Lignanoids are an active ingredient exerting powerful antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects in the treatment of many diseases. In order to improve the efficiency of the resource utilization of traditional Chinese medicine waste, Magnolia officinalis Rehder & E.H.Wilson residue (MOR) waste biomass was used as raw material in this study, and a series of deep eutectic solvents (ChUre, ChAce, ChPro, ChCit, ChOxa, ChMal, ChLac, ChLev, ChGly and ChEG) were selected to evaluate the extraction efficiency of lignanoids from MORs. The results showed that the best conditions for lignanoid extraction were a liquid–solid ratio of 40.50 mL/g, an HBD-HBA ratio of 2.06, a water percentage of 29.3%, an extract temperature of 337.65 K, and a time of 107 min. Under these conditions, the maximum lignanoid amount was 39.18 mg/g. In addition, the kinetics of the extraction process were investigated by mathematic modeling. In our antioxidant activity study, high antioxidant activity of the lignanoid extract was shown in scavenging four different types of free radicals (DPPH, ·OH, ABTS, and superoxide anions). At a concentration of 3 mg/mL, the total antioxidant capacity of the lignanoid extract was 1.795 U/mL, which was equal to 0.12 mg/mL of Vc solution. Furthermore, the antibacterial activity study found that the lignanoid extract exhibited good antibacterial effects against six tested pathogens. Among them, Staphylococcus aureus exerted the strongest antibacterial activity. Eventually, the correlation of the lignanoid extract with the biological activity and physicochemical properties of DESs is described using a heatmap, along with the evaluation of the in vitro hypoglycemic, in vitro hypolipidemic, immunomodulatory, and anti-inflammatory activity of the lignanoid extract. These findings can provide a theoretical foundation for the extraction of high-value components from waste biomass by deep eutectic solvents, as well as highlighting its specific significance in natural product development and utilization. China leads the world in freshwater pearl production, an industry in which the triangle sail mussel (Sinohyriopsis cumingii) plays a pivotal role. In this paper, we report a high-quality chromosome-level genome assembly of S. cumingii with a size of 2.90 Gb—the largest yet reported among bivalves—and 89.92% anchorage onto 19 linkage groups. The assembled genome has 37,696 protein-coding genes and 50.86% repeat elements. A comparative genomic analysis revealed expansions of 752 gene families, mostly associated with biomineralization, and 237 genes under strong positive selection. Notably, the fibrillin gene family exhibited gene family expansion and positive selection simultaneously, and it also exhibited multiple high expressions after mantle implantation by transcriptome analysis. Furthermore, RNA silencing and an in vitro calcium carbonate crystallization assay highlighted the pivotal role played by one fibrillin gene in calcium carbonate deposition and aragonite transformation. Background: Newly recruited nurses face multiple sources of stress and their coping styles need to be focused on to ensure good mental health. This study aimed to examine the relationship among mental health literacy, psychological capital and coping styles in newly recruited nurses. Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted in August and September 2022. A total of 315 newly recruited nurses were recruited in a tertiary hospital in Henan Province, central China, employing the convenience sampling method. The self-reported questionnaires were sent through a QR code, including the Mental Health Literacy Scale for Healthcare Students, Psychological Capital Questionnaire, and Simplified Coping Style Questionnaire. Pearson correlation analysis was used to evaluate the relationships among the variables. Mediation analysis was performed to identify the mediating effect of psychological capital on the relationship between mental health literacy and coping styles. Results: Positive coping showed a positive relationship with psychological capital and mental health literacy, while negative coping showed a negative relationship with psychological capital and mental health literacy. For positive coping, psychological capital was a partial mediator with an effect of 0.140, accounting for 62.8%. For negative coping, a full mediating effect was shown by psychological capital between mental health literacy and negative coping, with an indirect effect of -0.048. Conclusion: Psychological capital plays a partial and complete mediating role between mental health literacy and different coping styles among newly recruited nurses. Diversified training and personalized guidance in improving mental health literacy and increasing psychological capital simultaneously can be provided to newly recruited nurses continuously to adjust their coping styles. Identifying key causal genes is critical for unraveling the genetic basis of complex economic traits, yet it remains a formidable challenge. The advent of large-scale sequencing data and computational algorithms, such as transcriptome-wide association studies (TWASs), offers a promising avenue for identifying potential causal genes. In this study, we harnessed the power of TWAS to identify genes potentially responsible for milk production traits, including daily milk yield (MY), fat percentage (FP), and protein percentage (PP), within a cohort of 100 buffaloes. Our approach began by generating the genotype and expression profiles for these 100 buffaloes through whole-genome resequencing and RNA sequencing, respectively. Through comprehensive genome-wide association studies (GWAS), we pinpointed a total of seven and four single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) significantly associated with MY and FP traits, respectively. By using TWAS, we identified 55, 71, and 101 genes as significant signals for MY, FP, and PP traits, respectively. To delve deeper, we conducted protein–protein interaction (PPI) analysis, revealing the categorization of these genes into distinct PPI networks. Interestingly, several TWAS-identified genes within the PPI network played a vital role in milk performance. These findings open new avenues for identifying potentially causal genes underlying important traits, thereby offering invaluable insights for genomics and breeding in buffalo populations. The process of drug development is expensive and time-consuming. In contrast, drug repurposing can be introduced to clinical practice more quickly and at a reduced cost. Over the last decade, there has been a significant expansion of large biobanks that link genomic data to electronic health record data, public availability of various databases containing biological and clinical information and rapid development of novel methodologies and algorithms in integrating different sources of data. This review aims to provide a thorough summary of different strategies that utilize genomic data to seek drug-repositioning opportunities. We searched MEDLINE and EMBASE databases to identify eligible studies up until 1 May 2023, with a total of 102 studies finally included after two-step parallel screening. We summarized commonly used strategies for drug repurposing, including Mendelian randomization, multi-omic-based and network-based studies and illustrated each strategy with examples, as well as the data sources implemented. By leveraging existing knowledge and infrastructure to expedite the drug discovery process and reduce costs, drug repurposing potentially identifies new therapeutic uses for approved drugs in a more efficient and targeted manner. However, technical challenges when integrating different types of data and biased or incomplete understanding of drug interactions are important hindrances that cannot be disregarded in the pursuit of identifying novel therapeutic applications. Summary: Background and Aims: We aimed to define gender‐specific, optimal alanine aminotransferase (ALT) cut‐off values for the prediction of significant liver histological changes (SLHC) in Chinese patients with grey zone (GZ) chronic hepatitis B (CHB) and normal ALT. Methods: In a retrospective study, we included 1101 consecutive patients with GZ CHB and normal ALT assigned to training or internal validation cohorts. We included an independent cohort of 842 patients for external validation. We performed receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve, smoothed curve fitting, and threshold effect analyses to determine optimal ALT cut‐off values. Area under the curve (AUC) values were calculated to assess their predictive performance. Results: A proportion of 79.3% of patients with GZ CHB and normal ALT (≤40 U/L) had SLHC. ROC curve analysis initially identified optimal ALT cut‐off values of 29 U/L (male) and 22 U/L (female). After smoothed curve fitting and threshold effect analyses, new optimal cut‐off values were 27 U/L for males and 24 U/L for females. AUCs for these values were 0.836 (male) and 0.833 (female) in the internal validation cohort, and 0.849 (male) and 0.844 (female) in the external validation cohort. The accuracy and discriminative ability of the newly defined ALT cut‐off values were greater than those of the current recommendations. Conclusion: This study established novel optimal ALT cut‐off values for more precise prediction of SLHC among Chinese patients with GZ CHB and normal ALT levels. Background: Treating postherpetic neuralgia (PHN), which is characterized with a long‐lasting lancinating mechanical allodynia or hyperalgesia, is a big challenge as it is hard to achieve complete resolution. A synthetic triterpenoid, CDDO (2‐cyano‐3,12‐dioxoolean‐1,9‐dien‐28‐oic acid) can exert pleiotropic effects including anti‐inflammation and neuroprotective activities. Nevertheless, the antinociceptive effect of CDDO and its derivatives remains unknown. Resiniferatoxin (RTX) is easily feasible, and an RTX‐treated rodent model can mimic the PHN‐like symptoms. Therefore, RTX‐treated rats were used to serve as a PHN rats' model in the study to elucidate whether a synthetic triterpenoid, CDDO, can improve mechanical allodynia in RTX‐treated rats. Methods: The antinociceptive effects of CDDO were assessed by behavioral tests, western blotting, and immunohistochemistry. Paw withdrawal mechanical threshold was determined using calibrated forceps. Results: Administration of RTX led to mechanical allodynia, neuronal cell death, and glial cell activation in the spinal cord of RTX‐treated rats. A synthetic triterpenoid, CDDO, blocked RTX‐induced mechanical allodynia, rescued neuronal cell death, and inhibited glial cell activation in the spinal cord of RTX‐treated rats. Conclusions: Our study provides a novel result that a synthetic triterpenoid, CDDO, can interfere neuronal cell death and glial cell activation in the spinal cord of RTX‐treated rats. Simple Summary: Panomics refers to the integration of multiple omics technologies to comprehensively examine and interpret biomolecular data at different levels. This approach facilitates the study of sheep genetics and related functions, providing valuable insights into sheep breeding, disease prevention, and treatment strategies. By analyzing the complex interactions between genes, proteins, and metabolites, we can gain a deeper understanding of sheep biology and ultimately improve productivity and reproduction. Panomics, in particular, allows for the prediction, screening, and pinpointing of animal genetic traits, overcoming the limitations of traditional breeding methods like age constraints and issues with accuracy and reliability. This advancement holds immense importance for sheep breeding and agricultural production. Multi-omics-integrated analysis, known as panomics, represents an advanced methodology that harnesses various high-throughput technologies encompassing genomics, epigenomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, and metabolomics. Sheep, playing a pivotal role in agricultural sectors due to their substantial economic importance, have witnessed remarkable advancements in genetic breeding through the amalgamation of multiomics analyses, particularly with the evolution of high-throughput technologies. This integrative approach has established a robust theoretical foundation, enabling a deeper understanding of sheep genetics and fostering improvements in breeding strategies. The comprehensive insights obtained through this approach shed light on diverse facets of sheep development, including growth, reproduction, disease resistance, and the quality of livestock products. This review primarily focuses on the application of principal omics analysis technologies in sheep, emphasizing correlation studies between multiomics data and specific traits such as meat quality, wool characteristics, and reproductive features. In this paper, an output dynamic game model of intertwined supply chains operating in two different countries is established. The Nash equilibrium point of the model and its stable region are obtained using nonlinear dynamic principles. The complex properties of the system, such as stability, period-doubling bifurcations, and chaos, are investigated using numerical simulations. Our results suggest that the level of output and the system's profits undergo bifurcation and chaos with an increase in the output adjustment speed. An interesting phenomenon occurs in that higher tariffs lead to the expansion of the stable range of the supply chain in the product-exporting country. The chaotic behavior of the system is sensitive to the value of the initial level of output. In supply chain competition, each supply chain firm should make suitable adjustments to the speed of output. To maintain the stability of domestic markets, excessive tariffs should be avoided. It is essential that each supply chain firm evaluates the potential impacts of different initial output values when making initial decisions. Using the method of delayed feedback control, the chaotic behavior of the system can effectively be controlled. Poor adhesion between silver nanomaterials and substrates seriously restricts the development of electronic composite devices. In this work, flexible and conductive silver nanowires/fibroin/degummed silk (AgNWs/fibroin/dSF) composite fibers with high adhesion and conductivity via capillarity-assisted assembly for electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding are designed and fabricated by a facile and scalable all-solution dip-coating method. The nanocomposite fiber possesses high conductivity with a resistance of 8.8 Ω/cm at a low AgNWs/fibroin loading of 19.3 wt%. The assistance of the capillary force in the fiber highly increases the mass of deposited AgNWs. Furthermore, the AgNWs show high adhesion on the fibers in the tape-peel test. The enhanced deposition factors and mechanisms are detailly investigated. Moreover, the composite fibers are further woven into a soft and flexible fabric. The composite fabric shows an absorption-dominated EMI shielding performance with an efficient shielding effectiveness of 38 dB. The real-time monitoring of human temperature can facilitate efficient family health supervision, disaster diagnosis, and treatment. To meet these requirements, there is an urgent need to develop fibre-based temperature sensors with high sensitivity, fast response rates, and excellent stability. This study investigated the positive temperature characteristics of a stretchable and strain-insensitive temperature sensor with a chemically modified silver nanowire (AgNW). The regulation of the surface polymer on the AgNWs using a conductive ligand of polyaniline-L-cysteine ethyl ester hydrochloride (PANI-LCO) improved the network conductivity by decreasing the junction resistance. In addition, the pristine flexibility and helicoid structure of a spandex polyurethane (SP) covered yarn substrate proved advantageous for the ultra-stretchability of the temperature sensor. Therefore, the synergistic effect of the PANI-LCO-AgNWs and the substrate endowed the composite fibre-based temperature sensor with a high-temperature coefficient of resistance (TCR) of 47.4%/°C and a high stretchability of up to 120%. Furthermore, this study investigated the actual characteristics of the sensor required for the high-performance monitoring of human temperatures. Moreover, theoretical calculations of the electrical distribution of the PANI-LCO ligands further confirmed the experimental chemical modification. A fibre-based temperature sensor can be integrated and woven or sewn onto a cloth or glove with high adaptability. Tetrabromobisphenol S (TBBPS) is a widely used brominated flame retardant that has attracted environmental concern due to its abundant presence in water. The objective of this study is to systematically analyze the direct photolysis and degradation mechanisms of TBBPS in two different dissociation forms in water, as well as to evaluate their toxicological effects induced by •OH, 1O 2 , and •NO 2 radicals. The degradation mechanism of TBBPS is investigated with density functional theory (DFT) and time-dependent density functional theory (TDDFT) methods, and the toxicity of the degradation products is assessed through toxicological studies. The results of the study indicate that the OH-addition and H-abstraction reactions are favorable pathways for •OH-induced TBBPS degradation. The H-abstraction reaction of TBBPS0 with •OH was more favorable than the •OH addition reaction. However, in the degradation of TBBPS−, the •OH addition reaction was favored over the H-abstraction reaction. Additionally, the indirect photolysis of TBBPS by 1O 2 and •NO 2 in water was found to be easier for TBBPS− compared to TBBPS0, with degradation mechanisms involving Br-substitution and NO 2 -addition reactions. The higher E a values calculated indicate that the degradation of TBBPS by 1O 2 and •NO 2 in water has been a secondary reaction. The direct photolysis reaction pathway of TBBPS in water has involved the cleavage of the S1–C7 and S1–C16 bonds. For TBBPS0 in the S 1 /T 1 states, the primary reaction pathway is the cleavage of the S1–C16 bond, while for TBBPS−, the primary reaction pathway is the cleavage of the S1–C7 bond. Furthermore, the computational toxicology results indicate a slight increase in the toxicity levels of most products, highlighting the significance of investigating the degradation byproducts of TBBPS in greater detail. Herein, square-wave alternating voltage (SWAV, ± U) was applied on nanowire electrodes to periodically reverse the cathodic/anodic polarity and their repulsions/attractions with bacterial cells, in turn promoting cell inactivation and fouling resistance. As compared with the gradual decrease in cell inactivation by the biofouling on nanowire anode under DV supply, SWAV supply enabled stable and efficient disinfection with ∼ 2 log higher cell inactivation and ∼ 3 times lower energy consumption (0.32–11.3 Wh/m3/log at 1.0–3.0 V) for various G- (Escherichia coli and Acinetobacter schindleri) and G+ (Enterococcus faecalis and Bacillus cereus) bacteria in deionized water, tap water and lake water. The cell morphology observation, flow cytometry analyses, and quenching experiments of reactive species revealed that electroporation on nanowire interfaces with locally enhanced electric field was the main mechanism for bacterial inactivation under voltages below 3.0 V. It was revealed that reversion of electrophoretic and electrostatic attractions under SWAV supply regulated cell migration, adsorption and desorption on nanowire interface, resulting in cell inactivation and fouling resistance on both nanowire electrodes. Herein, we proposed an efficient strategy by constructing synergistic nanowire-induced electroporation (DC-EP) and Cl 2 (DC-EP/Cl 2) with H 2 -reduced TiO 2 nanowire (TiO x NW) electrodes, attempting to promote i-ARG removal via DC-EP-induced cell damage for chlorine permeation and i-ARG leakage. DC-EP/Cl 2 (∼3.7 log and ∼ 60.5 J/L/log) exhibited excellent synergistic effects for ARB inactivation (Escherichia coli) and i-ARG removal (tet(W) , aac(3)-II , and bla TEM – 1), which achieved much larger i-ARG removal and lower energy consumption than the individual 1.5 V-DC-EP (∼0.05 log) and 10 mg/L-Cl 2 (∼0.5 log and ∼ 262.0 J/L/log). Analyses of i-ARG/e-ARG abundances, bacterial cell integrity, and cell morphology indicated that DC-EP-induced cell pores provided channels of chlorine permeation, which was accompanied with oxidative enlargement of cell pores for i-ARG leakage and subsequent degradation. DC-EP/Cl 2 exhibited 15–90 times lower frequency of horizontal gene transfer than the individual Cl 2 disinfection. The TiO x NW-based DC-EP/Cl 2 exhibited excellent stability of i-ARG removal (undetectable ARG abundance and ∼ 20.3 J/L/log) for treating 103 CFU/mL ARB-contaminated tap water within 7-day continuous operation, suggesting its great application potential to alleviate ARG dissemination risk for drinking water. Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) is a major risk factor of gastric cancer (GC). The SUMO-activating enzyme SAE1(SUMO-activating enzyme subunit 1), which is indispensable for protein SUMOylation, involves in human tumorigenesis. In this study, we used the TIMER and TCGA database to explore the SAE1 expression in GC and normal tissues and Kaplan–Meier Plotter platform for survival analysis of GC patients. GC tissue microarray and gastric samples from patients who underwent endoscopic treatment were employed to detect the SAE1expression. Our results showed that SAE1 was overexpressed in GC tissues and higher SAE1 expression was associated with worse clinical characteristics of GC patients. Cell and animal models showed that H. pylori infection upregulated SAE1, SUMO1, and SUMO2/3 protein expression. Functional assays suggested that suppression of SAE1 attenuated epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) biomarkers and cell proliferation abilities induced by H. pylori. Cell and animal models of ROS inhibition in H. pylori showed that ROS could mediate the H. pylori-induced upregulation of SAE1, SUMO1, and SUMO2/3 protein. RNA sequencing was performed and suggested that knockdown of SAE1 could exert an impact on IGF-1 expression. General, increased SUMOylation modification is involved in H. pylori-induced GC. Background: Cerebral infarct associated with varicella-zoster virus (VZV) has been reported in the literature, while isolated central dizziness due to lateral medullary infarct (LMI) following VZV infection is rarely reported. Case report: We report the case of a 65-year-old man who presented to the neurology department because of herpes zoster on the right trigeminal nerve distribution. At 12 hours after admission, he developed transient vertigo along with nausea and unsteady walking and left-sided spontaneous horizontal nystagmus, gaze-evoked nystagmus, and upbeat nystagmus. The other usual signs of LMI including Horner syndrome, dysarthria, swallowing difficulty, and hemibody sensory change were absent. Video head impulse indicated decreased head impulse gain of the vestibulo-ocular reflex for the bilateral horizontal, anterior, and posterior semicircular canals with abnormal saccade waves. Suppression head impulse paradigm showed few downward saccades reflecting anti-compensatory saccades after the end of the head impulse back to the head-fixed target and decreased vestibulo-ocular reflex gain values of bilateral semicircular canals. Brain magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) showed a small infarct in the far dorsolateral portion of the left rostral medulla. The cerebrospinal fluid was positive for VZV DNA. Conclusions: In patients with VZV infection who develop dizziness, the possibility of cerebral infarct should be considered. Patients with facial herpes zoster and neurological symptoms always be screened for stroke using MRI and lumbar puncture should be performed and acyclovir administered empirically. Perovskite single crystals have attracted tremendous attention owing to their excellent optoelectronic properties and stability compared to typical multicrystal structures. However, the growth of high‐quality perovskite single crystals (PSCs) generally relies on temperature gradients or the introduction of additives to promote crystal growth. In this study, a vacuum evaporation crystallization technique is developed that allows PSCs to be grown under extremely stable conditions at constant temperature and without requiring additives to promote crystal growth. The new method enables the growth of PSCs of unprecedented quality, that is, MAPbBr3 single crystals that exhibit an ultranarrow full width at half maximum of 0.00701°, which surpasses that of all previously reported values. In addition, the MAPbBr3 single crystals deliver exceptional optoelectronic performance, including a long carrier lifetime of 1006 ns, an ultralow trap‐state density of 3.67 × 109 cm−3, and an ultrahigh carrier mobility of 185.86 cm2 V−1 s−1. Sugarcane brown rust (SCBR), caused by Puccinia melanocephala, is a destructive fungal disease that has extensively spread in the sugarcane-cultivating regions across the world. Early monitoring plays an important role in predicting the P. melanocephala epidemic and managing SCBR. However, accurately identifying SCBR based on symptoms and urediniospore morphology at the initial stage is a challenge. Further, it is tedious, time-consuming, labor-intensive, and requires expensive equipment to detect P. melanocephala using PCR-based methods. Loop-mediated isothermal amplification (LAMP) technology is renowned for its speed, simplicity, and low equipment requirements for specifically and sensitively identifying many pathogens. Therefore, in this study, a novel and highly sensitive LAMP assay was developed for the specific detection of P. melanocephala in sugarcane. Here, the internal transcribed spacer (ITS) sequence of P. melanocephala was selected as the target gene for LAMP primer design. Based on the color change of SYBR Green I and gel electrophoresis, specific LAMP primers were screened. Further, the optimal reaction conditions for the LAMP assay were determined at 63 °C for 60 min. The LAMP assay showed a high degree of specificity for the detection of P. melanocephala in sugarcane, with no cross-reactivity with other fungal pathogens. The established LAMP protocol was highly sensitive and can be used to detect as low as 1 pg/μL of P. melanocephala plasmid DNA, which is comparable to that of nested PCR and ~100 times more sensitive than conventional PCR. Micro‐Doppler effect is a vital feature of a target that reflects its oscillatory motions apart from bulk motion and provides an important evidence for target recognition with radars. However, establishing the micro‐Doppler database poses a great challenge, since plenty of experiments are required to get the micro‐Doppler signatures of different targets for the purpose of analyses and interpretations with radars, which are dramatically limited by high cost and time‐consuming. Aiming to overcome these limits, a low‐cost and powerful simulation platform of the micro‐Doppler effects is proposed based on time‐domain digital coding metasurface (TDCM). Owing to the outstanding capabilities of TDCM in generating and manipulating nonlinear harmonics during wave‐matter interactions, it enables to supply rich and high‐precision electromagnetic signals with multiple micro‐Doppler frequencies to describe the micro‐motions of different objects, which are especially favored for the training of artificial intelligence algorithms in automatic target recognition and benefit a host of applications like imaging and biosensing. A comprehensive evaluation of collagen-based historical artifacts is crucial for the preservation and inheritance of cultural relics, necessitating interdisciplinary approaches that integrate scientific knowledge with practical expertise to develop effective conservation strategies. The present work was focused on a piece of historical leather armor housed in Turpan Museum, Xinjiang, China. SEM–EDS, XRD, ATR-FTIR, and NMR were carried out on this historical leather armor from macro and micro perspectives, mainly including morphology observation, composition analysis, structural assessment, which could provide both quantitative and qualitative insights into the deterioration of the historical leather armor. Additionally, the non-destructive sampling methods and the third-generation sequencing technology (TGS) were employed to identify a total of 13 bacterial species and 8 fungal species, and their metabolic pathways were predicted, providing guidance for preventive conservation and restoration strategies. Nanoparticles (NPs) have been surfacing as a pivotal platform for vaccine development. In our previous work, we developed a cholera toxin B subunit (CTB)-based self-assembled nanoparticle (CNP) and produced highly promising bioconjugate nanovaccines by loading bacterial polysaccharide (OPS) in vivo. In particular, the Klebsiella pneumoniae O2 serotype vaccine showcased a potent immune response and protection against infection. However, extremely low yields limited its further application. In this study, we prepared an efficient Klebsiella pneumoniae bioconjugate nanovaccine in Escherichia coli with a very high yield. By modifying the 33rd glycine (G) in the CNP to aspartate (D), we were able to observe a dramatically increased expression of glycoprotein. Subsequently, through a series of mutations, we determined that G33D was essential to increasing production. In addition, this increase only occurred in engineered E. coli but not in the natural host K. pneumoniae strain 355 (Kp355) expressing OPSKpO2. Next, T-cell epitopes were fused at the end of the CNP(G33D), and animal experiments showed that fusion of the M51 peptide induced high antibody titers, consistent with the levels of the original nanovaccine, CNP-OPSKpO2. Hence, we provide an effective approach for the high-yield production of K. pneumoniae bioconjugate nanovaccines and guidance for uncovering glycosylation mechanisms and refining glycosylation systems. Acute lung injury (ALI) is a severe respiratory disease with a high mortality rate. The integrity of the pulmonary endothelial barrier influences the development and prognosis of ALI. Therefore, it has become an important target for ALI treatment. Extracellular vesicles (EVs) are promising nanotherapeutic agents against ALI. Herein, endothelium‐derived engineered extracellular vesicles (eEVs) that deliver microRNA‐125b‐5p (miRNA‐125b) to lung tissues exerting a protective effect on endothelial barrier integrity are reported. eEVs that are modified with lung microvascular endothelial cell‐targeting peptides (LET) exhibit a prolonged retention time in lung tissues and targeted lung microvascular endothelial cells in vivo and in vitro. To improve the efficacy of the EVs, miRNA‐125b is loaded into EVs. Finally, LET‐EVs‐miRNA‐125b is constructed. The results show that compared to the EVs, miRNA‐125b, and EVs‐miRNA‐125b, LET‐EVs‐miRNA‐125b exhibit the most significant treatment efficacy in ALI. Moreover, LET‐EVs‐miRNA‐125b is found to have an important protective effect on endothelial barrier integrity by inhibiting cell apoptosis, promoting angiogenesis, and protecting intercellular junctions. Sequencing analysis reveals that LET‐EVs‐miRNA‐125b downregulates early growth response‐1 (EGR1) levels, which may be a potential mechanism of action. Background: Enterocytozoon bieneusi is a zoonotic pathogen widely distributed in animals and humans. It can cause diarrhea and even death in immunocompromised hosts. Approximately 800 internal transcribed spacer (ITS) genotypes have been identified in E. bieneusi. Farmed foxes and raccoon dogs are closely associated to humans and might be the reservoir of E. bieneusi which is known to have zoonotic potential. However, there are only a few studies about E. bieneusi genotype identification and epidemiological survey in foxes and raccoon dogs in Henan and Hebei province. Thus, the present study investigated the infection rates and genotypes of E. bieneusi in farmed foxes and raccoon dogs in the Henan and Hebei provinces. Result: A total of 704 and 884 fecal specimens were collected from foxes and raccoon dogs, respectively. Nested PCR was conducted based on ITS of ribosomal RNA (rRNA), and then multilocus sequence typing (MLST) was conducted to analyze the genotypes. The result showed that infection rates of E. bieneusi in foxes and raccoon dogs were 18.32% and 5.54%, respectively. Ten E. bieneusi genotypes with zoonotic potential (NCF2, NCF3, D, EbpC, CHN-DC1, SCF2, CHN-F1, Type IV, BEB4, and BEB6) were identified in foxes and raccoon dogs. Totally 178 ITS-positive DNA specimens were identified from foxes and raccoon dogs and these specimens were then subjected to MLST analysis. In the MLST analysis, 12, 2, 7 and 8 genotypes were identified in at the mini-/ micro-satellite loci MS1, MS3, MS4 and MS7, respectively. A total of 14 multilocus genotypes were generated using ClustalX 2.1 software. Overall, the present study evaluated the infection of E. bieneusi in foxes and raccoon dogs in the Henan and Hebei province, and investigated the zoonotic potential of the E. bieneusi in foxes and raccoon dogs. Conclusions: These findings expand the geographic distribution information of E. bieneusi' host in China and was helpful in preventing against the infection of E. bieneusi with zoonotic potential in foxes and raccoon dogs. Background: Recently, an increasing number of studies have suggested dual-specificity phosphatase 23 (DUSP23) is a critical factor in the development of diffuse connective tissue disease and may be a valuable biomarker for primary human cancers. However, there is a lack of comprehensive studies on the prognostic significance of DUSP23 expression in acute myeloid leukemia (AML). Methods: RNA sequencing data from The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) (AML = 173), Genotype-Tissue Expression (GTEx) (healthy controls = 70) and GEO (AML = 461, healthy controls = 76) databases were used to compare DUSP23 expression between AML patients and healthy controls. The overall survival (OS) of DUSP23 in AML was evaluated using Kaplan-Meier Cox regression. Furthermore, univariate Cox regression and multivariate Cox regression analysis were used to determine whether DUSP23 was an independent prognostic factor for AML. We then verified the expression level and prognostic significance of DUSP23 in our cohort (AML = 128, healthy controls = 31). In addition, functional enrichment analysis of DUSP23-related DEGs was performed through gene set enrichment analysis (GSEA) and protein-protein interaction (PPI) network analysis. Results: The expression level of DUSP23 is significantly higher in AML patients than in healthy controls in TCGA, GTEx, GEO databases and our cohort. By multivariate analysis, high expression of DUSP23 is a poor prognostic indicator of OS in the TCGA database. Next, we verified the role of DUSP23 as an adverse prognostic biomarker in our cohort. Enrichment analysis of related genes showed that DUSP23 may regulate important signal pathways in hematological tumors including the MAPK pathways. It is suggested by the PPI network that DUSP23, along with IMP3, MRPL4, MRPS12, POLR2L, and ATP5F1D may play a role in the process of AML. • The model of the LSTM was used to simulate transboundary streamflow temperature using an Open-Source database. • Operation of the cascade reservoirs was the dominant driver of the slight change in annual river temperature in the LMRB. • Cascade reservoir operation resulted in seasonal warming and cooling of the LMR, linearizing river temperature processes. The Lancang-Mekong River Basin (LMRB) is an important transboundary river basin containing large-scale cascade hydropower dams. There has been increasing interest in the cross-border impacts of cascade reservoirs and climate change on the water temperature of the LMRB. However, there remain limited related basin-scale quantitative studies. This study applied a deep learning method (Long short-term memory neural network, LSTM) to reconstruct the natural water temperature of the Lower Mekong River (LMR), which was compared with observation data influenced by dam operation. The aim of this study was to assess the impacts of the dams and climate change on the dynamics of water temperature in the basin. The results showed that: (1) Climate change had a relatively minor effect on the water temperature of the LMRB, with the warming effect of climate change gradually increasing from upstream to downstream. (2) The operation of the cascade reservoirs has resulted in seasonal warming and cooling of water temperature, although the average annual water temperature of the LMRB has increased by 0.27–0.59 °C. (3) The slight increase in annual average water temperature due to reservoir operation gradually weakened from upstream to downstream. (4) The increase in annual river temperature became more pronounced from 2008 to 2016 with the completion of Xiaowan, Nuozadu, and other power stations. This study characterized the responses of streamflow temperature to climate change and cascade reservoirs and can act as a reference for water resources management and hydropower development in the LMRB. A recent single-cell survey of the small-intestinal epithelium suggests that mucosal pentraxin 2 (Mptx2) is a new Paneth cell marker, but its function and involved mechanism in the Paneth cell are still unknown. Therefore, we create Mptx2 knockout (Mptx2−/−) mice to investigate its precise effects on intestinal homeostasis using models of lipopolysaccharide (LPS), methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) peritoneal infection, and dextran sulfate sodium (DSS)–induced intestinal injury and inflammation. We here find that Mptx2 is selectively expressed in Paneth cells in the small intestines of mice. Mptx2−/− mice have increased susceptibility to intestinal inflammation and injured. Mptx2 deficiency reduces Paneth cell count and expression of antimicrobial factors, leading to altered intestinal bacteria composition. Loss of Mptx2 aggravates MRSA infection–induced damage in the intestine while decreasing autophagy in Paneth cells. Mptx2−/− mice are more vulnerable to LPS-induced intestinal possibly due to inhibition of the autophagy/endoplasmic reticulum (ER) stress pathway. Mptx2−/− mice are susceptible to DSS-induced colitis that could be ameliorated by treatment with gentamicin or vancomycin antibiotics. In conclusion, Mptx2 is essential to maintain intestinal homeostasis potentially via regulation of autophagy in Paneth cells. Mucosal pentraxin 2 (Mptx2) is identified as a marker of Paneth cells, and its deficiency is shown to trigger microbiota dysbiosis and increased epithelial invasion by bacteria while also reducing secretory autophagy. Microwave and infrared–thermal radiation-compatible shielding fabrics represent an important direction in the development of wearable protective fabrics. Nevertheless, effectively and conveniently integrating compatible shielding functions into fabrics while maintaining breathability and moisture permeability remains a significant challenge. Here, we take hydrophilic PVA-co-PE nanofibrous film-coated PET fabric (NFs/PET) as a flexible substrate and deposit a dielectric/conductive (SiO2/Al) bilayer film via magnetron sputtering. This strategy endows the fabric surface with high electrical conductivity, nanoscale roughness comparable to visible and infrared waves, and a dielectric–metal contact interface possessing localized plasmon resonance and Mie scattering effects. The results demonstrate that the optimized SiO2/Al/NFs/PET composite conductive fabric (referred to as S4-1) possesses favorable X-band electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding effectiveness (50 dB) as well as excellent long-wave infrared (LWIR) shielding or IR stealth performance (IR emissivity of 0.60). Notably, the S4-1 fabric has a cooling effect of about 12.4 °C for a heat source (80 °C) and an insulating effect of about 17.2 °C for a cold source (−20 °C), showing excellent shielding capability for heat conduction and heat radiations. Moreover, the moisture permeability of the S4-1 fabric is about 300 g/(m2·h), which is better than the requirement concerning moisture permeability for wearable fabrics (≥2500–5000 g/(m2·24 h)), indicating excellent heat and moisture comfort. In short, our fabrics have lightweight, thin, moisture-permeable and excellent shielding performance, which provides novel ideas for the development of wearable multi-band shielding fabrics applied to complex electromagnetic environments. Myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS) encompass a collection of clonal hematopoietic malignancies distinguished by the depletion of peripheral blood cells. The treatment of MDS is hindered by the advanced age of patients, with a restricted repertoire of drugs currently accessible for therapeutic intervention. In this study, we found that ES-Cu strongly inhibited the viability of MDS cell lines and activated cuproptosis in a copper-dependent manner. Importantly, ferroptosis inducer IKE synergistically enhanced ES-Cu-mediated cytotoxicity both in vitro and in vivo. Of note, the combination of IKE and ES-Cu intensively impaired mitochondrial homeostasis with increased mitochondrial ROS, MMP hyperpolarized, down-regulated iron-sulfur proteins and declined oxygen consumption rate. Additionally, ES-Cu/IKE treatment could enhance the lipoylation-dependent oligomerization of the DLAT. To elucidate the specific order of events in the synergistic cell death, inhibitors of ferroptosis and cuproptosis were utilized to further characterize the basis of cell death. Cell viability assays showed that the glutathione and its precursor N-acetylcysteine could significantly rescue the cell death under either mono or combination treatment, demonstrating that GSH acts at the crossing point in the regulation network of cuproptosis and ferroptosis. Significantly, the reconstitution of xCT expression and knockdown of FDX1 cells have been found to contribute to the tolerance of mono treatment but have little recovery impact on the combined treatment. Collectively, these findings suggest that a synergistic interaction leading to the induction of multiple programmed cell death pathways could be a promising approach to enhance the effectiveness of therapy for MDS. Hepatic fibrosis is a complex chronic liver disease in which both macrophages and hepatic stellate cells (HSCs) play important roles. Many studies have shown that clodronate liposomes (CLD-lipos) effectively deplete macrophages. However, no liposomes have been developed that target both HSCs and macrophages. This study aimed to evaluate the therapeutic efficacy of lipopolysaccharide-coupled clodronate liposomes (LPS-CLD-lipos) and the effects of liposomes size on hepatic fibrosis. Three rat models of hepatic fibrosis were established in vivo ; diethylnitrosamine (DEN), bile duct ligation (BDL), and carbon tetrachloride (CCl 4). Hematoxylin and eosin staining and serological liver function indices were used to analyze pathological liver damage. Masson's trichrome and Sirius red staining were used to evaluate the effect of liposomes on liver collagen fibers. The hydroxyproline content in liver tissues was determined. In vitro cell counting kit-8 (CCK-8) and immunofluorescence assays were used to further explore the effects of LPS modification and liposomes size on the killing of macrophages and HSCs. Both in vitro and in vivo experiments showed that 200 nm LPS-CLD-lipos significantly inhibited hepatic fibrosis and the abnormal deposition of collagen fibers in the liver and improved the related indicators of liver function. Further results showed that 200 nm LPS-CLD-lipos increased the clearance of macrophages and induced apoptosis of hepatic stellate cells, significantly. The incidence and mortality rate of myocardial infarction are increasing per year in China. The polarization of macrophages towards the classically activated macrophages (M1) phenotype is of utmost importance in the progression of inflammatory stress subsequent to myocardial infarction. Poly (ADP-ribose) polymerase 1(PARP1) is the ubiquitous and best characterized member of the PARP family, which has been reported to support macrophage polarization towards the pro-inflammatory phenotype. Yet, the role of PARP1 in myocardial ischemic injury remains to be elucidated. Here, we demonstrated that a myocardial infarction mouse model induced cardiac damage characterized by cardiac dysfunction and increased PARP1 expression in cardiac macrophages. Inhibition of PARP1 by the PJ34 inhibitors could effectively alleviate M1 macrophage polarization, reduce infarction size, decrease inflammation and rescue the cardiac function post-MI in mice. Mechanistically, the suppression of PARP1 increase NLRC5 gene expression, and thus inhibits the NF-κB pathway, thereby decreasing the production of inflammatory cytokines such as IL-1β and TNF-α. Inhibition of NLRC5 promote infection by effectively abolishing the influence of this mechanism discussed above. Interestingly, inhibition of NLRC5 promotes cardiac macrophage polarization toward an M1 phenotype but without having major effects on M2 macrophages. Our results demonstrate that inhibition of PARP1 increased NLRC5 gene expression, thereby suppressing M1 polarization, improving cardiac function, decreasing infarct area and attenuating inflammatory injury. The aforementioned findings provide new insights into the proinflammatory mechanisms that drive macrophage polarization following myocardial infarction, thereby introducing novel potential targets for future therapeutic interventions in individuals affected by myocardial infarction. This work reports a carboxymethylated and Na+ doped bacterial cellulose-based ionogel (CBCIG-Na) with synergistically increased mechanical and thermoelectric performances. The enhancement of thermoelectric properties of ionogels is mainly attributed to the increase of ion transport pathways and the mobility difference between anions and cations in ionic liquid. After the modification, the CBCIG-Na ionogel with 0.5 mol% Na+ (CBCIG-Na 0.5%) exhibits high Seebeck coefficient (45.02 mV K−1), ionic conductivity (21.2 mS cm−1) and ionic power factor (4296.82 μW m−1 K−2) when the relative humidity (RH) is 85 %. This is the highest ionic power factor ever reported for bacterial cellulose-based ionogels. Moreover, the CBCIG-Na 0.5% shows high tensile strength (7.69 MPa) due to the larger 3D fiber network and enhanced intermolecular force, obvious adhesivity (9.28 kPa) and high transparence (76 %). After that, a flexible i-TE device containing 5 legs and packaged with polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) was constructed. A high thermovoltage of 264.36 mV is generated when wearing the i-TE device (5 legs) on the forearm at room temperature (ΔT = 1.2 K). Supercapacitor with favorable power density and short charging time has attracted tremendous attention. However, its energy-storing capability is still far less than the battery's. Pseudocapacitive materials such as polypyrrole exhibit great potential in the high-capacitance devices. Here, pyrrole was in-situ polymerized on the hollow polyurethane thread (PPy/HPU), then the PPy/HPU acted as working electrode for the electrochemical polymerization of pyrrole to construct PPy nanowires on its outer surface (EPPy-PPy/HPU thread). EPPy-PPy/HPU electrode with abundant PPy nanowires exhibits higher slope value of Δ J /2 vs. scan rates (1.43 mF cm−1) than the PPy/HPU's one (0.327 mF cm−1), indicating its larger active area for electrochemical reaction. Thus, EPPy-PPy/HPU performs a superior capacitance (475.9–221.3 mF cm−2 at 0.25–1.00 mA cm−2) than the PPy/HPU (249.1–92.5 mF cm−2). Two EPPy-PPy/HPU electrodes were penetrated by PVA/H 2 SO 4 gel electrolyte to assemble a solid-state supercapacitor (SSC), which presents a dominant diffusion-controlled capacitance, good rate capability (only falling from 36.25 to 29.5 mF cm−1) and stable energy density (0.915–1.286 μWh cm−1). The practical application of a photocatalytic fuel cell (PFC) is usually limited by its long pollutant degradation period. Here, two strategies were adopted to improve the PFC performance. On one hand, a ternary Z-scheme heterojunction photocatalyst (Bi 2 O 4 /Bi 2 WO 6 /C 3 N 4 qds) was used as the photoanode to promote the separation of photo-generated charge carriers, thereby improving the photocatalytic process. On the other hand, CuFe 2 O 4 was used as the photocathode to activate persulfate (PS) to further enhance pollutant degradation and electricity generation. The results indicated that, under visible light irradiation (45 min), the degradation efficiency of tetracycline by the coupling system of Bi 2 O 4 /Bi 2 WO 6 /C 3 N 4 qds-CuFe 2 O 4 + PS (PFCps) reached to 94.5%. The corresponding first-order kinetic constant was 8.13, 3.40, 3.34, and 1.89 times that of PS, Bi 2 O 4 /Bi 2 WO 6 /C 3 N 4 qds + PS, CuFe 2 O 4 + PS, and Bi 2 O 4 /Bi 2 WO 6 /C 3 N 4 qds-CuFe 2 O 4 , respectively. The highest maximum power density of the PFCps system was 37.0 μW·cm−2, which was 1.89 times that of the PFC of Bi 2 O 4 /Bi 2 WO 6 /C 3 N 4 qds-CuFe 2 O 4. The reactive species capturing experiments verified that ·OH, ·O 2 -, h +, and ·SO 4 - had positive effects on the tetracycline degradation. This study investigates the efficacious utilization of sludge as a subgrade filler through in-situ shallow stabilization, employing cementitious industrial waste materials including steel slag (SS), fly ash (FA), and calcium carbide residue (CCR) as binding agents. The primary emphasis lies in the evaluation of the macro unconfined compression strength of stabilized sludge over a seven-day curing period, facilitated by a quadratic polynomial response surface model to determine the optimal composite stabilizer (WZ01) proportions. Furthermore, an array of meticulous microstructural analyses encompassing X-ray diffraction, X-ray fluorescence, scanning electron microscopy, and energy-dispersive spectroscopy were undertaken to elucidate the development of internal cementitious products and the intrinsic mechanisms underpinning sludge stabilization in tandem with WZ01. The findings ascertain that the optimum WZ01 composition stands at SS: FA: CCR = 32:28:40. Prominent mineralogical constituents within the stabilized sludge encompass amorphous calcium silicate hydrate, calcium aluminate hydrate, and crystalline ettringite. The amelioration in stabilized sludge properties stems from intricate processes involving ion exchange, hydration reactions, and pozzolanic activities.
