Objective: To explore the optimal models for predicting the formation of high-quality embryos in Poor Ovarian Response (POR) Patients with Progestin-Primed Ovarian Stimulation (PPOS) using machine learning algorithms. Methods: A retrospective analysis was conducted on the clinical data of 4,216 POR cycles who underwent in vitro fertilization (IVF) / intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) at Sichuan Jinxin Xinan Women and Children's Hospital from January 2015 to December 2021. Based on the presence of high-quality cleavage embryos 72 h post-fertilization, the samples were divided into the high-quality cleavage embryo group (N = 1950) and the non-high-quality cleavage embryo group (N = 2266). Additionally, based on whether high-quality blastocysts were observed following full blastocyst culture, the samples were categorized into the high-quality blastocyst group (N = 124) and the non-high-quality blastocyst group (N = 1800). The factors influencing the formation of high-quality embryos were analyzed using logistic regression. The predictive models based on machine learning methods were constructed and evaluated accordingly. Results: Differential analysis revealed that there are statistically significant differences in 14 factors between high-quality and non-high-quality cleavage embryos. Logistic regression analysis identified 14 factors as influential in forming high-quality cleavage embryos. In models excluding three variables (retrieved oocytes, MII oocytes, and 2PN fertilized oocytes), the XGBoost model performed slightly better (AUC = 0.672, 95% CI = 0.636–0.708). Conversely, in models including these three variables, the Random Forest model exhibited the best performance (AUC = 0.788, 95% CI = 0.759–0.818). In the analysis of high-quality blastocysts, significant differences were found in 17 factors. Logistic regression analysis indicated that 13 factors influence the formation of high-quality blastocysts. Including these variables in the predictive model, the XGBoost model showed the highest performance (AUC = 0.813, 95% CI = 0.741–0.884). Conclusion: We developed a predictive model for the formation of high-quality embryos using machine learning methods for patients with POR undergoing treatment with the PPOS protocol. This model can help infertility patients better understand the likelihood of forming high-quality embryos following treatment and help clinicians better understand and predict treatment outcomes, thus facilitating more targeted and effective interventions. A type of Al-MCM-41 supported dual imidazolium ionic liquids were constructed and efficiently used as catalysts for the synthesis of 2-oxazolidinones from epoxides, amines, and CO2. The influence of the different catalysts and reaction parameters on the catalytic behaviours was investigated. Al-MCM-41@ILTiCl5 was identified as the most excellent catalyst because it could efficiently promote the three-component cycloaddition of CO2, epoxide, and amines to form the corresponding 2-oxazolidinones in high to excellent yields (84∼96%) with excellent selectivities (98∼99.7%). In addition, the recovery and reuse performances of Al-MCM-41@ILTiCl5 were examined. The catalyst could be recovered by simple filtration and reused six times without a change in the catalytic activity. Green reaction conditions, operational simplicity, feasibility, and sustainability of the functionalized catalyst are the main highlights of the present protocol. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The efficient conversion of CO2 into value-added chemicals is of great importance. Herein, a type of transition metal-doped MCM-41 supported ionic liquids were synthesized, and efficiently used as catalysts for the effective carboxylative cyclization of propargylic alcohols and CO2 into α-alkylidene cyclic carbonates. The supported catalyst Cu-MCM-41@ILTiCl5 with a synergistic effect between the active copper sites and the anion could efficiently promote the carboxylative cyclization of propargylic alcohols and CO2 in high to excellent yields. After the reaction, the catalyst could be easily separated from the reaction mixture by simple centrifugation, and then reused for six times without noticeable decrease in the catalytic activity.These findings may be useful for the rational design of novel highly active and efficient catalysts for the transformation of CO2 into value-added α-alkylidene cyclic carbonates. An efficient protocol has been developed for producingα-alkylidene cyclic carbonates in excellent yields under cocatalyst- and solvent-free conditions by treating propargylic alcohols with carbon dioxide, promoted by Cu-MCM-41 supported ionic liquid catalyst. Due to a robust emission control policy, significant reductions in major air pollutants, such as PM 2.5 , SO 2 , NO 2 , and CO, were observed in China between 2015 and 2020. On the other hand, during the same period, there was a notable increase in ozone (O 3) concentrations, making it a prominent air pollutant in eastern China. The annual mean concentration of maximum daily 8 h average (MDA8) O 3 exhibited alarming linear increases of 2.4, 1.1, and 2.0 ppb yr -1 (ppb is for parts per billion) in three megacity clusters: Beijing–Tianjin–Hebei (BTH), the Yangtze River Delta (YRD), and the Pearl River Delta (PRD), respectively. Meanwhile, there was a significant 3-fold increase in the number of O 3 -exceeding days, defined as MDA8 O 3 > 75 ppb. Our analysis indicated that the upward increases in the annual mean concentration of MDA8 were primarily driven by the rise in consecutive O 3 -exceeding days. There were expansions of high O 3 in urban centers to rural areas accompanied by a saturation effect so that MDA8 O 3 concentrations at the high-O 3 stations in 2015 remained nearly constant at 100 ppb. Last, we found a close association between O 3 episodes with 4 or more consecutive O 3 -exceeding days and the position and strength of tropical cyclones (TCs) in the northwest Pacific and the West Pacific subtropical high (WPSH). The TC and WPSH contributed to meteorological conditions characterized by clear skies, subsiding air motion, high vertical stability in the lower troposphere, increased solar radiation, and a positive temperature anomaly at the surface. These favorable meteorological conditions greatly facilitated the formation of O 3. Thus, we propose that the worsening O 3 increases observed in the BTH, YRD, and PRD regions from 2015 to 2020 can be mostly attributed to enhanced photochemical O 3 production resulting from an increased occurrence of meteorological conditions with high solar radiation and positive temperature anomalies under the influence of the WPSH and TCs.
