Organic–inorganic copper(I) halides (OICHs) have recently attracted great attentions for their unique optoelectronic properties. However, most of them have poor stability and narrow excitation in UV region, which seriously hinder their applications in efficient white light‐emitting diodes (WLEDs). Herein, 0D (C19H18P)2Cu4I6 with super broad‐band excitation (300–500 nm) and yellow emission with the absolute photoluminescence quantum yield of 87.4% is synthesized in a quantity of gram scale. Specifically, (C19H18P)2Cu4I6 possesses exceptional thermal‐, photo‐, air‐stability, and can maintain efficient emission even if soaked in water, ethyl acetate, and isopropanol over 30 days. WLEDs with remarkable color stability under various driven currents are fabricated using 450, 400, 365, and 310 nm LED chips. The ideal WLEDs based on single (C19H18P)2Cu4I6 by 450 nm LED chip presents high color rendering index of 86.7, and outstanding luminous efficiency of 90 lm W−1. To the best of the knowledge, this is the highest value that is achieved based on single‐component OICHs using blue light chip. Taking advantage of the large surface area and high porosity characteristic of metal-organic framework (MOF) materials, the synthesis of carbon-coated bimetallic transition metal oxides stands out as an effective strategy to reduce volume expansion, enhance cycling stability, and improve electronic conductivity at the active sites in lithium-ion batteries (LIBs). In this research, a novel rambutan-like Ni-Co MOF was successfully synthesized via a hydrothermal method followed by calcination to obtain nitrogen-doped carbon-stabilized hierarchical rambutan-like NiCo 2 O 4 composites (NiCo 2 O 4 /NC). The resulting composites inherited the original rambutan-like structure of the Ni-Co MOF, which was characterized by uniform size, highly ordered porosity and large surface area, and showed excellent electrochemical Li+ storage performance. In particular, the NiCo 2 O 4 /NC-600 composite exhibited superior cyclic stability and rate capability, maintaining a remarkable reversible charge/discharge specific capacity of 1281.7/1292.7 mAh g−1 after 400 cycles at 0.5 A g−1. In addition, when paired with LiFePO 4 in a full cell, it maintained a reversible discharge specific capacity of 143.9 mAh g−1 after 200 cycles at 0.1 A g−1, indicating commendable cyclic stability. Ex-situ analyses confirmed the pseudo-capacitive behavior of the NiCo 2 O 4 /NC composites. Furthermore, the nitrogen-doped carbon layer embedded in the NiCo 2 O 4 /NC composites effectively mitigated the volume expansion during repeated Li stripping/plating processes, thereby improving the structural integrity, conductivity, and specific capacitance. This study presents a practical approach for fabricating nitrogen-doped carbon-stabilized bimetallic oxide anodes in high-power LIBs through architectural engineering and compositional tailoring. Atrazine (ATZ) represents an endocrine-disrupting pesticide posing significant threats to both the environment and human well-being. In this study, a novel turn-on electrochemical aptasensor was successfully developed for highly sensitive ATZ detection. It relied on Ni 6 MnO 8 @C/Au nanorods (Ni 6 MnO 8 @C/AuNR) and covalent-metal organic framework nanohybrids (MCA@Ce-MOF) with RecJ f -catalyzed target recycling amplification. Notably, this marks the first instance of utilizing this strategy for ATZ detection. The substrate material, ultrathin Ni 6 MnO 8 @C/AuNR nanosheets, enhanced the specific surface area, conductivity, and biocompatibility, thereby facilitating biomolecule attachment and improving sensitivity. The scaffolds, hierarchically porous MCA@Ce-MOF, not only elevated the loading efficiency and surface concentration of signal molecules, but also strengthened the binding firmness of biomolecules. RecJ f -catalyzed target recycling was triggered in the presence of ATZ, further magnifying electrochemical signals. Leveraging these unique attributes, the developed aptasensor exhibited exceptional ATZ detection performance with a low detection limit of 4.9 fg·mL−1, a wide linear range of 4 × 10−5–4 ng·mL−1, and a satisfactory recovery of 93.3–99.6% in corn samples. Low‐dimensional organic–inorganic metal halides (OIMHs) have emerged as promising light emitters due to their broadband emission originating from self‐trapped excitons (STE), especially for Cu‐based OIMHs. Herein, Cu(I)‐based OIMH with a structure of (TPP)2Cu4I6·2DMSO (TPP stays for tetraphenylphosphonium, and DMSO – for dimethyl sulfoxide) has been synthesized, both in form of single crystals and as a microcrystalline powder. This compound exhibits a broadband green emission with a peak at 515 nm and a full width at half‐maximum of 78 nm, and a near‐unity photoluminescence quantum yield of 99.5%. Experimental data supported by theoretical calculations indicate that the STE emission is responsible for the green emission with a long lifetime of 2.53 µs. Down‐conversion light‐emitting device with a high luminous efficiency of 50 lm W−1 based on this compound have been fabricated, and white light has also been achieved with a high color rendering index of 96.7. Moreover, green emissive (TPP)2Cu4I6·2DMSO is utilized in scintillators for X‐ray detection and imaging, and as a luminescent ink for encryption applications. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Recycling of spent lithium-ion batteries (LIBs) has emerged as an inevitable trend in promoting environmental sustainability and resource conservation. Lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO 4 or LFP) battery, renowned for its unique stability and favorable price, has been the predominant focus for lithium-ion battery manufacturers, consequently resulting in a surge in the number of spent LIBs. In view of the failure mechanism, the direct regeneration technology presents a potential strategy for the closed-loop recycling of LFP. The aim is to retain the high added value and revitalize optimal state of the spent cathode materials through a non-destructive process that maximizes efficiency and ensures desirable profits. Hence, the existing technical challenges and recent progress in the separation pretreatment are reviewed and summarized. Subsequently, the current direct regeneration methods and advanced upcycling techniques for spent LFP cathode are outlined, along with an appraisal of their respective advantages and disadvantage. Specifically, a comprehensive analysis of environmental and economic benefits derived from three presentative examples is highlighted compared to traditional metallurgy process. • The current study involved 212 CWE from some major southwestern provinces of China. • SQ was used as a mediator in an attempt to discover the relationships of some clinical characteristics with SQ and QOL. • Assessment and improvement of SQ are necessary for interventions in epilepsy. • Factors with direct or mediated effects on the QOL of CWE need more exploration. Although sleep quality (SQ) reportedly affects the health-related quality of life (QOL) of patients with epilepsy, little is known about the potential association between SQ and QOL, particularly in children with epilepsy (CWE). Our study aimed to investigate the mediating effect of SQ on the QOL of CWE to obtain more information for the prevention and treatment of epilepsy in children. We collected general demographic and clinical data of 212 CWE and 79 controls (children who visited the Health Examination Department), and their guardians were instructed to answer the Children's Sleep Habits Questionnaire (CSHQ) and the optimized Quality of Life in Childhood Epilepsy Questionnaire-16 (QOLCE-16). The t -test, analysis of variance, chi-square test, and Fisher's exact test were used for between group comparisons. The Pearson correlation was used to analyze the correlation between variables. The direct, indirect, and total effects of predictors on the QOL of CWE were estimated based on an adjusted mediation model. CWE had significantly smaller long-term urban residence rates, less educated guardians, higher total CSHQ score, higher incidence of poor SQ, higher bedtime resistance, more sleep anxiety, worse sleep-disordered breathing, increased parasomnia, more daytime sleepiness, more frequent night waking, and greater sleep onset delay than controls (P < 0.05 for all). The univariable analysis showed significant differences in total CSHQ scores between CWE with different seizure frequency in the last month, whether or not drug-resistant epilepsy (DRE), and with different video electroencephalogram (VEEG) findings (P < 0.05 for all). Differences in QOLCE-16 scores between CWE with different guardian's employment status, age at diagnosis, number of anti-seizure medication (ASM) types, seizure frequency in the last month, DRE status, seizure type, VEEG findings, neuropsychological evaluation findings, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) findings, and etiology were statistically significant (P < 0.05 for all). The correlation study indicated that the total CSHQ score was negatively correlated with the QOLCE-16 score (P < 0.05). The mediation analysis showed that DRE and VEEG abnormalities had a standardized direct effect on the QOL. Seizure frequency in the last month, DRE, and VEEG abnormalities had an indirect effect on the QOL through SQ, and their mediating effect values of SQ were 31.61 %, 13.45 %, and 14.35 %, respectively. Our findings uncovered the relationship of some clinical characteristics with SQ and QOL and characterized the nature of factors affecting the QOL of CWE. SQ could be a key factor in the prognosis of CWE experiencing epileptic seizures, and more attention should be paid on the management of SQ in interventions for epilepsy. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

In order to study the evolution laws of the temperature field, flow field, and macroscopic morphology of the molten pool during laser cladding process, this paper focuses on the changes in the morphology and flow field distribution of the molten pool temperature field caused by corresponding parameter changes during laser cladding process. First, a multi-physics field coupling model for laser cladding was established by combining light powder interaction, phase transition, heat transfer, and fluid dynamics, and the temperature and flow fields of the molten pool were analyzed. Then, the influence of process parameters such as laser power, scanning speed, and powder feeding rate on the temperature and flow field of the molten pool was studied. Finally, the influence of Marangoni convection induced by surface tension temperature coefficient on the macroscopic morphology, internal temperature field, and flow field distribution of the molten pool was investigated. Laser cladding has significant advantages in the forming process of Invar alloy. Nevertheless, the coefficient of thermal expansion, microstructure and mechanical properties still need to be further investigated. In this paper, the Invar alloy powder was used to prepare cladding samples, and the performance and microstructure of the cladding layer were investigated. The mechanical and thermal expansion performances of the cladding layer were analysed using a universal material testing machine and a thermal expansion instrument, and the microscopic structure and micro zone composition of the tensile fracture of the cladding layer were investigated using an SEM scanning electron microscope and an EDS energy spectrum analyser. The results show that the mechanical properties of the Invar alloy transverse cladding layer are better than those of longitudinal cladding layer; the thermal expansion performance of the cladding layer is good, and it keeps the same with the base material in the range of 25–200 °C; the fracture analysis reveals more dimples in the transverse cladding layer fracture with better plastic tenacity, and intergranular fracture and quasi-cleavage fracture in the longitudinal cladding layer fracture with slightly poor plastic tenacity. The recycling of spent lithium-ion batteries (LIBs) is an effectual strategy for mitigating environmental and resource crises. Lithium iron phosphate batteries, renowned for their unique safety and stability, are widely utilized in energy storage systems and electric vehicles, consequently resulting in a growing number of spent LIBs. Herein, a one-pot mechanochemical process that integrates the recycling and preparation of LiFePO4 is proposed to drive the rapid regeneration of spent LiFePO4. Benefiting from the inherent characteristics of the input material, more than 98% of Li is selectively released, while less than 1.5% of Fe is leached without any impurity output. To this end, these reclaimed precursors in a ball mill can be directly re-used for the regeneration of LiFePO4 with an appropriate lithium source addition, eliminating the need to recover LiFePO4 with various degrees of lithium deficiency. As expected, the regenerated LiFePO4 delivers a discharge specific capacity of 143 mA h g−1 without negligible capacity fading after 250 cycles at 1 C, featuring significantly improved rate capability and long-term cycling stability. Purpose: This study aimed to investigate whether minocycline could influence alterations of microglial subtypes, the morphology of dendrites and dendritic spines, the microstructures of synapses and synaptic proteins, or even cognition outcomes in immature male mice following status epilepticus (SE) induced by kainic acid. Methods: Golgi staining was performed to visualize the dendrites and dendritic spines of neurons of the hippocampus. The microstructures of synapses and synaptic proteins were observed using transmission electron microscopy and western blotting analysis, respectively. Microglial reactivation and their markers were evaluated using flow cytometry. The Morris water maze (MWM) test was used to analyze spatial learning and memory ability. Results: Significant partial spines increase (predominate in thin spines) was observed in the dendrites of neurons after acute SE and partial loss (mainly in thin spines) was presented by days 14 and 28 post‐SE. The postsynaptic ultrastructure was impaired on the 7th and 14th days after SE. The proportion of M1 microglia increased significantly only after acute SE Similarly, the proportion of M2 microglia increased in the acute stage with high expression levels of all surface markers. In contrast, a decrease in M2 microglia and their markers was noted by day 14 post‐SE. Minocycline could reverse the changes in dendrites and synaptic proteins caused by SE, and increase the levels of synaptic proteins. Meanwhile, minocycline could inhibit the reactivation of M1 microglia and the expression of their markers, except for promoting CD200R. In addition, treatment with minocycline could regulate the expression of M2 microglia and their surface markers, as well as ameliorating the impaired spatial learning and memory on the 28th day after SE. Conclusions: Dendritic spines and microglia are dynamically changed after SE. [Display omitted] Carbon materials are promising anode materials for rechargeable lithium and sodium-ion batteries, due to their low cost, high capacity, and structural designability. In this work, we selected a waste biomass, garlic stem, as the carbon precursor, and we systematically investigated the effect of pyrolysis temperature and time on their battery performance. We find that 800 °C and 2 h are the best pyrolysis conditions, which leads to the optimal carbon material (800C-2H) with a large layer spacing, abundant defect sites, high surface area, and sufficient micro/meso-porous structures. Due to these favorable properties, this carbon anode exhibits an impressive performance for Lithium-ion batteries, with a very high capacity of 480 mAh g−1 and no significant capacity fading after 3000 cycles. Besides, this anode also shows promising performance for Sodium-ion batteries, where a good capacity of 151.9 mAh g−1 and reasonable cycling of 100 cycles are achievable. We also carried out in-situ X-ray diffraction and in-situ Raman spectroscopy experiments to understand the relationship between carbon microstructures and their Li-ion storage. Soil fungal communities play crucial roles in mediating the functional associations between above- and belowground components during forest restoration. Forest restoration shapes the alterations in plant and soil environments, which exerts a crucial effect on soil fungal assemblages. However, the changes, assembly processes, and driving factors of soil fungi communities during tropical forest restoration are still uncertain. We used Illumina high-throughput sequencing to identify the changes of soil fungal communities across a tropical secondary forest succession chronosequence (i.e., 12-, 42-, and 53-yr stages) in Xishuangbanna. During forest restoration, the dominant taxa of soil fungi communities shifted from r- to K-strategists. The relative abundance of Ascomycota (r-strategists) decreased by 10.0% and that of Basidiomycota (K-strategists) increased by 4.9% at the 53-yr restoration stage compared with the 12-yr stage. From the 12-yr to 53-yr stage, the operational taxonomic unit (OTU), abundance-based coverage estimator (ACE), Chao1, and Shannon index of fungal communities declined by 14.5–57.4%. Although the stochastic processes were relatively important in determining fungal assemblages at the late stage, the fungal community assembly was dominated by deterministic processes rather than stochastic processes. The shifts in soil properties resulting from tropical forest restoration exerted significant effects on fungal composition and diversity. The positive effects of microbial biomass carbon, readily oxidizable carbon, and soil water content explained 11.5%, 9.6%, and 9.1% of the variations in fungal community composition, respectively. In contrast, microbial biomass carbon (40.0%), readily oxidizable carbon (14.0%), and total nitrogen (13.6%) negatively contributed to the variations in fungal community diversity. Our data suggested that the changes in fungal composition and diversity during tropical forest restoration were primarily mediated by the positive or negative impacts of soil carbon and nitrogen pools. Recently, many reports have been published about polyoxovanadates (POVs) with multiple electrons redox activity for energy storage. However, they are easily transformed into solid-state oxides after calcination. We noted that although dehydrated Li 7 [V 15 O 36 (CO 3)] (Li 7 V 15) exhibited a high capacity for lithium-ion batteries (LIBs), it was reported that the electrochemical behavior of the dehydrated sample same as γ -LiV 2 O 5 (γ -LVO) which prepared by annealing the cluster and undehydrated Li 7 V 15 was not redox-active. Interestingly, we were surprised to find that undehydrated Li 7 V 15 and its derivative γ -LVO showed better electrochemical performance than LIBs when first proposed as the cathode to store Zn2+. Both Li 7 V 15 and γ -LVO electrodes provided excellent rate performance and satisfied cyclability (135.0 and 214.1 mAh g−1 at 3 A g−1 after 1000 cycles, respectively). The fast kinetics of Li 7 V 15 and γ -LVO were verified by pseudocapacitive analysis, GITT and EIS tests. Moreover, the Zn2+ storage mechanism and redox behavior of Li 7 V 15 and γ -LVO were examined by ex-situ measurements. First-principles calculations revealed that the Zn2+ was chemisorbed on the clusters and physisorbed between the clusters. This work enriches the POVs cathode chemistry in aqueous energy storage. At present, the ebullated bed reactor is generally used to upgrade the biomass pyrolysis liquid, but the catalyst is prone to deactivation due to the polycondensation and coking of bio-oil. This paper proposes an ebullated bed with a built-in axial hydrocyclone to achieve in-situ activation of the catalyst. The influences of the vortex finder insertion depth and the inlet flow rate on the particles' revolution and self-rotation were investigated by numerical simulation, high-speed imaging technology and particle image velocimetry (PIV), and the coupling principle of revolution and self-rotation of catalysts was also analyzed. The results show that increasing flow rate and decreasing vortex finder insertion depth will increase the particles' revolution speed, which varies in the range of 18–78 rad/min. The particles' self-rotation speed varies in the range of 240–1200 rad/min. With the increase of flow rate and vortex finder insertion depth, the particles' self-rotation speed increases, the attached oil phase on particle pores and surfaces receives greater centrifugal force, the coupled centrifugal separation factor increases, and the oscillation period of the coupled centrifugal force decreases, which is beneficial to the desorption of the oil phase. Sodium-ion batteries (SIBs) experience a re-emerging academic interest due to their low cost and high abundance as compared with lithium-ion batteries (LIBs) which have considerably increased the worldwide cost due to high actual demand. At present, a representative amount of cathode/anode SIBs materials are developed; facilitating the Na+ insertion mechanism understanding and the respective influence on structure change, which in most cases it is directly related to sodium concentration. In this work, the rheological phase reaction method is used to synthesize five types of Na x MnO 2+ z materials with different sodium content and use them as the cathode materials for SIBs. The physical properties and electrochemical performances of Na x MnO 2+ z materials with different concentrations are investigated by physical characterization means, electrochemical tests, and a series of computational methods. Inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectrometer (ICP-OES) test results indicate that the right materials have been successfully synthesized, while scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM) measurements show how the changes in sodium concentration significantly impact the morphology of the formed particles. In the results of electrochemical investigations, NMO-0.67 material has a high initial specific discharge capacity, but NMO-0.44 material has a reasonable cycling stability, keeping its discharge specific capacity of 83.06 mAh/g after 1000 cycles at a high current density of 360 mA g−1. Galvanostatic intermittent titration technique (GITT) testing and pseudo-capacitance analyses are also used to disclose the dynamic properties of NMO-0.44 material. In conclusion, the rheological phase reaction approach may be used to successfully create Na x MnO 2+ z materials, and variations in sodium content have a big impact on their structure and electrochemical performance. [Display omitted] • This work summarizes the application of vanadium oxides as aqueous ZIBs cathodes. • Electrochemical properties and energy storage behavior of different types of vanadium oxide cathodes. • Current challenges and expected development foregrounds of vanadium oxides cathodes in aqueous ZIBs are proposed. The rapid development of science and technology, as well as the trend toward intelligence, has resulted in a surge in the demand for excellent energy storage devices for smart devices. At present, the most widely used lithium ion batteries have limited further development because of their high cost and various disadvantages of electrolytes (flammable and toxic). In spite of the low costs and safety of aqueous zinc-ion batteries, the high radius of the zinc ions and strong electrostatic interactions make cathode materials without excellent performance difficult to find. Various oxidation states, structural diversity, excellent multiplicity performance and high capacity have attracted researchers to vanadium-based oxides in recent years. However, vanadium-based oxides have disadvantages such as poor structural stability and low electrical conductivity, so this paper summarizes the progress of research on vanadium oxide cathode materials such as V 2 O 5 , VO 2 , V 2 O 3 , etc., and provides an outlook on future development directions.
