As a prominent maritime and shipping power, our nation is actively engaged in the development of a formidable maritime and transportation infrastructure. The enactment of the “Maritime Silk Road” strategy, coupled with the growing expansion of maritime transport, necessitates the urgent formation of a commensurate maritime firefighting force to elevate readiness against significant emergent incidents at sea. The construction of evaluative indicators for maritime firefighting capabilities is crucial in advancing these capabilities further. This advancement is pivotal for enhancing service to national strategies, preserving national sovereignty and maritime security, and for engaging deeply in the governance of global maritime affairs.

Metal–organic frameworks (MOFs) are considered as a promising candidate for advancing energy storage owing to their intrinsic multi‐channel architecture, high theoretical capacity, and precise adjustability. However, the low conductivity and poor structural stability lead to unsatisfactory rate and cycling performance, greatly hindering their practical application. Herein, we propose a sea urchin‐like Co‐ZIF‐L superstructure using molecular template to induce self‐assembly followed by ion exchange method, which shows improved conductivity, successive channels, and high stability. The ion exchange can gradually etch the superstructure, leading to the reconstruction of Co‐ZIF‐L with three‐dimensional (3D) cross‐linked ultrathin porous nanosheets. Moreover, the precise control of Co to Ni ratios can construct effective micro‐electric field and synergistically enhance the rapid transfer of electrons and electrolyte ions, improving the conductivity and stability of CoNi‐ZIF‐L. The Co6.53Ni‐ZIF‐L electrode exhibits a high specific capacity (602 F g−1 at 1 A g−1) and long cycling stability (95.3 % retention after 4,000 cycles at 5 A g−1). The Co6.53Ni‐ZIF‐L//AC asymmetric flexible supercapacitor employing gel electrolyte also exhibits excellent cycling stability (93.3 % retention after 4000 cycles at 5 A g−1). It is expected that composites made of carbon nanotubes (CNT) and copper (Cu) display both mechanical and electrical properties, but the low damage dispersion and high-quality composite of high-content CNTs have always been research difficulties. In this paper, high-content CNTs/Cu composites were prepared. The effects of the sintering method, sintering temperature, directional rolling and the CNTs' content on the relative density, hardness and electrical conductivity of the composites were studied. The uniform dispersion of high-content CNTs in Cu matrix was achieved by ball milling, sintering and rolling, and the processes did not cause more damage to the CNTs. The properties of composites prepared by spark plasma sintering (SPS) and vacuum hot pressing sintering (HPS) were compared, and the optimum process parameters of SPS were determined. When the CNTs' content is 2 wt.%, the hardness is 134.9 HBW, which is still 2.3 times that of pure Cu, and the conductivity is the highest, reaching 78.4%IACS. Scientific quantitative measurement of the coupling relationship between urban population (UP) and urban land (UL) is conducive to promoting intensive land use, coordinated human–land development, and new urbanization development. This research proposed an improved coupling model of polar coordinates to study the spatiotemporal coupling characteristics between UP and UL at the prefecture-level city scale in China from 2010 to 2020. The study results include the following: (1) The growth rate of UL in China's prefecture-level cities was higher than that of UP. The per capita urban land (PUL) was always within the ideal range, and the dynamic human–land coupling state remained reasonable. (2) The UP, UL, and dynamic human–land coupling rationality in China showed characteristics that were high in the east and low in the west. The PUL showed characteristics that were high in the northwest and low in the southeast. (3) This study divided China's prefecture-level cities into four regions according to the coupling characteristics and formulated regionally differentiated optimization strategies. In summary, this study carried out a more scientific and reasonable quantitative measurement of the coupling relationship between UP and UL in China, resulting in a more reliable and targeted formulation of optimization strategies. Intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH) poses a formidable challenge in stroke management, with limited therapeutic options, particularly in the realm of immune‐targeted interventions. Clinical trials targeting immune responses post‐ICH have encountered setbacks, potentially attributable to the substantial cellular heterogeneity and intricate intercellular networks within the brain. Here, we present a pioneering investigation utilizing single‐cell RNA sequencing and spatial transcriptome profiling at hyperacute (1 h), acute (24 h), and subacute (7 days) intervals post‐ICH, aimed at unraveling the dynamic immunological landscape and spatial distributions within the cerebral tissue. Our comprehensive analysis revealed distinct cell differentiation patterns among myeloid and lymphocyte populations, along with delineated spatial distributions across various brain regions. Notably, we identified a subset of lymphocytes characterized by the expression of Spp1 and Lyz2, termed macrophage‐associated lymphocytes, which exhibited close interactions with myeloid cells. Specifically, we observed prominent interactions between Lgmn+Macro‐T cells and microglia through the spp1–cd44 pathway during the acute phase post‐ICH in the choroid plexus. These findings represent a significant advancement in our understanding of immune cell dynamics at single‐cell resolution across distinct post‐ICH time points, thereby laying the groundwork for exploring critical temporal windows and informing the development of targeted therapeutic strategies. Simple Summary: This study investigated the resistance of Hibiscus mutabilis varieties to the whitefly Bemisia tabaci. It identified the highly resistant variety Jinqiusong (JQS) and moderately resistant Bairihuacai (BRHC), which showed significantly lower B. tabaci populations than the susceptible variety Chongbanbai (CBB). Metabolomic analysis revealed that fifteen key metabolites are linked to resistance, with the phenylpropanoid biosynthesis pathway being critical in defense. Additionally, volatile compounds emitted by the resistant varieties deterred the pest's behavior. The findings offer a theoretical basis for breeding insect-resistant H. mutabilis varieties, providing a sustainable strategy for managing B. tabaci infestations. Hibiscus mutabilis, the city flower of Chengdu, is culturally significant and has nutritional and medicinal benefits. However, frequent infestations of Bemisia tabaci have caused economic losses. This study aimed to identify insect-resistant H. mutabilis varieties. Over two years, varieties like Jinqiusong, Zuiyun, and Zuifurong showed moderate to high resistance based on reproductive indices. Assessments of antixenosis and developmental impacts revealed that adult B. tabaci exhibited low selectivity toward these resistant varieties, indicating a strong repellent effect. Gas chromatography-mass spectrometry analysis identified volatile organic compounds, such as alcohols, alkanes, and terpenes. Notably, 2-ethylhexanol and 6-methylheptanol exhibited repellent properties. Using nontargeted metabolomics, this study compared the metabolite profiles of the insect-resistant variety Jinqiusong (JQS), moderately resistant Bairihuacai (BRHC), and highly susceptible Chongbanbai (CBB) post B. tabaci infestation. Fifteen key metabolites were linked to resistance, emphasizing the phenylpropanoid biosynthesis pathway as crucial in defense. China enacted the Anti‐Monopoly Law in 2008. This law is deemed a milestone of competition policy to improve market efficiency in the country. This paper builds a theoretical model and applies a difference‐in‐differences method using a firm‐level dataset of the 1998–2015 period to examine the impact of this law on firm productivity. We show that the enactment of this law significantly increased the total factor productivity (TFP) of the firms. The results are shown to be robust across alternative definitions of the treatment variable and alternative measures of productivity. Finally, we show that the productivity effect of this law tends to be stronger among state‐owned enterprises than private/foreign firms and large firms than small firms. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Research on the lithospheric elastic thickness (Te) of lunar mascon basins can provide a deeper understanding of heterogeneous thermal activity. In this study, we focused on four basins (Moscoviense, Freundlich‐Sharonov, Hertzsprung, and Apollo) located on the far side of the Moon. These basins exhibit a significant variation in admittance and correlation spectra, making it challenging to develop precise fitted models. Based on the global lunar crustal thickness model and mare basalt thickness, we developed a mantle and mare basalt load model to estimate the Te. This small Te (10.1 km) suggests a double impact process or extreme thermal activity caused by volcanism during the formation of the Moscoviense. For the typical highland basins, that is, Freundlich‐Sharonov and Hertzsprung, the Te (∼20 km) corresponds to a minimum heat flux of 34 mW m−2. Considering the additional energy introduced by the impact, this heat flux can be considered as the upper limit for the heat flux of the highland itself during the formation of a mascon basin. For the Apollo basin within the South Pole‐Aitken (SPA) terrane, the Te is 30.7 km. The crust beneath the SPA region is thinned, allowing a greater contribution of stiffer mantle material to the lithosphere, perhaps explaining the higher effective Te. Furthermore, the disparity between the highland and SPA terranes can give rise to their distinct basin formation processes. Impact basins formed within the SPA terrane may have experienced a faster cooling process compared to those formed on the highland terrane following the impact event, leading to a higher Te. Plain Language Summary: The study of impact basins on the far side of the moon not only provides valuable insights into the strength of the early growth stage of the lithosphere but also gives a glimpse into the different thermal evolution histories of the lunar highland and the South Pole‐Aitken (SPA). In this study, we construct a lithospheric load model by incorporating the contributions of both mantle plug and mare basalts. The proposed model is applied to the four typical mascon (mass concentration) basins. The smaller elastic thickness of the Moscoviense basin may be attributed to a double shock process or intense thermal activity. The Nectarian Hertzsprung basin is younger than the Pre‐Nectarian Freundlich‐Sharonov basin on the highland. However, the two basins exhibit similar elastic thickness, indicating that the latter have either a slow cooling rate or rapid completion of the super‐isostatic adjustment process. The difference in elastic thickness between the Apollo and the highland basins such as the Freundlich‐Sharonov and Hertzsprung basins could be attributed to variations in geological composition, density, and porosity between the SPA and the highland terrane. This study investigates parameter estimation (PE) to enhance climate forecasts of a coupled general circulation model by adjusting the background vertical diffusivity coefficients in its ocean component. These parameters were initially identified through sensitivity experiments and subsequently estimated by assimilating the sea surface temperature and temperature–salinity profiles. This study expands the coupled data assimilation system of the Community Earth System Model (CESM) and the ensemble adjustment Kalman filter (EAKF) to enable parameter estimation. PE experiments were performed to establish balanced initial states and adjusted parameters for forecasting the El Niño–Southern Oscillation (ENSO). Comparing the model states between the PE experiment and a state estimation (SE) experiment revealed that PE can significantly reduce the uncertainty of these parameters and improve the quality of analysis. The forecasts obtained from PE and SE experiments further validate that PE has the potential to improve the forecast skill for ENSO. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Aqueous Zn–I2 batteries have considerable potential owing to their environmental friendliness and high safety. However, the slow iodine conversion kinetics and shuttle effect prevent their practical applicability. In this study, a series of Zn‐MOF‐74 rods with controllable diameters of 40–500 nm are facilely prepared, denoted as P1–P5. A size confinement strategy effect of Zn‐MOF‐74 derived porous carbon as iodine hosts is proposed to suppress the formation of undesirable iodine species, such as I3− and I5−. Moreover, the graphitization degree of porous carbon samples, including P2‐900, P2‐1000, and P2‐1100, play a critical effect on the iodine conversion kinetics. The P2‐1000 sample possesses a high conductive skeleton and abundant mesopores, which improve the adsorption ability toward iodine species. The electrochemical tests and the in situ technology reveal the size confinement strategy effect and the conversion mechanism of iodine. As a result, the I2@P2‐1000 cathode exhibits a superior discharge capacity of 179.9 mA h g−1 at 100 mA g−1 and exceptional long‐term cycle ability after 5000 cycles. Furthermore, the soft batteries and the flexible quasi‐solid‐state batteries are capable of powering devices, promising to exhibit tremendous adaptability and realize flexible electronic devices in various scenarios. Malaria remains a significant global health challenge due to the growing drug resistance of Plasmodium parasites and the failure to block transmission within human host. While machine learning (ML) and deep learning (DL) methods have shown promise in accelerating antimalarial drug discovery, the performance of deep learning models based on molecular graph and other co-representation approaches warrants further exploration. Current research has overlooked mutant strains of the malaria parasite with varying degrees of sensitivity or resistance, and has not covered the prediction of inhibitory activities across the three major life cycle stages (liver, asexual blood, and gametocyte) within the human host, which is crucial for both treatment and transmission blocking. In this study, we manually curated a benchmark antimalarial activity dataset comprising 407,404 unique compounds and 410,654 bioactivity data points across ten Plasmodium phenotypes and three stages. The performance was systematically compared among two fingerprint-based ML models (RF::Morgan and XGBoost:Morgan), four graph-based DL models (GCN, GAT, MPNN, and Attentive FP), and three co-representations DL models (FP-GNN, HiGNN, and FG-BERT), which reveal that: 1) The FP-GNN model achieved the best predictive performance, outperforming the other methods in distinguishing active and inactive compounds across balanced, more positive, and more negative datasets, with an overall AUROC of 0.900; 2) Fingerprint-based ML models outperformed graph-based DL models on large datasets (>1000 compounds), but the three co-representations DL models were able to incorporate domain-specific chemical knowledge to bridge this gap, achieving better predictive performance. These findings provide valuable guidance for selecting appropriate ML and DL methods for antimalarial activity prediction tasks. The interpretability analysis of the FP-GNN model revealed its ability to accurately capture the key structural features responsible for the liver- and blood-stage activities of the known antimalarial drug atovaquone. The design of mutifunctional protein films for large-area spatially ordered arrays of functional components holds great promise in the field of biomedical applications. Herein, interfacial electrostatic self-assembly was employed to construct a large-scale protein thin film by inducing electrostatic interactions between three bovine serum albumin (BSA)-coated nanoclusters and cetyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTAB), leading to their spontaneous organization and uniform distribution at the oil-water interface. This protein film demonstrated excellent multienzyme functions, high antibacterial activity, and pH-responsive drug release capability. Therefore, it can accelerate the wound closure process through a synergistic effect that includes reducing local blood glucose levels, regulating cellular oxidative stress, eradicating bacteria, and promoting cell proliferation.

Due to shortcomings such as poor homogeneity of Al doping, precisely controlling the thickness, inability to conformally deposit on high aspect ratio devices and high pinhole rate, the applications of Al-doped ZnO (AZO) nanomembrane in integrated optoelectronic devices are remarkably influenced. Here, we report in situ monitoring during the atomic layer deposition (ALD) of AZO nanomembrane by using an integrated spectroscopic ellipsometer. AZO nanomembranes with different compositions were deposited with real-time and precise atomic level monitoring of the deposition process. We specifically investigate the half-reaction and thickness evolution during the ALD processes and the influence of the chamber temperature is also disclosed. Structural characterizations demonstrate that the obtained AZO nanomembranes without any post-treatment are uniform, dense and pinhole-free. The transmittances of the nanomembranes in visible range are >94%, and the optimal conductivity can reach up to 1210 S cm -1 . Intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH) is a severe stroke subtype with limited therapeutic options. Programmed cell death (PCD) is crucial for immunological balance, and includes necroptosis, pyroptosis, apoptosis, ferroptosis, and necrosis. However, the distinctions between these programmed cell death modalities after ICH remain to be further investigated. We used single-cell transcriptome (single-cell RNA sequencing) and spatial transcriptome (spatial RNA sequencing) techniques to investigate PCD-related gene expression trends in the rat brain following hemorrhagic stroke. Ferroptosis was the main PCD process after ICH, and primarily affected mature oligodendrocytes. Its onset occurred as early as 1 hour post-ICH, peaking at 24 hours post-ICH. Additionally, ferroptosis-related genes were distributed in the hippocampus and choroid plexus. We also elucidated a specific interaction between lipocalin-2 (LCN2)-positive microglia and oligodendrocytes that was mediated by the colony stimulating factor 1 (CSF1)/CSF1 receptor pathway, leading to ferroptosis induction in oligodendrocytes and subsequent neurological deficits. In conclusion, our study highlights ferroptosis as the primary PCD mechanism, emerging as early as 1 hour post-ICH. Early therapeutic intervention via the suppression of microglial LCN2 expression may alleviate ferroptosis-induced damage in oligodendrocytes and associated neurological deficits, thus offering a promising neuroprotective strategy following ICH., Competing Interests: Competing Interests: The authors have declared that no competing interest exists., (© The author(s).)

Adrenocortical carcinoma (ACC) is a malignancy with a poor prognosis and high mortality rate. A high tumor mutational burden (TMB) has been found to be associated with poor prognosis in ACC. Thus, exploring ACC biomarkers based on TMB holds significant importance for patient risk stratification. In our research, we utilized weighted gene coexpression network analysis and an assay for transposase-accessible chromatin with high-throughput sequencing to identify genes associated with TMB. Through the comprehensive analysis of various public datasets, Lamin B1 (LMNB1) was identified as a biomarker associated with a high TMB and low chromatin accessibility. Immunohistochemical staining demonstrated high expression of LMNB1 in ACC compared to noncancerous tissues. Functional enrichment analyses revealed that the function of LMNB1 is associated with cell proliferation and division. Furthermore, cell assays suggested that LMNB1 promotes tumor proliferation and invasion. In addition, mutation analysis suggested that the high expression of LMNB1 is associated with TP53 mutations. Additionally, LMNB1 was highly expressed in the vast majority of solid tumors across cancers. In our immune analysis, we discovered that the high expression of LMNB1 might suppress the infiltration of CD8+ T cells in the ACC microenvironment. In summary, LMNB1 is a predictive factor for the poor prognosis of adult and pediatric ACC. Its high expression in ACC is positively associated with high TMB and lower chromatin accessibility, and it promotes ACC cell proliferation and invasion. Therefore, LMNB1 holds promise as a novel biomarker and potential therapeutic target for ACC.
