The article explores the relationship between extended approaches to the maxillary sinus procedures and Empty Nose Syndrome (ENS). The study found no significant association between these procedures and an increased risk of ENS. Patients who underwent these procedures did not show higher ENS6Q scores compared to those who underwent endoscopic sinus surgery. The study suggests that altered turbinate morphology may not be the sole cause of ENS, and further research is recommended to identify predisposing factors for the condition.
