Soft magnetic composites (SMCs) are key materials in electronic devices. Conventional SMCs incorporate too much insulating material in order to reduce eddy current loss at high frequency, resulting in severe magnetic dilution and demagnetization field, which leads to deterioration of the magnetic performance. In this paper, ZnO precursor is homogeneously deployed on the surface of FeSiAl, which in situ generates a thin and dense Al2O3 layer on the surface of FeSiAl through the interfacial solid phase reaction between Al and O atoms during annealing process. Meanwhile, ferromagnetic ZnO layer is simultaneously obtained due to the loss of O. The formed Al2O3/ZnO layers effectively reduce power loss and endow high frequency stability with less influence on effective permeability. Finally, FeSiAl/ZnO‐0.4% SMC exhibits low power loss of 83.2 mW cm−3 (50 mT/100 kHz), high effective permeability of 92, and cut‐off frequency as high as 40 MHz. Heart failure (HF) is often accompanied by cognitive impairment (CI). Brain‐derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) deficiency is closely associated with CI. However, the role and mechanism of BDNF in HF with CI is still not fully understood. Here, the case–control study was designed including 25 HF without CI patients (HF‐NCI) and 50 HF with CI patients (HF‐CI) to investigate the predictive value of BDNF in HF‐CI while animal and cell experiments were used for mechanism research. Results found that BDNF levels in serum neuronal‐derived exosomes were downregulated in HF‐CI patients. There was no significant difference in serum BDNF levels among the two groups. HF rats showed obvious impairment in learning and memory; also, they had reduced thickness and length of postsynaptic density (PSD) and increased synaptic cleft width. Expression of BDNF, TrkB, PSD95, and VGLUT1 was significantly decreased in HF rats brain. In addition, compared with sham rats, amino acids were significantly reduced with no changes in the acetylcholine and monoamine neurotransmitters. Further examination showed that the number of synaptic bifurcations and the expression of BDNF, TrkB, PSD95, and VGLUT1 were all decreased in the neurons that interfered with BDNF‐siRNA compared with those in the negative control neurons. Together, our results demonstrated that neuronal‐derived exosomal BDNF act as effective biomarkers for prediction of HF‐CI. The decrease of BDNF in the brain triggers synaptic structural damage and a decline in amino acid neurotransmitters via the BDNF–TrkB‐PSD95/VGLUT1 pathway. In this article, we analysed the therapeutic efficacy of open radical prostatectomy (ORP) and minimally invasive surgery (MIS) after operation for the treatment of post‐operation complications. In summary, because of the broad methodology of the available trials and the low number of trials, the data were limited. The investigators combined the results of six of the 211 original studies. We looked up 4 databases: PubMed, EMBASE, Web of Science and the Cochrane Library. A total of six publications were selected. The main result was the rate of post‐operation wound complications. Secondary results were the time of operation and the duration of hospitalization. Our findings indicate that the minimal invasive operation can decrease the incidence of wound infections (OR, 0.61; 95% CI: 0.42,0.90, p = 0.01), bleeding (MD, −293.09; 95% CI: −431.48, −154.71, p < 0.0001), and length of stay in the hospital compared with open surgery (MD, −1.85; 95% CI: −3.52, −0.17, p = 0.03), but minimally invasive surgery increased patient operative time (MD, 51.45; 95% CI: 40.99, 61.92, p < 0.0001). Compared with the open operation, the microinvasive operation has the superiority in the treatment of the wound complications following the operation of radical prostatic carcinoma. But the operation time of the microinvasive operation is much longer. Furthermore, there is a certain amount of bias among the various studies, so it is important to be cautious in interpretation of the findings. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The increasing clinical significance of Mycobacterium abscessus is owed to its innate high-level, broad-spectrum resistance to antibiotics and therefore rapidly evolves as an important human pathogen. This warrants the identification of novel targets for aiding the discovery of new drugs or drug combinations to treat M. abscessus infections. This study is inspired by the drug-hypersensitive profile of a mutant M. abscessus (U14) with transposon insertion in MAB&#95;1915 . We validated the role of MAB&#95;1915 in intrinsic drug resistance in M. abscessus by constructing a selectable marker-free in-frame deletion in MAB&#95;1915 and complementing the mutant with the same or extended version of the gene and then followed by drug susceptibility testing. Judging by the putative function of MAB&#95;1915, cell envelope permeability was studied by ethidium bromide accumulation assay and susceptibility testing against dyes and detergents. In this study, we established genetic evidence of the role of MAB&#95;1915 in intrinsic resistance to rifampicin, rifabutin, linezolid, clarithromycin, vancomycin, and bedaquiline. Disruption of MAB&#95;1915 has also been observed to cause a significant increase in cell envelope permeability in M. abscessus . Restoration of resistance is observed to depend on at least 27 base pairs upstream of the coding DNA sequence of MAB&#95;1915 . MAB&#95;1915 could therefore be associated with cell envelope permeability, and hence its role in intrinsic resistance to multiple drugs in M. abscessus , which presents it as a novel target for future development of effective antimicrobials to overcome intrinsic drug resistance in M. abscessus ., Importance: This study reports the role of a putative fadD (MAB&#95;1915) in innate resistance to multiple drugs by M. abscessus , hence identifying MAB&#95;1915 as a valuable target and providing a baseline for further mechanistic studies and development of effective antimicrobials to check the high level of intrinsic resistance in this pathogen., Competing Interests: The authors declare no conflict of interest.
