Summary: The development of vaccines and therapeutics that are broadly effective against known and emergent coronaviruses is an urgent priority. We screened the circulating B cell repertoires of COVID-19 survivors and vaccinees to isolate over 9,000 severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2)-specific monoclonal antibodies (mAbs), providing an expansive view of the SARS-CoV-2-specific Ab repertoire. Among the recovered antibodies was TXG-0078, an N-terminal domain (NTD)-specific neutralizing mAb that recognizes diverse alpha- and beta-coronaviruses. TXG-0078 achieves its exceptional binding breadth while utilizing the same VH1-24 variable gene signature and heavy-chain-dominant binding pattern seen in other NTD-supersite-specific neutralizing Abs with much narrower specificity. We also report CC24.2, a pan-sarbecovirus neutralizing antibody that targets a unique receptor-binding domain (RBD) epitope and shows similar neutralization potency against all tested SARS-CoV-2 variants, including BQ.1.1 and XBB.1.5. A cocktail of TXG-0078 and CC24.2 shows protection in vivo, suggesting their potential use in variant-resistant therapeutic Ab cocktails and as templates for pan-coronavirus vaccine design.

IntroductionAcademic stress is a significant and prevalent phenomenon among college students. According to the Demands-Resources Model, when individuals are unable to cope with stress that exceeds their capacity, burnout may occur. Although English courses hold a significant position in university education, there has been limited research on the mechanisms linking English academic stress to English academic burnout.MethodsThis study recruited 1,130 undergraduate students taking English courses. Participants completed online questionnaires assessing English academic stress, rumination, English academic burnout, and neuroticism traits. A moderated mediation model was constructed to examine the relationship among these variables.ResultsThe results indicate that (1) Rumination serves as a mediator in the relationship between English academic stress and burnout; (2) neuroticism significantly moderates the pathway between English academic stress and rumination. Specifically, students with high neuroticism tendencies are more prone to developing rumination when faced with high levels of English academic stress.ConclusionThese findings offer valuable insights into the psychological mechanisms underlying the association between English learning stress and academic burnout. They emphasize the importance of addressing rumination as a mediator and considering individuals’ levels of neuroticism in interventions aimed at preventing and alleviating academic burnout among university students.

Building heating is an indispensable part of people's winter life in cold regions, but energy conservation and emission reduction should also be taken into account during the heating process. This paper provides a concise overview of the heating system based on air-source heat pump radiant floor and its control strategy. It also optimizes a control system based on thermal comfort and energy efficiency ratio, and analyzes a room in Xining City, Qinghai Province, to test the heating system performance under two control strategies. The final results show that under the traditional control strategy, the cumulative working time of the heating system within a day was 15 hours, the average indoor temperature was 17.36°C, the temperature standard deviation was 2.08°C, and the average power consumption was 189.6 kWh. Under the improved control strategy, the cumulative working time of the heating system within a day was reduced to 10 hours, the average indoor temperature was 18.56°C, the temperature standard deviation was 0.92°C, and the average power consumption was 132.5 kWh. Ornamental plants are an indispensable element in landscape design. The introduction and cultivation technology can introduce ornamental plants from the outside of the local area to increase the diversity of landscape. This research studied the conditions for introduction and cultivation technology to briefly introduce the garden ornamental plants and the introduction and cultivation technology, and then discuss the adaptability of three peony varieties including Dingxiangzi, Chunhongjiaoyan, and Ruhuasiyu. The Dingxiangzi variety of peony flowers was taken as the subject for the case study, and three influence factors including watering frequency, shade, and temperature during the introduction and cultivation were tested. The results showed that the adaptability of the Dingxiangzi variety was the best. When watering frequency, shade, and temperature increased, the growth state of peony showed a trend of good first and then declined. The increase of temperature increased the disease susceptibility. The results of this study validated the application of introduction and cultivation technology for peony flowers in remote planting and provided an effective reference for the transplantation of ornamental plants to different locations.
