Abstract

We have carried out a study of the $\gamma ~ p \rightarrow p K^{+} K^{*-} (K^{*-} \rightarrow K^{-} \pi^{0}) $, $ \gamma ~p \rightarrow p K^{+} K^{*-} ( K^{*-} \rightarrow \bar{K}^{0} \pi^{-} )$ and $ \gamma ~p \rightarrow K^{+} K^{-}p$ reactions, producing the $K^+ \Lambda(1800)$ final state, from the perspective that the $\Lambda(1800)$ resonance is dynamically generated from the interaction of $\bar{K}^* N$ with its coupled vector-baryon channels, in complete analogy to the $\Lambda(1405)$ generated from the interaction of $\bar{K} N$ and its coupled pseudoscalar-baryon channels. The two reactions are complementary and their mass distributions are tied to the particular nature of this resonance in that framework. We provide much information on the shapes and strength of the invariant mass distributions of these reactions, and the energy dependence of the cross sections, that when contrasted with future experiments should shed valuable light on the nature of this resonance and its analogy to the $\Lambda(1405)$., Comment: 11 pages, 5 figures

3. Pentaquark molecular states with hidden bottom and double strangeness

Abstract

We investigate the meson-baryon interaction in coupled channels with the quantum numbers of the pentaquarks $P_{bss}$ and $P_{bsss}$. The interaction is derived from an extension of the local hidden gauge approach to the heavy quark sector, which has demonstrated accurate results compared to experiments involving $\Omega_{b}$, $\Xi_{b}$ states, and pentaquarks $P_{c}$ and $P_{cs}$. In our study, we identify several molecular states with small decay widths within the chosen set of coupled channels. The spin-parity ($J^P$) of these states is as follows: $J^P={\frac{1}{2}}^-$ for pseudoscalar-baryon (${\frac{1}{2}}^+$) coupled channels, $J^P={\frac{3}{2}}^-$ for pseudoscalar-baryon (${\frac{3}{2}}^+$) coupled channels, $J^P={\frac{1}{2}}^-$ and ${\frac{3}{2}}^-$ for vector-baryon (${\frac{1}{2}}^+$) coupled channels, and $J^P={\frac{1}{2}}^-$, ${\frac{3}{2}}^-$, ${\frac{5}{2}}^-$ for vector-baryon (${\frac{3}{2}}^+$) coupled channels. 4. Study of possible $DND^*$ bound states

Abstract

We start from a recently favored picture in which the $\Lambda_c(2940)$ and $\Lambda_c(2910)$ correspond mostly to $ND^*$ bound states with $J^P = 1/2^-,\, 3/2^-$ and then add a $D$ as a third particle, looking for the possible binding of the $DND^*$ three body system within the framework of the Fixed Center Approximation. We find that the system is bound with respect to the corresponding $\Lambda_c^* D$ threshold with a binding of about $60$ MeV and a width of about $90$ MeV. Alternatively we assume a cluster of $ND$ and a $D^*$ meson interacting with the cluster and we find similar results. The observation of these states of $J^P = 1/2^+,\, 3/2^+$ would provide new and valuable information concerning the $DN$ and $D^* N$ interaction, an issue of current debate., Comment: 9 pages, 4 figures

Abstract

We propose the reaction $\psi(3686) \to \bar{\Xi}^+ \bar{K}^0 \Sigma^{*-}$, with the $\Sigma^{*-}$ decaying to $\pi^- \Lambda$ in order to show evidence for the existence of two $\Xi(1820)$ states, one around $1824$ MeV and narrow, and another one around $1875$ MeV and wide. The phase space for $\bar{K}^0 \Sigma^{*-}$ production reduces the effect of the lower mass resonance, magnifying the effect of the higher mass resonance that shows clearly over the phase space. The estimated rate of the production is bigger than the one of the $\psi(3686) \to \bar{\Xi}^+ K^- \Lambda$ reaction, where a clear peak for $\Xi(1820)$ was observed by the BESIII collaboration, what makes the Beijing facility ideal to carry out the reaction proposed., Comment: 4 pages, 2 figures, 1 table

24. Nutrient and Chemical Composition and Functional Activity of Three Varieties of Wine Grape Pomace from Yunnan

Abstract

In this study, the nutrient, amino acid and anthocyanin composition of three varieties (Rose Honey, Cloud Dance, and French Wild) of wine grape pomace from Yunnan were investigated. Subsequently, the in vitro antioxidant and hypoglycemic activities of the free, esterified and bound phenols extracted from each variety of wine grape pomace were evaluated in terms of 1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) and 2,2′-azino-bis(3-ethylbenzothiazoline-6-sulfonic acid) (ABTS) cation radical scavenging activities, ferric reducing power, α-glucosidase and α-amylase inhibitory activities. Meanwhile, qualitative analysis of phenolic compounds was conducted using high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). The results showed that the three varieties of grape pomace had similar nutrient composition, characterized by high dietary fiber content, low fat content, and abundant content and reasonable composition of essential amino acids. Overall, Rose Honey had the highest nutritional value. Furthermore, two types of anthocyanidins and 34 types of anthocyanins, primarily in the form of 3-O-glucoside, were identified in all the samples. Notably, Cloud Dance showed the highest number and amount of anthocyanidins, followed by Rose Honey. Additionally, among the three varieties of grape pomace, Rose Honey exhibited the highest total phenol content and the strongest antioxidant capacity and α-glucosidase inhibitory activity, but its α-amylase inhibitory activity was similar to that of French Wild. Regarding the different forms of phenols, the total content and in vitro antioxidant capacity of bound phenols were higher than those of free and esterified phenols, whereas the esterified phenols demonstrated higher α-amylase inhibitory activity. A total of 18 phenolic compounds were detected in the three varieties of grape pomace, with Rose Honey being found to contain a larger number of phenolic compounds (16) than the other two varieties. Moreover, the content of bound phenols was higher than those of free and esterified phenols. In conclusion, these three varieties of grape pomace possess good nutritional value and functional activities, which are suitable to be developed as functional food ingredients due to their high dietary fiber content and low fat content as well as antioxidant and hypoglycemic activity. Among these three varieties, Rose Honey has the greatest development potential. The findings of this study provide important reference for the high-value comprehensive utilization of Yunnan wine grape pomace and even for the development of the highland grape wine industry in Yunnan.
