Objective To analyze the clinical and pathological factors affecting pathological complete response (pCR) of triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) after neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NAC). Methods A retrospective analysis was conducted in 78 TNBC patients treated with NAC and surgery in The First Affiliated Hospital of Xinjiang Medical University from January 2018 to September 2023. The patients were divided into pCR group (n=28) and non-pCR group (n=50) based on whether they had achieved pCR or not. Logistic regression analysis was used to investigate the clinical and pathological factors affecting pCR. The pCR rate and incidence of adverse reactions after NAC between TP regimen (taxane+platinum) and TAC regimen (taxane+anthracycline+cyclophosphamide) were compared. Results The overall pCR rate was 35.9%. There were statistically significant differences between the two groups of patients in tumor diameter, chemotherapy cycle, chemotherapy regimen, paclitaxel type, human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER-2) expression, Ki-67 expression, and androgen receptor (AR) positive expression (P＞0.05). Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that tumor diameter ≤ 3 cm was an independent favorable factor of pCR(OR=4.191, 95%CI: 1.246-14.094, P=0.021), and AR positive expression was an independent unfavorable factor of pCR (OR=0.124, 95%CI: 0.020-0.784, P=0.027). In addition, the pCR rate of the TP regimen was significantly better than that of the TAC regimen ［54.8%(17/31) vs 28.1%(9/32), χ2=4.636, P=0.031］, and there was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between two groups (P＞0.05). Conclusion TP or TAC regimen and albumin bound paclitaxel in NAC for TNBC is beneficial for achieving pCR status, but the pCR rate of TP regimen is better than that of TAC regimen, and the incidence of adverse reactions is comparable. The pCR rate is higher for tumor diameter≤3 cm, while low expression of HER-2, Ki-67, or AR indicates a lower pCR rate. AR positive expression is an independent unfavorable factor of pCR.

Aims: To synthesize the evidence of interventions based on salutogenesis for older adults. Background: With the increasing tendency of global ageing and the progression of 'healthy ageing', salutogenesis has been adopted as a framework of health promotion for older adults. Design: An integrative review following PRISMA guidelines. Data Sources: Seven databases including PubMed, Cochrane Library, Web of Science, Embase, Scopus, PsycINFO and CINAHL Plus were systematically searched on 29 September 2022 and updated on 18 July 2023. Results: Eighteen eligible studies were included in this review. Salutogenic‐based interventions fell into three main categories: dialogue‐based, health education courses based, and goal setting and achievement based. The intervention doses: length ranged from 4 weeks to 2 years, with most (n = 12) within 12 weeks; the duration of each session ranged from 30 to 150 min, with the majority (n = 7) within 1 h; the frequency ranged from five times weekly to three times in 10 months, and in six studies was once a week. Intervention providers were mostly multidisciplinary teams, while in four studies were nurses only. Most of the studies reported that salutogenic‐based interventions could improve older adults' sense of coherence, quality of life, self‐efficacy, self‐management, meaning of life and mental health. Conclusions: This review synthesized the interventions based on salutogenesis for older adults, including salutogenesis application, intervention and its doses, intervention settings and providers, and intervention effects. Future research on the effectiveness of the intervention, the optimal dose of the intervention and the underlying mechanisms are still necessary to understand salutogenic‐based interventions. Objectives: To identify the associated factors of self-neglect in older adults from a salutogenic perspective., Methods: A cross-sectional correlational study was conducted in two communities in Beijing with 486 older adults recruited from April to December 2022. Data were collected by a set of questionnaires., Results: Sense of coherence (β=-0.138), socio-demographic generalized resistance resources (GRRs) (smoking: β=0.156), social GRRs (living alone: β=0.093), psychological GRRs (self-esteem: β=-0.126), and motivational GRRs (powerful others locus of control: β=-0.199, chance locus of control: β=0.119) were all associated with self-neglect among older adults (p<0.05)., Conclusions: Sense of coherence and GRRs are vital to improve self-neglect in older adults. The α-tubulin subtype, Tubulin α-1b chain (TUBA1B), has been shown to influence immune cell infiltration, cancer growth, and survival across various malignancies. However, a comprehensive study has not yet been undertaken examining the immunological and predictive effects of TUBA1B in a pan-carcinoma context. Using data from TCGA, GEO, and other databases, we analyzed TUBA1B expression across various carcinoma types using transcriptional profiling, prognostic implications, genetic and epigenetic alterations, methylation patterns, and immunological significance. To validate our findings, we conducted Western blot analysis to assess TUBA1B protein levels in matched breast cancer tissue samples and performed CCK-8 proliferation assay, flow cytometry, transwell invasion, and migration assays to comprehensively examine the functional impact of TUBA1B on breast cancer cells. Our pan-cancer analysis found TUBA1B upregulation across most tumor types, with varying expression patterns in distinct immune and molecular subtypes. High TUBA1B expression was an independent risk factor and associated with poor prognoses in several cancers, including BRCA, KICH, LGG, LUAD, and MESO. TUBA1B also demonstrates moderate to high diagnostic accuracy in most tumor types. Increased m6A methylation levels were observed in the TUBA1B gene, while its promoter region displayed low methylation levels. TUBA1B's expression impacted some cancers by elevating tumor mutation burden, microsatellite instability, neoantigen formation, immune cell infiltration, and the modulation of immune checkpoints. Functional enrichment analysis highlights TUBA1B's involvement in important cellular processes such as the cell cycle, p53 signaling, cell senescence, programmed cell death, and the regulation of immune-related pathways. Moreover, our study reveals higher TUBA1B protein expression in breast cancer tissues compared to adjacent tissues. In vitro experiments confirm that TUBA1B deletion reduces breast cancer cell proliferation, invasion, and migration while increasing apoptosis. In conclusion, our study suggests that TUBA1B could potentially serve as a diagnostic marker for predicting cancer immunological profiles and survival outcomes and shed light on the expression and role of TUBA1B in breast cancer, providing a solid foundation for considering it as a promising therapeutic target for breast cancer patient treatment., (© 2024.
