Rare earth and transition metal ion-doped CaZnOS has garnered significant attention for its exceptional mechanoluminescence (ML) performance under mild mechanical stimuli and its capability for multicolor emissions. Since powdered phosphors are not directly usable, they require encapsulation within with polymers to create stable structures. This study investigates Mn2+-doped CaZnOS (CaZnOS:Mn2+) as the ML phosphor, optimizing its performance by varying the Mn2+ content, resulting in bright orange-red emissions from the d-d transitions of the Mn2+ activator. A quantum efficiency of 59.08% was achieved through the self-sensitization of the matrix lattice and energy transfer to the Mn2+ luminescent centers. The enhancement in ML due to Mn2+ doping is attributed to the reduced trap depth and increased trap concentration. Encapsulation with four polymers—PDMS, PU, SIL, and RTV-2—was explored to further optimize ML performance. Among these, PDMS provides the best ML output and sensitivity, owing to its slightly cross-linked structure and good triboelectric properties. The optimized CaZnOS:0.03Mn2+/PDMS composite, featuring excellent flexibility and recoverability, shows great potential for applications in anti-counterfeiting encryption, stress sensors, and wearable devices. Background: Despite a great deal of existing research on nurses' job stress and intention to stay, it is still unclear how the association between Chinese nurses' job stress and intention to stay is affected by presenteeism and family functioning. Aims: This study aimed to investigate the correlations of Chinese nurses' job stress, presenteeism, and family functioning with their intention to stay and clarify the mediating effect of presenteeism and the moderating effect of family functioning on the association between their job stress and intention to stay. Method: A cross-sectional study of 1,008 nurses was performed in a major general hospital in Qiqihar City, Heilongjiang Province, China. The participants were invited to engage in a questionnaire survey regarding job stress, presenteeism, family functioning, and intention to stay. A moderated mediation analysis was conducted through multiple linear regression analysis and the PROCESS macro. Results: Job stress and presenteeism were negatively correlated with intention to stay, whereas family functioning was positively correlated with intention to stay. The effect of job stress on intention to stay was partially mediated by presenteeism (Effect = −0.147, 95% CI = [−0.305, −0.003]). In addition, family functioning moderated the direct effect of job stress on intention to stay (Index = −0.134, 95% CI = [−0.274, −0.001]). Conclusions: Presenteeism and family functioning were found to play mediating and moderating roles, respectively, in the relationship between job stress and intention to stay. Relevant interventions or family-friendly programs should be developed to enhance nurses' intention to stay. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Soil carbon content and stability are primarily influenced by the stabilization of particulate organic matter (POM) and mineral-associated organic matter (MAOM). Despite extensive research on the stabilization processes of POM and MAOM carbon components under various land-use types, the investigation into stabilization processes of soil carbon remains limited in saline–alkali soils. Therefore, we collected soil samples from different positions of saline–alkali drainage ditches at four reclamation times (the first, seventh, fifteenth, and thirtieth year) to determine their carbon content and physicochemical properties. Moreover, POM and MAOM fractions were separated from soil samples, and Fourier transform infrared spectra (FTIR) were used to investigate changes in their chemical composition. The results showed that with increasing reclamation time, the soil total carbon and soil organic carbon (SOC) contents significantly increased from 14 to 15 and 2.9 to 5.5 g kg−1, respectively. In contrast, soil inorganic carbon content significantly decreased from 11 to 9.6 g kg−1. Notably, the changes in soil carbon components following the increasing reclamation time were primarily observed in the furrow sole at a depth of 20–40 cm. While the SOC content of the POM fraction (SOCPOM) decreased significantly, the SOC content of the MAOM fraction (SOCMAOM) increased significantly. These alterations were largely dominated by drainage processes after reclamation instead of a possible conversion from SOCPOM to SOCMAOM. FTIR results revealed that MAOM was greatly influenced by the reclamation time more than POM was, but the change in both POM and MAOM contributed to an increase in soil carbon stability. Our findings will deepen the comprehension of soil carbon stabilization processes in saline–alkali drainage ditches after reclamation and offer a research framework to investigate the stability processes of soil carbon components via alterations in POM and MAOM fractions. Diaspore dispersal is crucial in shaping plant population dynamics, biodiversity, and ecosystem functions. The effect of the vegetation structure on the secondary wind dispersal of diaspores with different appendage types is not well understood. Using a wind tunnel and a high-definition video camera, we accurately measured the lift-off and dispersal velocities of diaspores from sixteen plant species across six wind velocities (2, 4, 6, 8, 10, and 12 m s−1) under six simulated vegetation structures. Vegetation structure and appendage type were pivotal factors, explaining 41.1% and 42.3% of the variance in lift-off velocity and accounting for 12.0% and 25.3% of the variability in diaspore dispersal velocity, respectively. Vegetation coverage was the main factor influencing near-surface wind velocity, and the lift-off and dispersal velocities of diaspores changed significantly when vegetation coverage exceeded 40%. Diaspores with one wing, having high lift-off velocities and low dispersal velocities, adopt the anti-long-distance wind dispersal strategy, whereas diaspores with pappus, having low lift-off velocities and high dispersal velocities, adopt the long-distance wind dispersal strategy. In contrast, diaspores with thorn, discoid, balloon, and four wings adopt the non-long-distance wind dispersal strategy, suitable for environments such as low-coverage deserts and desert steppes but not high-coverage typical steppes. This study could help comprehend the effect of the vegetation structure on the dispersal process of diaspores, which facilitate habitat restoration and biodiversity conservation of grassland and forest ecosystems. This study aims to predict financial distress in an emerging country using data on ST listed companies in China from 2001 to 2021. A new Aalen hazard model with mixed data sampling (MIDAS) is adopted to investigate the impact of monthly macroeconomic variables and quarterly financial variables on financial distress. The empirical results show that the current ratio, operating profit ratio, current capital ratio, retention ratio, profit ratio and income ratio of listed companies have a significant impact on the time-varying intensity of financial distress. The consumer price index has a negative relation with the intensity of financial distress, while the production price index and credit spreads have a positive influence. Improving the wide‐temperature operation of rechargeable batteries is crucial for boosting the adoption of electric vehicles and further advancing their application scope in harsh environments like deep ocean and space probes. Herein, recent advances in electrolyte solvation chemistry are critically summarized, aiming to address the long‐standing challenge of notable energy diminution at sub‐zero temperatures and rapid capacity degradation at elevated temperatures (>45°C). This review provides an in‐depth analysis of the fundamental mechanisms governing the Li‐ion transport process, illustrating how these insights have been effectively harnessed to synergize with high‐capacity, high‐rate electrodes. Another critical part highlights the interplay between solvation chemistry and interfacial reactions, as well as the stability of the resultant interphases, particularly in batteries employing ultrahigh‐nickel layered oxides as cathodes and high‐capacity Li/Si materials as anodes. The detailed examination reveals how these factors are pivotal in mitigating the rapid capacity fade, thereby ensuring a long cycle life, superior rate capability, and consistent high‐/low‐temperature performance. In the latter part, a comprehensive summary of in situ/operational analysis is presented. This holistic approach, encompassing innovative electrolyte design, interphase regulation, and advanced characterization, offers a comprehensive roadmap for advancing battery technology in extreme environmental conditions. SUMMARY As a dynamic and reversible post‐transcriptional marker, N6‐methyladenosine (m6A) plays an important role in the regulation of biological functions, which are mediated by m6A pathway components including writers (MT‐A70, FIP37, VIR and HAKAI family), erasers (ALKBH family) and readers (YTH family). There is an urgent need for a comprehensive analysis of m6A pathway components across species at evolutionary levels. In this study, we identified 4062 m6A pathway components from 154 plant species including green algae, utilizing large‐scale phylogenetic to explore their origin and evolution. We discovered that the copy number of writers was conserved among different plant lineages, with notable expansions in the ALKBH and YTH families. Synteny network analysis revealed conserved genomic contexts and lineage‐specific transpositions. Furthermore, we used Direct RNA Sequencing (DRS) to reveal the Poly(A) length (PAL) and m6A ratio profiles in six angiosperms species, with a particular focus on the m6A pathway components. The ECT1/2‐Poeaece4 sub‐branches (YTH family) with unique genomic contexts exhibited significantly higher expression level than genes of other ECT1/2 poeaece sub‐branches (ECT1/2‐Poeaece1‐3), accompanied by lower m6A modification and PAL. Besides, conserved m6A sites distributed in CDS and 3′UTR were detected in the ECT1/2‐Poaceae4, and the dual‐luciferase assay further demonstrated that these conserved m6A sites in the 3′UTR negatively regulated the expression of Firefly luciferase (LUC) gene. Finally, we developed transcription factor regulatory networks for m6A pathway components, using yeast one‐hybrid assay demonstrated that PheBPC1 could interact with the PheECT1/2‐5 promoter. Overall, this study presents a comprehensive evolutionary and functional analysis of m6A pathway components and their modifications in plants, providing a valuable resource for future functional analysis in this field. The interaction mechanism of spherical gold nanoparticles (AuNPs) and rod-shaped gold nanoparticles (AuNRs) with γ-globulin and hemoglobin was comprehensively and comparatively analyzed. γ-Globulin and hemoglobin have high affinity with AuNPs, and with two different types of binding sites on AuNRs surface. Except hemoglobin interaction with the first binding site of AuNRs, the interaction between γ-globulin/hemoglobin and AuNPs/AuNRs is the spontaneous, endothermic and entropy-driven process, and hydrophobic interaction plays a dominant role. The molecular adsorption mechanism of γ-globulin/hemoglobin on AuNPs and AuNRs surface conforms to Langmuir model and Freundlich model, respectively. The kinetic molecular mechanism between them conforms to the pseudo-second-order model, and chemisorption is the rate-limiting step. AuNPs result in the loosening and unfolding of γ-globulin backbone. AuNRs have no significant effect on γ-globulin backbone. AuNPs/AuNRs result in no significant changes in hemoglobin structure and heme group microenvironment. AuNPs/AuNRs decrease the hydrophobicity of Trp microenvironment of γ-globulin, but there is an intramolecular energy transfer from Trp residue to Tyr residue of hemoglobin. The β-sheet of γ-globulin and the α-helix of hemoglobin reduce by increasing concentrations of AuNPs/AuNRs. Primary liver cancer is a major public health issue in China, with high incidence and mortality rates. Notably, progress has been made in improving the surgical methods and hepatic arterial infusion chemotherapy (HAIC) regimens of liver cancer and the combination of HAIC with immunotherapy is expected to further increase the surgical conversion rate or objective response rate. However, patients with liver cancer often have underlying cirrhosis, which may lead to complications, such as esophageal varices and high-pressure gastric diseases. The present study describes three cases of giant gastric ulcers that occurred during the process of HAIC or combined immunotherapy. Notably, the causal relationship between HAIC and immunotherapy is unclear. In patients with tumors receiving immunotherapy, gastrointestinal adverse reactions are common, and some may develop serious complications, such as gastrointestinal perforation. Mammalian orthoreovirus (MRV) outer capsid protein σ3 is a multifunctional protein containing a double-stranded RNA-binding domain, which facilitates viral entry and assembly. We reasoned that σ3 has an innate immune evasion function. Here, we show that σ3 protein localizes in the mitochondria and interacts with mitochondrial antiviral signaling protein (MAVS) to activate the intrinsic mitochondria-mediated apoptotic pathway. Consequently, σ3 protein promotes the degradation of MAVS through the intrinsic caspase-9/caspase-3 apoptotic pathway. Moreover, σ3 protein can also inhibit the expression of the components of the RNA-sensing retinoic acid-inducible gene (RIG)-like receptor (RLR) signaling pathway to block antiviral type I interferon responses. Mechanistically, σ3 inhibits RIG-I and melanoma differentiation-associated gene 5 expression is independent of its inhibitory effect on MAVS. Overall, we demonstrate that the MRV σ3 protein plays a vital role in negatively regulating the RLR signaling pathway to inhibit antiviral responses. This enables MRV to evade host defenses to facilitate its own replication providing a target for the development of effective antiviral drugs against MRV., Importance: Mammalian orthoreovirus (MRV) is an important zoonotic pathogen, but the regulatory role of its viral proteins in retinoic acid-inducible gene-like receptor (RLR)-mediated antiviral responses is still poorly understood. Herein, we show that MRV σ3 protein co-localizes with mitochondrial antiviral signaling protein (MAVS) in the mitochondria and promotes the mitochondria-mediated intrinsic apoptotic pathway to cleave and consequently degrade MAVS. Furthermore, tryptophan at position 133 of σ3 protein plays a key role in the degradation of MAVS.
