that the efficiency enhancement strategies derived from the judgment indicator method demonstrate favorable practical outcomes. This research highlights the importance of a comprehensive evaluation method combining the AHP and the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method to enhance decision‐making efficiency for construction developer management staff. This study explores the adoption and societal implications of an emerging technology such as Chat Generative Pre‐Trained Transformer (ChatGPT) in higher education students. By utilizing a mixed‐method framework, this research combines Rogers' diffusion of innovation theory with sentiment analysis, offering an innovative methodological approach for examining technology adoption in higher educational settings. It explores five attributes—relative advantage, compatibility, ease of use, observability, and trialability—shaping students' behavioral intentions toward ChatGPT. Sentiment analysis offers qualitative depth, revealing emotional and perceptual aspects, and introduces a gender‐based perspective. The results suggest that five innovation attributes significantly impact the adoption rates and perceptions of ChatGPT, indicating its potential for transformative social change within the educational sector. Gen Zs viewed ChatGPT as innovative, compatible, and user‐friendly, enabling the independent pursuit of educational goals. Consequently, the benefits provided by ChatGPT in education motivate students to use the tool. Gender differences were observed in the prioritization of innovation attributes, with male students favoring compatibility, ease of use, and observability, while female students emphasized ease of use, compatibility, relative advantage, and trialability. The findings have implications for understanding how technological innovations such as ChatGPT could be strategically diffused across different societal segments, especially in the academic context where ethical considerations such as academic integrity are paramount. Under the influence of the COVID-19, great changes have taken place in China's economic structure and market subjects and college students are facing difficulties in employment. By carrying out collaborative innovation between schools and enterprises, cultivating high-quality talents to meet social needs has become an important way to solve difficulties. Based on the input-process-output principle, a performance evaluation index system for collaborative innovation is constructed, which includes 3 primary indicators and 22 secondary indicators. The weights of each indicator are determined using improved AHP. A mathematical model for evaluating the performance of school enterprise collaborative innovation is established using the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method. The evaluation value of the innovation and entrepreneurship education case project is 0.82, indicating that the overall operation is in good condition. The cooperation between schools and enterprises has created a favorable atmosphere and accumulated rich experience for carrying out innovation and entrepreneurship education. Good results have been achieved in talent cultivation and scientific and technological output, but there are also problems such as low conversion rates of scientific and technological achievements. Based on the evaluation results, the article proposes suggestions to improve the performance of collaborative innovation between schools and enterprises. The research results provide theoretical reference for the performance evaluation of school enterprise collaborative innovation and the practice of innovation and entrepreneurship education. In the process of changing tires, drivers require a suitable lifting device, namely, a jack, that can be inserted into a designated slot strategically positioned beneath the vehicle. Similarly, in workshops and maintenance facilities, jacks are essential for part replacements and maintenance. This research focuses on the design and analysis of extended handle pneumatic floor jacks specifically tailored for light-duty vehicles. The aim is to enhance effectiveness by enabling the repair of multiple vehicles simultaneously using a single compressor. The study utilizes ANSYS 2022R1 to assess the structural weaknesses of pneumatic airbags, aiming to explore technological advancements and develop an optimal airbag design capable of lifting light vehicles. Natural rubber is utilized as the airbag material, with thicknesses of 2.5 mm, 2.75 mm, and 3 mm. The study investigates three different airbag behaviors: von Mises stress, strain, and deformation in two directions. A pressure of 8.2 MPa is applied, and a weight of 4000 kg is imposed. The results indicate that the 2.5 mm and 2.75 mm thicknesses are unable to sustain the load and pressure, with the weakest area identified between the natural rubber and the metal cast iron that contacts the car's body. Overall, the research achieved its objectives, and the findings will be effectively applied to model the extended handle pneumatic floor jack, facilitating tire lifting for maintenance and tire changes. To keep pace with economic growth in an environment marked by globalization, competition, and the significant magnitude of market requirements, companies must be dynamic to adapt quickly to new demands. This dynamism must be achieved through frugal projects aimed at achieving better performance with fewer resources. In line with this vision, we have proposed a new frugal innovation approach to develop a new concept of machines to meet the requirements of Smart Automation, which is the main element of the transformation plan defined by our company as a strategy for the coming years. This strategy aligns with the direction set by Morocco for the second generation of the Industrial Acceleration Plan 2021–2025. This work serves to introduce the objectives of the second-generation Industrial Acceleration Plan in Morocco, describe a company transformation strategy with an emphasis on the Smart Automation component and its context, explain frugal innovation applications within our organization and their outcomes, and outline the project and frugal innovation approach perspectives in Morocco. The results demonstrate the effectiveness of the newly proposed and implemented concept of frugal innovation, illustrated in a cost reduction of 59.7% compared with the manual process, of less than 56.3% compared with the existing semi-automatic process, and of less than 36.8% compared with the fully automatic process and in the improvement of quality by a reduction in customer complaints of 72.7% and in the scrap rate percentage of 0.2%. This has been achieved by providing cost-effective solutions in our competitive automotive environment. These results reinforce the importance of the approach in its global application. Water-in-water (w/w) emulsions can mimic biological environments, and their stability is ensured by adding nanoparticles capable of adsorbing at liquid-liquid interfaces. To enhance the properties of w/w emulsions, there is a search for new sources of nanoparticles that are attractive for the food and biomedical fields. Thus, the present study investigated the use of sugarcane bagasse lignin (a cheap, nontoxic, and biodegradable polymer) as a source of nanoparticles for Pickering emulsions with maltodextrin (MD) and polyethylene glycol 6000 (PEG 6000). The nanoparticles were prepared from alkaline lignin (ALNP) and oxidized alkaline lignin (OLNP), and their application was performed using different dosages in the w/w systems (0%, 0.1%, 0.3%, 0.5%, and 1%, wt/wt). The nanoparticles presented different sizes, with OLNPs (327.8 nm) being smaller than ALNPs (689.8 nm). The systems with OLNPs showed better emulsification indices and smaller droplet sizes than systems with ALNPs. The concentration of nanoparticles and the volume of the dispersed phase influence the stability of the studied emulsion. The most promising stabilization results were obtained at a concentration of 1% wt/wt of OLNPs with an emulsification index of up to 63%. These results, combined with the extensive availability of functional groups in lignin, make this polymer a potential candidate for advanced studies of w/w emulsions. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
