Abstract

The article describes the case of a 30-year-old Caucasian woman with an eight-month history of fatigue and malaise, along with interscapular pain and upper limb and jaw claudication over the last three weeks. Topics discussed include findings on physical examination, fundamental techniques in the diagnosis and follow-up of large-vessel vasculitis (LVV), and main limitation of fluorodeoxyglucose- positron emission tomography (FDG-PET).
