The article examines the aspects of the formation of entrepreneurial skills among students in the conditions of dynamic development of the modern economy. The authors consider the experience of holding a competition of student startups (Hackathon) as an interesting opportunity for students to demonstrate theoretical knowledge in practice. But an important component of such competitions is the jury, which must be knowledgeable and competent. That is why the authors paid attention to the aspects of attracting business and investors to such contests and their motivation to participate in such contests as a jury. The literature review shows that most research focuses on the importance of developing practical projects and conducting relevant competitions to form entrepreneurial skills in students. However, the issue of motivation and involvement of business representatives in such competitions remains insufficiently researched, so the authors focus on this aspect. The research analyses the practice of organizing the student competition of innovative ideas, Mohyla Open Hackathon “BE FIRST,” and the results of a survey of the competition’s jury members. In general, the jury members have a positive attitude towards such activities and show a desire to participate in similar events in the future, indicating the innovative and business community’s interest in such events as part of the ecosystem’s development and growth. One of the biggest advantages of hackathons is the benefits for participants, primarily students. However, our research shows that the benefits for judges are also significant and include personal (networking, improving communication skills, etc.) and professional (seeing students in action and understanding their potential for the industry and job market) advantages. Such competitions serve several roles: (1) demonstrating to university stakeholders the practical skills and competencies of students that are important for better employability, (2) enabling students to develop entrepreneurial skills, promoting proactivity and a greater propensity for self-employment, and (3) creating an environment for developing new ideas and introducing innovations, ensuring the sustainable development of the economy. Thus, the expansion of startup competitions appears to be an important and effective mechanism for promoting entrepreneurship in university settings.

Problem statement: The evolution of team sports is closely tied to the migration of highly skilled players and their concentration in the world's top leagues. Approach: The formation of national volleyball teams is influenced by the migration of leading players to premier international leagues, considering their global rankings. This migration enhances the teams' competitive performance in major international tournaments. Results. The results of the study show that today, there is a migration of volleyball players, members of national teams to the national championships of Italy and Poland, for women in Turkey and Italy, which can be traced to the migration of legionnaires of the national teams of the USA, Serbia, France, and Brazil. It is confirmed that migration processes in volleyball increase after a successful performance at the Olympic Games, manifested in the transition of leading players to the world's major leagues. The analysis of the migration of players of the Olympic Games and World Championships winners shows that a significant increase in migration processes in world volleyball has been observed since 2012 (48.3% for men, 39.2% for women) and will reach its maximum value in 2022 (53.0% and 46.8%, respectively). The analysis of the relationship between migration rates and the ranking based on the results of the 2020 Olympic Games showed a positive correlation (r = 0.587) in the formation of men's national teams and a negative correlation (r = -0.373) in women's teams. There are also strong correlations between migration rates and the country's economic development level, highlighting the significant economic impact of volleyball (r = 0.287 for men, r = -0.368 for women). Conclusions. The analysis of the development of modern volleyball has made it possible to establish that today, its further professionalization is taking place through the formation of professional structures in the Olympic system of competitions. Analyzing performance indicators in rugby is essential for improving training programs and team dynamics. A key direction is to compare these indicators between winning and losing teams in prestigious rugby tournaments to identify patterns and strategic insights that can enhance team performance. However, current research frequently examines isolated competitions and lacks thorough comparative analysis across different tournaments. This study aims to analyze and identify the differences between winning and losing men's rugby union teams across various competitions in 2023. This study analysed performance data from men's rugby competitions in 2023, encompassing matches from The Six Nations Championship, The Rugby Championship, and the Rugby World Cup. A total of 68 matches were examined, categorizing 47 matches from the Rugby World Cup and 21 from international competitions for comparative analysis. Data collection included 32 performance indicators for both winning and losing teams, analysed using statistical methods to identify significant differences. Comparative analysis of team performance indicators between the Rugby World Cup and international competitions, including The Six Nations Championship and The Rugby Championship, reveals significant differences. Winning teams in the Rugby World Cup scored significantly higher points on average (41.5 ± 13.2) compared to international competitions (32.8 ± 7.7), reflecting greater variability in performance at the World Cup. Conversely, losing teams in the Rugby World Cup averaged fewer points (13.2 ± 8.0) compared to international competitions (16.3 ± 6.9). These findings underscore distinct competitive levels across different rugby tournaments. The analysis revealed that in the World Cup, 18 indicators (56.3%) exhibit statistically significant differences between losing and winning teams, whereas the analysis of performances in international competitions identified only 4 (12.5%) statistically significant differences between losing and winning teams. Action-based college Entrepreneurial Education (EE) is trying to stimulate explorative and exploitive actions in consulting networks provided with venture simulations, to enhance knowledge performance. As networks play an increasingly important role in college EE, inequality between students in the central part and those in the peripheral is on the horizon. Different from the traditional view of examining the resource advantages of centralized people, this paper proposes and tests the disadvantages of those in the peripheral on performance improvement. Moreover, it taps into the influencing mechanism of vigorously developed competition on network centrality and knowledge performance, to compensate for the disadvantages of those in the periphery. The findings show that privileges brought with central positions in networks exist, leaving people in the periphery at the disadvantage of performance improvement. Students’ competition experiences weaken the relationship between in-degree centrality and knowledge performance. Competition experiences are beneficial for students at various network positions, especially for those in the periphery. This study proposes a framework of integrating the mode of “learning by doing” in networks in class and students’ competition experiences after school, enabling future studies to tap into the correction mechanism of competition trend in inequality in network structures. Aim. The aim of this paper is to closely analyse the fluctuation of the number of participating teams for each age category at juniors' level in all 3 competitional seasons held under the sign of the restrictions imposed in connection with the coronavirus pandemic. The coronavirus pandemic severely affected the sports' world, leading to the postponement of major sport events, including the Olympic Games, but also the cancellation of most competitions around the world, regardless of the sport. Methods. To analyze the impact on handball for juniors in Romania, the number of participating teams and withdrawals teams, as well as the form of competitions' organization during 3 competitional season was compared (2019-2020, 2020-2021, 2021-2022), both in the male and female sectors for Juniors 1 - Under 19, Juniors 2 - Under 17, Juniors 3 - Under 15. Results. The return to a handball life closer to normal was achieved with the start of the 2021-2022 competitional season. The new COVID conditions imposed for participation at the beginning of 2021-2022 season encouraged the teams to re-register and there was a clear increase in the participation in each Juniors' category. In this season, a total number of 309 teams participated in the competitions held for juniors in Romania: 84 participants in Juniors 1 (Under 19) competitions, 91 participants in Juniors 2 (Under 17) competitions and 134 participants in Juniors 3 (Under 15) competitions. The number means an increase of 109 teams in the current season, comaring with 2020-2021 season, but still a reduced number of teams compared with 2019-2020, a season that started without any restrictions. Aim. Technical-tactical improvement of the actions preferred by fencers in the individualized lesson for an efficient use in competitions. Methods. 8 female fencers aged 14-16 years participated in the research. Physical test batteries were conducted at the beginning and at the end of the competitive year 2021-2022. Fitness tests included: physical training tests: SL - Standing long jump (cm); D - Spring; FA - Abdominal strength (reps / 1 minute); FG - Squat to lunge (reps/1 minute). Technical-tactical training tests: A.D. - Direct attacks (straight); A.C. - Compound attacks (intention 2), P.R. - Parry and Riposte. Performance level tests (indices): V.T. - Group stage victories; T.D. - Touches scored; T.P. - Touches received; V.E.D. - Direct elimination victories; R. - Direct result in competitions (C1) - Romanian Cup 2021; C2 - Satu Mare Cup 2022; C3 - Cadet Championship 2022. The coaches focused on 4 models of individual lessons, strongly customizing the reps number and the movement types percentage (offensive or defensive) for each subject. In order to check the evolution of athletes and their technical-tactical progress, 4 competitions were used as fitness tests. Results. The comparative analysis results of physical preparation highlight an increase of 4.25 cm in SL (p>0.05) and 1.37 cm in vertical jump height (p<0.05), an increase by 2 reps in abdominal strength (p<0.01) and an improvement by 1.75 reps in squat to lunge (p<0.05). Comparative analysis of technical-tactical preparation indices across the three competitions reveals a decrease by 2.37 reps in A.D. at C2 and 0.38 reps at C3 (p>0.05), a decrease by 2.37 reps in A.C. at C2 and an increase by one A.D. at C3 (p>0.05), a decrease by 5 reps in parry and riposte at C2 and 3 reps at C3. Performance level results show equal victories in group stages (p>0.05), a decrease by 1.25 points in T.D. (p>0.05) and an increase by 6.62 points in T.P. (p<0.05). Regarding VED, there is an increase by 0.75 points in T.D. and 1.87 points in T.P. There are 62.12 points - total direct eliminations, variation of homogeneity (p<0.001) and between indices (p>0.05). Direct competition results show an increase by 4.58 points at C2 and a decrease by 11.98 points at C3, variation of homogeneity (p<0.01) and between competitions (p>0.05). Conclusions. The results highlight the positive impact of specific training methods and the necessity for a personalized approach in fencers' training, emphasizing continuous adaptation and monitoring to optimize performance. The Asian tapir Tapirus indicus population has decreased as a result of habitat destruction and degradation, illegal hunting and negative human–tapir interactions. Although this species is categorized as Endangered on the IUCN Red List and is a protected species in Indonesia, where it occurs on Sumatra, studies of its ecology and behaviour and of interactions with people remain limited. We investigated the characteristics of local communities around tapir habitat in Batang Gadis National Park and the interactions of people with tapirs, and assessed the potential for future negative interactions. This study took place in March and October 2021 in Sopotinjak and Pagar Gunung villages. We conducted interviews, using questionnaires, amongst local communities that are familiar with tapirs. The communities belong to the Mandailing Tribe, comprising farmers that frequently access the adjacent forest to support their livelihoods. Local people need protein from animals, but they do not hunt the tapir. Negative human–tapir interactions could potentially increase in the future if tapir browsing intensity in community gardens increases and farmers suffer significant economic losses. We encourage Batang Gadis National Park authorities to develop a human–tapir co-existence management system and to protect tapir habitat.

Social enterprises in Turkey have been increasing in number since their establishment in 2015. Various support programs and competitions are organized to encourage social entrepreneurship in Turkey. The study investigates the competitions held in Turkey between 2015 and 2022, specifically, the impact of design in social entrepreneurship competitions in Turkey, competitions organized by universities, public institutions, foundations/associations, and international support organizations. The literature shows that the awarded projects in the social entrepreneurship competitions are generally concentrated in areas such as environmental sustainability, support for disadvantaged groups, and local production. These projects show that design is used for empowerment, awareness raising, participatory practices, and local to global value creation. The essential findings of the study illumine possible ways in which design can be used in social entrepreneurship and can serve as a guide to future social enterprise projects. As a result, the critical role of design in supporting social entrepreneurship is highlighted, and a valuable perspective on the impact of design in social entrepreneurship competitions in Turkey is provided. It provides information about the participants of sports competitions, competitive-educational and entertaining-creative programmes. The authors emphasize that the importance of the professional component of the festival becomes more serious and diverse.

The administrative contract is considered a means by which the administrative body uses it to manage the affairs of public facilities and cover what it needs for that purpose. One of the most important stages it goes through is the stage of opening and examining bids. The Saudi Government Competition and Procurement Law have established dedicated committees for those who open bids and examine bids for that purpose, and the role of the bid examination committee is to recommend awarding the contract to the bidder who wins the competition, and then the award decision is issued by the person with the authority. Here comes the problem regarding the award decision. Is it considered an acceptance on the part of management that matches the offer of the bidder, or is it merely an announcement and acknowledgment of the bidder's entitlement to the contract and remains the contract is not concluded until it is written and signed by all parties. Here, this study came to address this aspect and clarify what is the position of the legal text on this, and what is the position of the Saudi administrative judiciary on it. It was organized into an introduction, a preface, four sections, and a conclusion that included the most important results, including The Saudi administrative judiciary considers the awarding decision to be an acceptance by the administration and completion of the contract, and that the awarding decision can be appealed by cancellation like the rest of the administration's decisions. This study recommended that the text of the Competitions and Procurement Law be amended and the ambiguity and lack of clarity in this part be removed. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Experience with career guidance for schoolchildren as part of a long-term strategy for cooperation with the region's educational institutions is described here. The system of career guidance established today at PAO Koks will improve the prestige of the engineering professions in the Kemerovo region of Kuznetsk Basin, attract students to work at the plant, and provide high-quality professional training for young scientists.
