Classification is a widely used supervised learning technique that enables models to discover the relationship between a set of features and a specified label using available data. Its applications span various fields such as engineering, telecommunication, astronomy, and medicine. In this paper, we propose a novel rule-based classifier called RUCIB (RUle-based Classifier Inspired by BRADO), which draws inspiration from the socio-inspired swarm intelligence algorithm known as BRADO. RUCIB introduces two key aspects: the ability to accommodate multiple values for features within a rule and the capability to explore all data features simultaneously. To evaluate the performance of RUCIB, we conducted experiments using ten databases sourced from the UCI machine learning database repository. In terms of classification accuracy, we compared RUCIB to ten well-known classifiers. Our results demonstrate that, on average, RUCIB outperforms Naive Bayes, SVM, PART, Hoeffding Tree, C4.5, ID3, Random Forest, CORER, CN2, and RACER by 9.32%, 8.97%, 7.58%, 7.4%, 7.34%, 7.34%, 7.22%, 5.06%, 5.01%, and 1.92%, respectively. The current prostate cancer (PCa) screen test, prostate-specific antigen (PSA), has a high sensitivity for PCa but low specificity for high-risk, clinically significant PCa (csPCa), resulting in overdiagnosis and overtreatment of non-csPCa. Early identification of csPCa while avoiding unnecessary biopsies in men with non-csPCa is challenging. We built an optimized machine learning platform (ClarityDX) and showed its utility in generating models predicting csPCa. Integrating the ClarityDX platform with blood-based biomarkers for clinically significant PCa and clinical biomarker data from a 3448-patient cohort, we developed a test to stratify patients' risk of csPCa; called ClarityDX Prostate. When predicting high risk cancer in the validation cohort, ClarityDX Prostate showed 95% sensitivity, 35% specificity, 54% positive predictive value, and 91% negative predictive value, at a ≥ 25% threshold. Using ClarityDX Prostate at this threshold could avoid up to 35% of unnecessary prostate biopsies. ClarityDX Prostate showed higher accuracy for predicting the risk of csPCa than PSA alone and the tested model-based risk calculators. The Möbius function μ (n) is known for containing limited information on the prime factorization of n. Its known algorithms, however, are all based on factorization and hence are exponentially slow on log n . Consequently, a faster algorithm of μ (n) could potentially lead to a fast algorithm of prime factorization which in turn would throw doubt upon the security of most public-key cryptosystems. This research introduces novel approaches to compute μ (n) using random forests and neural networks, harnessing the additive properties of μ (n) . The machine learning models are trained on a substantial dataset with 317,284 observations (80%), comprising five feature variables, including values of n within the range of 4 × 10 9 . We implement the Random Forest with Random Inputs (RFRI) and Feedforward Neural Network (FNN) architectures. The RFRI model achieves a predictive accuracy of 0.9493, a recall of 0.5865, and a precision of 0.6626. On the other hand, the FNN model attains a predictive accuracy of 0.7871, a recall of 0.9477, and a precision of 0.2784.
