Objective To develop the Health Belief Scale for Prostate Cancer Screening, and to examine its reliability and validity.Methods Based on the health belief model as the theoretical framework, and considering the literature review and the cultural context of China, a pre-test scale was developed after two rounds of expert consultations. A total of 284 inpatients in a tertiary general hospital in Wuhan were selected for investigation using convenience sampling, and the item analysis, reliability and validity test of the scale were carried out.Results The formal Health Belief Scale for Prostate Cancer Screening consist of 6 dimensions with a total of 27 items. The total Cronbach's α coefficient of the scale was 0.900, and the Cronbach's α coefficients of each dimension ranged from 0.769 to 0.913. The content validity index of the scale was 0.964, with the content validity indexes of each dimension ranging from 0.818 to 1.000. Exploratory factor analysis revealed 6 factors, and the cumulative variance contribution rate was 69.782%.Conclusion The Health Belief Scale for Prostate Cancer Screening has good reliability and validity and can be used as a measure tool for health beliefs in prostate cancer screening.

Hydrogen is an ideal alternative energy sources as it is non-polluting and clean. The main commercial materials used for hydrogen production from electrolytic water are precious metals. Their high price has a negative impact on the industrialisation of electrolytic water, and there is an urgent need to research highly active and durable non-precious metal materials to replace them. Inorganic transition metals are of interest due to their high content and low price. Here, we prepared high performance and stable Fe-CoMoO4 by modifying the geometrical and electronic structures of cobalt molybdate. The overpotential of hydrogen precipitation is only 42 mV at a current density of 10 mA cm−2 in 1 M KOH solution. Meanwhile, it can be stabilised for 32 h at a current density of 100 mA cm−2. Peripheral nerve injury (PNI)-induced neuropathic pain (NP) is a severe disease with high prevalence in clinics. Gene reprogramming and tissue remodeling in the dorsal root ganglia (DRG) and spinal cord (SC) drive the development and maintenance of neuropathic pain (NP). However, our understanding of the NP-associated spatial molecular processing landscape of SC and the non-synaptic interactions between DRG neurons and SC cells remains limited. We here integrate spatial transcriptomics (ST) with single-nucleus RNA-sequencing (snRNA-seq) and bulk RNA-sequencing (bulk RNA-seq) to characterize regional pathological heterogeneity of the SC under NP conditions. First, the SC of NP mice manifests unique spatial atlases of genes, cell populations, cell-cell cross-talks, signaling pathways, and transcriptional regulatory networks compared to sham mice. We further report that injured DRG sensory neurons and the corresponding ventral horn of the SC show similar expression patterns after PNI. In addition, for the first time, we systematically exhibit "cross-talk omics" between the DRG neurons and SC dorsal horn neurons and glial cells, indicating an altered communication profile under NP conditions. Together, our findings decode the spatial and cellular heterogeneity of molecular pathological mechanisms underlying NP, providing a foundation for designing therapeutic targets for this disorder. GNSS-RTK offers numerous advantages and broad prospects in structural dynamic monitoring in civil engineering. However, in practical applications, GNSS-RTK accuracy is susceptible to the monitoring environments, causing actual monitoring accuracy to fall below its calibrated accuracy. This study investigates the monitoring accuracy and spectral characteristics of GNSS-RTK based on stability tests under different environments related to reflection and obstruction conditions (i.e., concrete, grass, an obstructed balcony, and a water area). The findings indicate that in open environments of grass, concrete, and water, the standard deviation (STD) of GNSS-RTK monitored displacement is below 8 mm, its accuracy meeting the specifications of structural health monitoring. In the obstructed balcony environments, GNSS-RTK signals exhibit amplitude jumps, resulting in lower accuracy; however, during non-jump intervals, the STD of monitored displacement is below 10 mm, satisfying the structural health monitoring accuracy requirements. Moreover, the amplitudes of GNSS-RTK displacements in the concrete, grass, and water areas are basically consistent with the calibration accuracy of ±10 mm in the horizontal direction and ±20 mm in the elevation direction, while the amplitudes of GNSS-RTK displacements in the obstructed balcony condition are far greater than the calibration accuracy. The spectral analysis of GNSS-RTK signals reveals that multipath errors in concrete, grass, and obstructed balcony environments are primarily concentrated in the low-frequency range within 0.04 Hz, while the internal white noise of the instrument is widely and evenly distributed across the whole frequency domain. Based on these findings, adaptive methods, such as filter methods and multipath error correction techniques, are proposed for the de-noising of GNSS-RTK background noise. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Background: Neuroimaging studies have revealed aberrant network functional connectivity in postherpetic neuralgia (PHN) patients. However, there is a lack of knowledge regarding the relationship between the brain network connectivity during the acute period and disease prognosis., Objective: The purpose of this study was to detect characteristic network connectivity in the process of herpes zoster (HZ) pain chronification and to identify whether abnormal network connectivity in the acute period can predict the outcome of patients with HZ., Methods: In this cross-sectional study, 31 patients with PHN, 33 with recuperation from herpes zoster (RHZ), and 28 with acute herpes zoster (AHZ) were recruited and underwent resting-state functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI). We investigated the differences in the connectivity of four resting-state networks (RSN) among the three groups. Receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve analysis was performed to identify whether abnormal network connectivity in the acute period could predict the outcome of patients with HZ., Results: First, we found within-basal ganglia network (BGN) and default mode network (DMN)-BGN connectivity differences, with PHN patients showing increased DMN-BGN connectivity compared to AHZ and RHZ patients, while RHZ patients showing increased within-BGN connectivity compared to AHZ and PHN patients. Moreover, DMN-BGN connectivity was associated with the ID pain score in patients with AHZ. Finally, the DMN-BGN connectivity of AHZ patients could predict the outcome of HZ patients with sensitivity and specificity of 77.8 % and 63.2 %, respectively., Conclusions: Our results provide evidence that DMN-BGN connectivity during the acute period confers a risk for the development of chronic pain and can act as a neuroimaging biomarker to predict the outcome of patients with HZ., Competing Interests: None of the authors have a conflict of interest to declare., (© 2025 The Authors.
