To address the observed decrease in efficiency during Fe2+-mediated persulfate (PDS) activation caused by slow electron transfer rates and challenges in cycling between Fe3+/Fe2+ states, we devised a strategy to establish interfacial complexation between Fe3+ and Bi 2 MoO 6 in the presence of PDS. The proposed approach facilitates more efficient capture of photogenerated electrons, thereby accelerating the rate-limiting reduction process of the Fe3+/Fe2+ cycle under visible light irradiation and promoting PDS activation. The Bi 2 MoO 6 /Fe3+/PDS/Vis system demonstrates complete degradation of organic pollutants, including Atrazine (ATZ), carbamazepine (CBZ), bisphenol A (BPA), and 2,4-dichlorophenol (DCP) at a concentration of 10 mg/L within a rapid reaction time of 30 min. Radical scavenging experiments and electron paramagnetic resonance spectra (EPR) confirm that the sulfate radical (•SO 4 −) is the dominant species responsible for organic contaminant degradation. The real-time conversion process between Fe3+ and Fe2+ was monitored by observing changes in iron species forms and concentrations within the reaction system. X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) and Raman spectroscopy verify the formation of a complexation between Fe3+ and Bi 2 MoO 6 , facilitating anchoring of Fe3+ onto material surface. Based on these findings, we propose a reliable mechanism for the activation reaction. This work presents a promising heterogeneous PDS activation method based on Fe3+/Fe2+ cycle for water treatment. Highlights Nature has evolved a myriad of dedicate‐designed structures that assist in prey capture. Spiders employ their web structures for vibrational sensing and prey capture, analogous to a component of a neurosensory system. Here, we propose a spider web‐inspired sensor with integrated energy‐absorption and force perception capabilities by 3D printing. The conductive carbon black/TPU composite made from TPU granules and carbon black particles are employed for 3D printing. We analyze the underlying sensing mechanism of conductive CB/TPU composites stemming from the enhanced dispersion of the CB particles. Through 3D printing method, we are allowed to regulate the structure's form, filling density, arrangement, and printing path to tailor the static mechanical properties, initial resistance, and force sensitivity of the spider‐web inspired structure. The static mechanical model for single silk of the spider‐web inspired structure is constructed. We explore the energy absorption capability of spider‐web inspired structures with different structural parameters, and demonstrate its impact perceiving characteristics at different falling height. Additionally, we assembled a circuit to visually reflect the falling height of the impacting ball through the brightness of the LED light. This study provides insights to endowing structural materials with intelligent characteristics, contributing to their practical applications in the fields of biomedical, soft robotics, and artificial skin, etc. A spider web‐inspired sensor is 3D printed with CB/TPU composites. Surface functionalization has been considered as an effective strategy to manipulate charge separation of carbon nitride and therefore to largely improve the photocatalytic H 2 evolution efficiency. Poly heptazine imide (PHI) is a new class of crystalline carbon nitride frameworks that exhibits remarkable photocatalytic performance for hydrogen evolution. To further improve the H 2 evolution performance of PHI and explore the reaction mechanism, ammonium thiocyanate was used as a precursor for the synthesis of poly heptazine imide at elevated temperatures under molten salt conditions. The optimized PHI with an abundance of surface cyano groups shows a significantly enhanced photocatalytic performance for H 2 evolution, which is 4.3 times that on pristine PCN. Most importantly, the surface cyano group adjusts the electron intensity of the polymeric framework, enhances the light absorbance, reduces the bandgap, and improves the charge separation efficiency. Objectives: Disruptive mood dysregulation disorder (DMDD) is a relatively new diagnosis that comprises severe, nonepisodic irritability and recurrent outbursts of emotional instability in adolescents. This meta-analysis examined the efficacy of the available pharmacological and nonpharmacological interventions for DMDD. Methods: Literature searches were conducted in July 2023. To determine relevant articles, 330 abstracts were reviewed, and 39 articles were identified for full review. A random-effects model was used for the meta-analysis, and a subgroup analysis was performed to assess the effects of study design and intervention type. Results: Eleven studies were reviewed, including six pharmacological and five nonpharmacological. Despite high heterogeneity in effects (I2 = 85%), we showed statistically significant improvements in irritability symptoms following intervention. We showed statistically significant enhancements in symptoms of irritability following the intervention. The subgroup analysis revealed that, compared with randomized controlled trials (RCTs), open trials showed significant improvements in irritability. In addition, drug intervention significantly improved irritability compared to nondrug interventions. Atomoxetine (ATX), optimized stimulants, and stimulants combined with other drugs and behavioral therapy effectively improved irritability. Conclusions: With research indicating potential benefits for irritability from a combination of pharmacological interventions and therapy, including ATX, stimulants in conjunction with antipsychotic or antidepressant medications, and cognitive-behavioral techniques such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy for Children. Future large-scale RCTs are essential to further explore and refine these treatment approaches, especially focusing on the efficacy of combining pharmacological with effective nonpharmacological to improve irritability and overall outcomes in this population. Increasingly, nurses have crossed boundaries and conducted independent assessment, diagnosis, prescribing and consultation, which used to be the doctor's role. Confusion and argument have arisen due to the higher‐level practice of the advanced nurse practitioner, as many questions where these ‘doctor nurses’ stand.A literature review.Databases, including CINAHL, Medline and Google Scholar, were searched.Databases were searched, and relevant studies and review articles from 1970 to 2023 were identified using the following keywords: ‘advanced nurse practitioner’, ‘nurse practitioner’, ‘advanced nursing’, ‘advance practice’, ‘nurse practitioner’, ‘nursing theory’ and ‘nursing model’.Although advanced nurse practitioners identify themselves as nurses, there is limited use of nursing theory to conceptualize this new level of practice and to define their contribution to the multi‐disciplinary team. Camellia sinensis is an important economic plant grown in southern subtropical hilly areas, especially in China, mainly for the production of tea. Soil acidification is a significant cause of the reduction of yield and quality and continuous cropping obstacles in tea plants. Therefore, chemical and microbial properties of tea growing soils were investigated and phenolic acid-degrading bacteria were isolated from a tea plantation. Chemical and ICP-AES investigations showed that the soils tested were acidic, with pH values of 4.05–5.08, and the pH negatively correlated with K (p < 0.01), Al (p < 0.05), Fe and P. Aluminum was the highest (47–584 mg/kg) nonessential element. Based on high-throughput sequencing, a total of 34 phyla and 583 genera were identified in tea plantation soils. Proteobacteria and Acidobacteria were the main dominant phyla and the highest abundance of Acidobacteria was found in three soils, with nearly 22% for the genus Gp2. Based on the functional abundance values, general function predicts the highest abundance, while the abundance of amino acids and carbon transport and metabolism were higher in soils with pH less than 5. According to Biolog Eco Plate™ assay, the soil microorganisms utilized amino acids well, followed by polymers and phenolic acids. Three strains with good phenolic acid degradation rates were obtained, and they were identified as Bacillus thuringiensis B1, Bacillus amyloliquefaciens B2 and Bacillus subtilis B3, respectively. The three strains significantly relieved the inhibition of peanut germination and growth by ferulic acid, p-coumaric acid, p-hydroxybenzoic acid, cinnamic acid, and mixed acids. Combination of the three isolates showed reduced relief of the four phenolic acids due to the antagonist of B2 against B1 and B3. Background: Jasmonate (JA) is the important phytohormone to regulate plant growth and adaption to stress signals. MYC2, an bHLH transcription factor, is the master regulator of JA signaling. Although MYC2 in maize has been identified, its function remains to be clarified. Results: To understand the function and regulatory mechanism of MYC2 in maize, the joint analysis of DAP-seq and RNA-seq is conducted to identify the binding sites and target genes of ZmMYC2. A total of 3183 genes are detected both in DAP-seq and RNA-seq data, potentially as the directly regulating genes of ZmMYC2. These genes are involved in various biological processes including plant growth and stress response. Besides the classic cis-elements like the G-box and E-box that are bound by MYC2, some new motifs are also revealed to be recognized by ZmMYC2, such as nGCATGCAnn, AAAAAAAA, CACGTGCGTGCG. The binding sites of many ZmMYC2 regulating genes are identified by IGV-sRNA. Conclusions: All together, abundant target genes of ZmMYC2 are characterized with their binding sites, providing the basis to construct the regulatory network of ZmMYC2 and better understanding for JA signaling in maize. In addition to the filter coefficients, the location of the microphone array is a crucial factor in improving the overall performance of a beamformer. The optimal microphone array placement can considerably enhance speech quality. However, the optimization problem with microphone configuration variables is non-convex and highly non-linear. Heuristic algorithms that are frequently employed take a long time and have a chance of missing the optimal microphone array placement design. We extend the Bayesian optimization method to solve the microphone array configuration design problem. The proposed Bayesian optimization method does not depend on gradient and Hessian approximations and makes use of all the information available from prior evaluations. Furthermore, Gaussian process regression and acquisition functions make up the Bayesian optimization method. The objective function is given a prior probabilistic model through Gaussian process regression, which exploits this model while integrating out uncertainty. The acquisition function is adopted to decide the next placement point based upon the incumbent optimum with the posterior distribution. Numerical experiments have demonstrated that the Bayesian optimization method could find a similar or better microphone array placement compared with the hybrid descent method and computational time is significantly reduced. It is recognized that telehealth, compared to traditional clinical settings, carries a higher risk to patients due to its virtual characteristics. Even though the landscape of healthcare service is increasingly moving towards virtual systems, the decision‐making process in telehealth remains not fully understood.A systematic integrative review.Databases include CINAHL, APA PsycInfo, Academic Search Complete, PubMed, Web of Science and Google Scholar.This systematic integrative review method was informed by Whittemore and Knafl (2005). The databases were initially searched with keywords in November 2022 and then repeated in October 2023. Thematic synthesis was conducted to analyse and synthesize the data.The search identified 382 articles. After screening, only 10 articles met the eligibility criteria and were included. Five studies were qualitative, one quantitative and four were mixed methods. Five main themes relevant to decision‐making processes in telehealth were identified: characteristics of decision‐making in telehealth, patient factor, clinician factor, CDSS factor and external influencing factor.The decision‐making process in telehealth is a complicated cognitive process influenced by multi‐faceted components, including patient factors, clinician factors, external influencing factors and technological factors.Telehealth carries higher risk and uncertainty than face‐to‐face encounters. CDSS, rather than bringing unification and clarity, seems to bring more divergence and ambiguity. Nitrogen and phosphorus resorption (NRE and PRE) is a critical nutrient conservation mechanism maintaining plant growth in already disturbed barren ecosystems. The complexity of plant nutrient resorption variations in long-term grazing regions is regulated by plant traits, nutritional utilization strategies, and soil conditions following changes in grazing patterns. Therefore, a detailed investigation into their underlying mechanism is still required. Here we investigated leaf nutrient concentration and resorption in dominant species Cleistogenes songorica (C. squarrosa) and Stipa breviflora (S. breviflora) response to 15-years continuous grazing (moderate and heavy grazing) in desert steppe. Moderate grazing enhanced green leaf N and P content in C. songorica and partially increased N content in S. breviflora. Heavy grazing consistently increased N content in C. songorica, but its P content as well as N and P content in S. breviflora were largely stable. Moderate grazing enhanced NRE but unaffected PRE in both S. breviflora and C. songorica. Heavy grazing reduced NRE and PRE in C. songorica. Although soil variables (nutrients and moisture) did not affect foliar nutrients, it’s a key driver of nutrient resorption efficiency. Of all measured influence factors, soil moisture is the one most important and negatively correlated with NRE and PRE in S. breviflora. While it was not observed in C. songorica. In S. breviflora, its NRE was adversely linked with soil N, in addition, both NRE and PRE were positively associated with green leaf nutrients. Senesced leaf nutrients are the predominant factor influencing nutrient resorption efficiency in C. songorica, which were adversely associated. Overall, our results indicate significant variations in nutrient resorption efficiency patterns between the two dominant species due to divergent plant adaptation strategies to grazing and the local environment. Background: Proximal tubular cells (PTCs) play a critical role in the progression of diabetic kidney disease (DKD). As one of important progenitor markers, CD133 was reported to indicate the regeneration of dedifferentiated PTCs in acute kidney disease. However, its role in chronic DKD is unclear. Therefore, we aimed to investigate the expression patterns and elucidate its functional significance of CD133 in DKD. Methods: Data mining was employed to illustrate the expression and molecular function of CD133 in PTCs in human DKD. Subsequently, rat models representing various stages of DKD progression were established. The expression of CD133 was confirmed in DKD rats, as well as in human PTCs (HK-2 cells) and rat PTCs (NRK-52E cells) exposed to high glucose. The immunofluorescence and flow cytometry techniques were utilized to determine the expression patterns of CD133, utilizing proliferative and injury indicators. After overexpression or knockdown of CD133 in HK-2 cells, the cell proliferation and apoptosis were detected by EdU assay, real-time cell analysis and flow analysis. Additionally, the evaluation of epithelial, progenitor cell, and apoptotic indices was performed through western blot and quantitative RT-PCR analyses. Results: The expression of CD133 was notably elevated in both human and rat PTCs in DKD, and this expression increased as DKD progressed. CD133 was found to be co-expressed with CD24, KIM-1, SOX9, and PCNA, suggesting that CD133+ cells were damaged and associated with proliferation. In terms of functionality, the knockdown of CD133 resulted in a significant reduction in proliferation and an increase in apoptosis in HK-2 cells compared to the high glucose stimulus group. Conversely, the overexpression of CD133 significantly mitigated high glucose-induced cell apoptosis, but had no impact on cellular proliferation. Furthermore, the Nephroseq database provided additional evidence to support the correlation between CD133 expression and the progression of DKD. Analysis of single-cell RNA-sequencing data revealed that CD133+ PTCs potentially play a role in the advancement of DKD through multiple mechanisms, including heat damage, cell microtubule stabilization, cell growth inhibition and tumor necrosis factor-mediated signaling pathway. Conclusion: Our study demonstrates that the upregulation of CD133 is linked to cellular proliferation and protects PTC from apoptosis in DKD and high glucose induced PTC injury. We propose that heightened CD133 expression may facilitate cellular self-protective responses during the initial stages of high glucose exposure. However, its sustained increase is associated with the pathological progression of DKD. In conclusion, CD133 exhibits dual roles in the advancement of DKD, necessitating further investigation. To compare the therapeutic effect of less invasive surfactant administration (LISA) followed by synchronized nasal intermittent positive pressure ventilation (SNIPPV) and traditional intubate-Surfactant-Extubate (InSurE) strategy for the treatment of neonatal respiratory distress syndrome (NRDS). A single-center, non-randomized and single- blinded study Tertiary neonatal intensive care unit 89 infants enrolled were preterm with gestational age < 366/7 weeks and clinically diagnosed with neonatal RDS (NRDS) Interventions: 32 infants were assigned to the LISA + SNIPPV group and 57 infants to the InSurE + nCPAP group. No statistically significant differences were noted in the baseline characteristics of the enrolled infants. A lower proportion of infants developed BPD in the LISA + SNIPPV group compared to the InSurE + CPAP group [10 (31.25%) vs. 21 (36.84%), P > 0.05]; however, there was no statistically significant difference. The number needed to treat (NNT) with LISA + SNIPPV to prevent BPD development is 18. The mortality rate was not significant between our study arms [1 (3.13%) vs 2 (3.51%), P > 0.05]. There were no statistically significant differences in the durations (days) of MV [(12.18 ± 13.89) vs. (11.35 ± 11.61), P > 0.05], oxygen therapy [(35.03 ± 19.13) vs. (39.75 ± 17.91), P > 0.05] and re-intubation rates [(0.19 ± 0.40) vs. (0.21 ± 0.45), P > 0.05] between the two study groups. In terms of complications, the incidence of patent ductus arteriosus (PDA) [24 (75.00%) vs. 27 (47.37%), P < 0.05] was higher and a lower rate of disturbed liver function [1 (3.23%) vs. 19 (33.33%), P < 0.05] were observed in the LISA + SNIPPV group. Acid–base imbalances were reportedly significantly higher in the InSurE group (P < 0.05). No significant differences in other complications were noted. The application prospects of carbon/carbon composites are greatly limited by interfacial cracks and pores caused by binder pitch displacement and cracking during high-temperature carbonization. In this study, silane coupling agent was coated on the surface of oxygen plasma-treated carbon fibers (CFs) and subsequently electrostatically self-assembled with sulfonated graphene (SG) to improve the interfacial bonding between filler and CTP. The results indicate that the tensile strength of carbon fiber treated with silane coupling agent increased by 19 % compared to untreated CF. This increase in strength may be related to the layer of silane coupling agent that repaired the grooves and imperfections on the CF surface. The addition of SG not only improves the distribution characteristics of the fibers, allowing the silane-treated CF to play a greater role in the matrix, but also creates a three-dimensional hydrogen-bonded cross-linking between the SG and the coal tar pitch (CTP) on the surface of the fibers. This inhibits CTP displacement and pyrolysis, achieving a tight bonding of the fiber to the matrix. The composites' structural integrity and mechanical properties were significantly improved due to the synergistic effect of silane-treated CF and SG. The compressive strength was 216.98 MPa, with a flexural strength of 54.78 MPa, 250 % higher than the untreated carbon fiber-reinforced composites. Additionally, the porosity decreased by 31.5 %, and the antioxidant properties increased. Excessive macroautophagy/autophagy leads to pancreatic β-cell failure that contributes to the development of diabetes. Our previous study proved that the occurrence of deleterious hyperactive autophagy attributes to glucolipotoxicity-induced NR3C1 activation. Here, we explored the potential protective effects of (-)-epigallocatechin 3-gallate (EGCG) on β-cell-specific NR3C1 overexpression mice in vivo and NR3C1-enhanced β cells in vitro. We showed that EGCG protects pancreatic β cells against NR3C1 enhancement-induced failure through inhibiting excessive autophagy. RNA demethylase FTO (FTO alpha-ketoglutarate dependent dioxygenase) caused diminished m6A modifications on mRNAs of three pro-oxidant genes (Tlr4, Rela, Src) and, hence, oxidative stress occurs; by contrast, EGCG promotes FTO degradation by the ubiquitin-proteasome system in NR3C1-enhanced β cells, which alleviates oxidative stress, and thereby prevents excessive autophagy. Moreover, FTO overexpression abolishes the beneficial effects of EGCG on β cells against NR3C1 enhancement-induced damage. Collectively, our results demonstrate that EGCG protects pancreatic β cells against NR3C1 enhancement-induced excessive autophagy through suppressing FTO-stimulated oxidative stress, which provides novel insights into the mechanisms for the anti-diabetic effect of EGCG. Straw addition markedly affects the soil aggregates and microbial community structure. However, its influence on the profile of antibiotic resistance genes (ARGs), which are likely associated with changes in bacterial life strategies, remains unclear. To clarify this issue, a soil microcosm experiment was incubated under aerobic (WS) or anaerobic (AnWS) conditions after straw addition, and metagenomic sequencing was used to characterise ARGs and bacterial communities in soil aggregates. The results showed that straw addition shifted the bacterial life strategies from K- to r-strategists in all aggregates, and the aerobic and anaerobic conditions stimulated the growth of aerobic and anaerobic r-strategist bacteria, respectively. The WS decreased the relative abundances of dominant ARGs such as QnrS5 , whereas the AnWS increased their abundance. After straw addition, the macroaggregates consistently exhibited a higher number of significantly altered bacteria and ARGs than the silt+clay fractions. Network analysis revealed that the WS increased the number of aerobic r-strategist bacterial nodes and fostered more interactions between r-and K-strategist bacteria, thus promoting ARGs prevalence, whereas AnWS exhibited an opposite trend. These findings provide a new perspective for understanding the fate of ARGs and their controlling factors in soil ecosystems after straw addition. Straw soil amendment has been recommended to mitigate soil fertility degradation, improve soil structure, and ultimately increase crop yields. However, our findings highlight the importance of the elevated prevalence of ARGs associated with r-strategist bacteria in macroaggregates following the addition of organic matter, particularly fresh substrates. In addition, when assessing the environmental risk posed by ARGs in soil that receives crop straw, it is essential to account for the soil moisture content. Four new monomeric sorbicillinoids, trichillinoids A − D (1 – 4), along with two known dimeric sorbicillinoids (5 and 6), and five known monomeric sorbicillinoids (7 – 11), were obtained from the marine-fish-derived fungus Trichoderma sp. G13. They were structurally characterized on the basis of comprehensive spectroscopic investigations (NMR, HRESIMS, and ECD). While childhood maltreatment is understood to be a significant risk factor for adolescent internalizing problems (depression and anxiety), underlying mechanisms linking each type of maltreatment to internalizing problems in adolescents remain unclear. Moreover, the current state of knowledge regarding the associations between maladaptive cognitive emotion regulation strategies and each type of maltreatment, as well as their impact on adolescent internalizing problems, is limited. Additionally, it remains unclear whether these maladaptive strategies mediate this relationship. This study sought to investigate the effects of childhood maltreatment types on adolescent internalizing problems and to explore whether the overall and specific types of maladaptive strategies mediate these associations. Using a cross-sectional design, adolescents (N = 7071, M age = 14.05 years, SD age = 1.54) completed online questionnaires assessing childhood maltreatment, maladaptive cognitive emotion regulation strategies (including rumination, catastrophizing, self-blame, and other-blame), anxiety, and depression. The hypothesized mediating effects were tested using the Lavaan package in R software (4.1.2). Different maltreatment types had varying effects on adolescent internalizing problems. Emotional neglect, emotional abuse, and sexual abuse significantly affected anxiety and depression, whereas physical neglect and physical abuse did not. Other than physical neglect and physical abuse, overall maladaptive strategies mediated the relationship between the other three types of maltreatment (emotional abuse, emotional neglect, and sexual abuse) and internalizing problems (anxiety and depression). For specific maladaptive strategies, rumination mediated the effects of physical abuse, emotional abuse, emotional neglect, and sexual abuse on internalizing problems (anxiety and depression). In contrast, catastrophizing mediated the relationship between physical neglect, emotional abuse, emotional neglect, sexual abuse and internalizing problems (anxiety and depression). These results suggest that the effects of maltreatment types on internalizing problems are different and that maladaptive strategies, particularly rumination and catastrophizing, are important mechanisms through which childhood maltreatment affects internalizing problems. A practical visual detection method was established to detect Porphyromonas gingivalis (P. gingivalis) by employing a combination of recombinase polymerase amplification and lateral flow strips (RPA-LF) assay, designed for conducting point-of-care testing in clinical settings. Primers and probes targeting the P. gingivalis pepO gene were designed. The RPA-LF assay was established by optimising reaction temperature and time, determining the limit of detection (LOD). The specificity of the method was determined by assessing its cross-reactivity with deoxyribonucleic acid from 23 pathogenic bacteria. Finally, the clinical samples from healthy controls (n = 30) and individuals with periodontitis (n = 31) were analysed. The results were compared with those obtained using real-time polymerase chain reaction (PCR). The optimal reaction temperature and time were 39 °C and 12 min. The method exhibited a LOD at 6.40 × 10−4 μg/mL and demonstrated high specificity and sensitivity during cross-reactivity assessment. The RPA-LF assay achieved a P. gingivalis detection rate of 84 % in individuals with periodontitis and 3 % in healthy controls. The results were consistent with those obtained through real-time PCR. An RPA-LF assay was developed for detecting P. gingivalis , characterised by its high sensitivity, high specificity, simple operational procedure, and rapid reaction time. In this work, a photopolymerizable polyurethane oligomer (PETU) with thiourethane bonds was designed and synthesized. Afterwards, the near-infrared responsive self-healing polyurethane films (PETU-HI-X) were fabricated by photopolymerization using homemade PETU, polydopamine (PDA), and commercially available isobornyl acrylate (IBOA) and 2-hydroxyethyl acrylate (HEA). PETU-HI-X have good photopolymerization and photothermal conversion performance. The as-prepared near-infrared responsive self-healing polyurethane polymer PETU-HI-1.0 exhibited a tensile stress of 1.06 MPa, strain of 1021 %, initial decomposition temperature of 290 °C. In addition, the temperature of the material can rise to more than 100 °C after irradiation with near-infrared light for 3 min, showing excellent photothermal conversion performance, based on which the material shows more than 90 % self-healing efficiency after irradiation with near-infrared light for 30 min. More importantly, the near-infrared responsive self-healing polyurethane polymer PETU-HI-1.0 also has an excellent degradation property. Despite the widespread use of anaerobic soil disinfestation (ASD) to improve soil health, its impact on soil antibiotics, human pathogenic bacteria (HPB) and antibiotic resistance genes (ARGs) remains unclear. To address this knowledge gap, we conducted an incubation study in manure-amended soil with three treatments: no treatment (CK), crop straw only (CS), and CS combined with water flooding and plastic covering (ASD). The results showed that ASD increased the concentrations of tetracycline by 27 % and β-lactam by 22 %, while depleting macrolide by 51 %. Furthermore, ASD increased the numbers of potential HPB species and genes by 4.1 % and 23 %, respectively. Co-occurrence network analysis demonstrated intensified cooperation and competition among HPB and HNPB (human non-pathogenic bacteria) species under ASD, favoring the prevalence of HPB species such as Escherichia coli , Streptococcus equi , Clostridium tetani , and Bacillus anthracis. Potential HPB species in Proteobacteria exhibited negative correlations with macrolide and β-lactam antibiotics, whereas those in Firmicutes showed positive correlations with tetracycline antibiotics, suggesting that specific bacterial taxa contributed to the production and degradation of antibiotics in response to ASD. Interestingly, CS mitigated the presence of ARGs in soil, while ASD further amplified this reduction, almost eliminating nalC , acrB , OXA-60 , VIM-7 , tetL , and tetQ. The variation in ARG profiles (91.7 %) could be explained by antibiotics, HPB, and HNPB species, indicating their collective contribution to reducing soil ARGs under ASD. Moreover, host prediction and network analysis revealed that, compared with CK, where potential HPB species were the main carriers of ARGs, soil ARGs were less frequently carried by potential HPB species after ASD, indicating a reduction in the collaborative dissemination of HPB and ARGs in manured soil. School incivility is defined as low-intensity deviant behaviors with ambiguous intent that violate the norms of mutual respect at school. We explored the impact of it and propose possible measures to mitigate its negative effects on students. Drawing upon the frustration-aggression theory, we developed a moderated mediation model to examine the influence of school incivility on student state self-esteem and cyberbullying. We tested this model using a sample of 3978 students (Mean age = 17.77 years old) in China. Regression analysis results revealed that state self-esteem mediated the relationship between school incivility and cyberbullying. Additionally, the Big Five personality traits of openness, extraversion, and agreeableness moderated the indirect effect of school incivility on cyberbullying through state self-esteem. Our study contributes to theoretical and practical understanding of school incivility by enriching related research, empirically verifying the frustration-aggression theory, and identifying a potential predictor of cyberbullying. We urge increased attention to school incivility and recommend practical interventions to prevent it in the school environment. This study was aim to explore whether gut microbiota is involved in DON-induced intestinal toxicity as well as to reveal effect of probiotics derived from gut microbiota in protecting intestinal barrier and to elucidate mechanism. We found that DON caused disturbed gut microbiota, particularly Lactobacillus murinus (L. murinus) deficiency. DON enhanced M1 macrophage polarization and decreased tight junction protein expression. Microbiota transplantation experiments showed that transfer of DON-disrupted microbiota to healthy mice resulted in delivery of DON-induced intestinal toxicity. Besides, DON lost its damaging effect on macrophage and intestinal barrier in antibiotic-treated mice. Further intervention experiments revealed that L. murinus induce macrophage conversion from M1 to M2 phenotype through secreted extracellular vesicles (EVs) to alleviate DON-induced intestinal barrier disruption. Mechanistically, EVs activate TLR2 to promote M2 macrophage polarization and release IL-10, which in turn enhances intestinal barrier function. Objective: The purpose of the systematic review is to verify the presence of PANoptosis in periodontitis based on the published literatures studying cell death in periodontitis. Materials and Methods: We conducted a comprehensive review of literature studying the types of cell death in vitro cellular experiments, in vivo rodent studies and clinical studies from three major databases: PubMed, Scopus, and Web of Science. The present systematic review was recorded in the PROSPERO database, under registration number CRD42022383456. Results: In total, 51 articles were included in this study. Our analysis of in vitro cell models revealed that pyroptosis, necroptosis, and apoptosis could be induced by periodontal pathogens in macrophages, fibroblasts, stem cells, and periodontal ligament cells. Furthermore, three types of cell death were detected in in vivo rodent periodontitis models. Clinical studies on human periodontitis tissue specimens and gingival crevicular fluid (GCF) showed that some key proteins related to pyroptosis, necroptosis, and apoptosis were elevated in periodontitis. Conclusions: Various studies have established similar in vivo and in vitro models with three modes of death detected under the same conditions, revealing complex interactions between different types of cell death pathways in periodontitis and the potential for PANoptosis to occur in periodontitis. The combination of biomass and liquid metal (LM) makes the preparation process "greener" and application of LM composite materials more sustainable. Here we reported the solvent free preparation of lignosulfonate (LS) stabilized eutectic gallium/indium (EGaIn) LM nanodroplets through ball milling (BM), which was recognized to be efficient and environmentally-friendly alternatives to solution-based methods. By regulating the BM frequency and milling time, uniform LM nanodroplets with a size <200 nm can be achieved. Moreover, the surface of the EGaIn nanodroplets was covered by LS molecules, owing to the hydrogen bond formed between Ga 2 O 3 and LS. Hydrophilic LS shell endowed the LS@EGaIn nanodroplets excellent colloidal stability in the aqueous media. The elongation at break and fracture strength of hydrogel with the addition of LS@EGaIn significantly improved with the addition of LS@EGaIn. Besides, the conductivity and excellent stress responsibility of the LS@EGaIn composite hydrogel illustrated its potential application as s a stress sensor, flexible wearable devices and other related applications. Pregnant women with vulvovaginal candidiasis (VVC) may experience adverse pregnancy outcomes such as premature delivery, intrauterine infection, abortion, and neonatal infection. Therefore, finding new treatments for VVC in pregnancy is a public health priority. We aimed to study the adverse consequences of Candida albicans (C. albicans) vaginal infection in pregnant mice and explore the mechanisms by which C. albicans affects macrophages. Our findings contribute to the development of new approaches to treat VVC during pregnancy. We established an animal model of vaginal infection by C. albicans in pregnant mice and observed adverse pregnancy outcomes such as decreased body weight, reduced implantation number, and increased abortion rates. Additionally, we infected mouse macrophage line RAW264.7 cells with C. albicans and established a cell model. We employed RT-qPCR, Western blot, and immunofluorescence staining to verify the changes in the IL-15/STAT5 signaling pathway and the role it played on the M1 polarization of C. albicans -infected macrophages at both the gene and protein levels. Our results indicate that the adverse pregnancy outcomes in VVC may be linked to changes in the IL-15/STAT5 pathway induced by C. albicans , which could impact macrophage M1 polarization. Gold nanoparticles (AuNPs) have emerged as highly competitive catalysts. However, the precise regulation of intrinsic structural parameters that account for the activity of AuNPs remains a challenge in designing high-performance electrocatalysts. Herein, the layered yttrium hydroxide (LYH) nanosheets supported AuNPs are prepared via a facile electrochemical deposition method. The tunability of morphology in LYH support and their utilization in controlling the growth of small AuNPs with uniform dispersion are emphasized. Finally, a novel sensor is constructed using flower-like AuNPs/LYH modified electrodes, which allows for simultaneous determination of the dihydroxybenzene isomers hydroquinone and catechol with good sensitivity, reproducibility and stability. The excellent performance can be attributed to the synergistic effects between AuNPs and LYHs. The strategy of depositing gold onto LYH nanosheets and the resulting high performance provide new approaches for further developing highly efficient composite electrodes across a wide range of applications. Background: Esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC) is one of the leading causes of digestive system tumor related death in the world. Unfortunately, effective chemopreventive agent is lack for patients with ESCC in clinical practice, which leads to the extremely high mortality rate. Methods: A library of prescribed drugs was screened for finding critical anti-tumor properties in ESCC cells. The phosphoproteomics, kinase array, pulldown assay and drug affinity responsive target stabilization assay (DARTS) were applied to explore mechanisms and searched for synergistic targets. Established models of PDX in mice were used to determine the therapeutic effect of domperidone. Results: After screening a library of prescribed drugs, we discovered that domperidone has anti-tumor properties. Domperidone, acting as a gastroprokinetic agent, has been widely used in clinic for gastrointestinal motility disorders. Despite limited research, there are indications that domperidone may have anti-tumor properties. In this study, we determined that domperidone significantly inhibited ESCC proliferation in vitro and in vivo. We employed phosphoproteomics to reveal p-ERK, and p-SMAD3 down-regulation upon domperidone treatment. Then, the results of kinase assay and pulldown assay further validated that domperidone directly combined with MEK1/2 and CDK4, leading to the inhibition of their kinase activity. Furthermore, our results revealed that MEK/ERK and CDK4/SMAD3 signal pathway were major pathways in domperidone against ESCC. Conclusion: Collectively, these findings suggest that domperidone serves as an effective "multi-target" inhibitor of MEK1/2 and CDK4, offering potential benefits for the chemoprevention of ESCC. Whirlpool is a hash function that has been standardized by ISO/IEC. In this paper, we develop a new type of distinguishing property for its underlying permutation |$ W $|⁠. Division property proposed by Todo at EUROCRYPT 2015 was initially used in the integral cryptanalysis of symmetric-key algorithms. This work for the first time utilizes the MILP method to search for the integral distinguishers of |$ W $| in both the forward and backward directions while concentrating on word-based division property. Under the known-key model, the fact that the permutation used in the hash function does not depend on any secret parameters allows the previous properties to be exploited from the middle, i.e. from an intermediate internal state. Therefore, we apply the inside-out strategy which is the essential step in the zero-sum property to connect the trails in opposite directions. Consequently, we obtain new distinguishers up to full rounds for the |$ W $|⁠. To further reduce the complexity of the integral distinguishers, we add one round in the middle with the help of subspace trails. Finally, we succeed in extending the length and improving the complexity of the integral distinguishers. To the best of our knowledge, all the results in this paper are competitive with the previous work in both computational cost and memory complexity. Synthetic aperture radar (SAR) is prevalent in the remote sensing field but is difficult to interpret by human visual perception. Recently, SAR-to-optical (S2O) image conversion methods have provided a prospective solution. However, since there is a substantial domain difference between optical and SAR images, they suffer from low image quality and geometric distortion in the produced optical images. Motivated by the analogy between pixels during the S2O image translation and molecules in a heat field, a thermodynamics-inspired network for SAR-to-optical image translation (S2O-TDN) is proposed in this paper. Specifically, we design a third-order finite difference (TFD) residual structure in light of the TFD equation of thermodynamics, which allows us to efficiently extract inter-domain invariant features and facilitate the learning of nonlinear translation mapping. In addition, we exploit the first law of thermodynamics (FLT) to devise an FLT-guided branch that promotes the state transition of the feature values from an unstable diffusion state to a stable one, aiming to regularize the feature diffusion and preserve image structures during S2O image translation. S2O-TDN follows an explicit design principle derived from thermodynamic theory and enjoys the advantage of explainability. Multilabel remote sensing image classification (MLRSIC) has received increasing research interest. Taking the co-occurrence relationship of multiple labels as additional information helps to improve the overall performance. However, current methods only focus on using it to constrain the final feature which is output from a convolutional neural network (CNN). On the one hand, these methods need to exploit the potential of label correlation in feature representation fully. On the other hand, they increase the label noise sensitivity of the system, resulting in poor robustness. In this paper, a novel method called 'Semantic Interleaving Global chaNnel Attention' (SIGNA) is proposed for MLRSIC. First, the label co-occurrence graph is obtained according to the statistical information of the training set and fed into a graph neural network (GNN) to generate optimal semantic feature representations of each label. Next, the semantic features are interleaved with visual features which are extracted by CNNs to guide the overall features of the input image transform from the original feature space to the semantic feature space with embedded label relations. Then, global attention triggered by semantic interleaving is used to emphasize visual features in important channels. Finally, to make SIGNA easier to use and more optimized, multihead SIGNA-based feature adaptive weighting networks are proposed as plug-in blocks to plug into any layers of a CNN. For remote sensing images, better classification performance can be achieved by inserting the plug-in blocks into the shallow layers of CNNs. We conducted extensive experimental comparisons on three data sets: UCM, AID and DFC15. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed SIGNA achieves superior classification performance compared to state-of-the-art (SOTA) methods. The carbon emissions trading system (CETS) is a helpful policy instrument for separating carbon emissions from economic expansion, and it significantly impacts energy efficiency (EE). This study uses 30 Chinese provinces from 2007 to 2020 as its research samples, and classifies energy efficiency into single-factor energy efficiency (SFE) and total-factor energy efficiency (TFE), using the difference-in-differences model to examine the effect and mechanism of the CETS on EE. As an additional tool to assess the efficacy of the CETS, the corresponding evolution of the rebound effect of energy-related carbon emissions (RECE) is also calculated. This study shows that the CETS can significantly improve EE in China's pilot provinces. The influence mechanism indicates that the effect of the CETS on EE is influenced by the level of government governance, green innovation, and industrial structure optimization. Further study finds that after the CETS was carried out, the RECE in pilot provinces was higher than that in non-pilot provinces, and 31.4% of carbon emissions reduced by EE improvement rebounded. Therefore, the CETS has yet to realize its full carbon reduction potential. The study offers specific policy proposals for the enhancement of China's CETS in light of the aforementioned findings. Addressing the global challenge of traffic crashes necessitates transcending traditional statistical models, which often fail to fully capture the interactions between factors causing crashes. This oversight restricts the predictive accuracy and adaptability of current methodologies. Additionally, there is a notable gap in research that examines the links between behavior-cause relationships and crash injury severity. Our study deploys Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Frequent Pattern (FP) growth algorithm to mine crash narratives for behavior-cause connections, combines with the predictive strength of eXtreme Gradient Boosting (XGBoost) and the interpretative clarity offered by SHapley Additive exPlanations (SHAP), our approach not only predicts crash injury severity with satisfactory precision but also explains the influence of specific behavior-cause and environment conditions on crash outcomes. • Impact of fractal dimension on aggregate scattering cross-section predicted by EMA was assessed. • Condition when EMA is more accurate than RDG-FA was proposed with reference to MSTM. • A critical aggregate size parameter value for which EMA is applicable was suggested. Particles within aggregates are commonly in a status of dependent scattering due to the near-field multiple scattering and far-field interferences from neighboring particles. The integral radiative characteristics of fractal aggregates are consequently not only influenced by the monomer size parameter x s , the refractive index n m , and the monomer number N s , but also tied to the fractal dimension D f. The effective-medium approximation (EMA) simplifies the calculation of aggregate radiative characteristics by treating an aggregate and its surrounding medium as a homogeneous sphere with an effective refractive index, and by applying the Lorenz-Mie theory to this equivalent sphere. The study aims to assess the applicability of EMA to predict the scattering cross-section of fractal aggregates consisting of non-absorbing monomers with x s , varying from 0.001 to 1.25, N s ranging from 10 to 500, under different fractal dimensions D f. The accurate results obtained using the multiple spheres T-matrix were used as a reference. In addition, the RDG-FA (Rayleigh-Deybe-Gans Fractal Aggregates) theory, which is widely used for aggregates with monomer size x s ≪ 1, was also evaluated for comparison. The finding reveals that both EMA and RDG-FA provide accurate predictions for aggregates satisfying the equivalent aggregate size parameter χ m less than D f , where the dependent scattering is limited. As the dependent scattering effect increases, the fractal dimension D f emerges as a critical factor influencing EMA's accuracy, with EMA excelling for aggregates with larger fractal dimensions close to 3. However, standalone biomass materials suffer from the drawback of low adsorption capacity. In this study, by the combination of metal–organic frameworks (MOFs) with organic biomaterials, a novel aerogel of aminated ZIF-8 composite cellulose (CPEZN) was developed for molybdenum ions adsorption, and the incorporation of aminated ZIF-8 improved the availability of reactive groups. The unique aerogel structure effectively prevented the accumulation of MOFs, thereby increasing the specific surface area and improving the exposure of active site. In addition, the positively charged surface of CPEZN effectively adsorbed molybdenum ions. Experimental results showed that the introduction of ZIF-8-NH 2 improved the adsorption performance of the composites. The adsorption of Mo(VI) followed the Langmuir adsorption isotherm model, and its adsorption rate followed the pseudo-second-order model. The adsorbent exhibited a maximum Mo(VI) adsorption capacity of 872.39 mg/g at pH = 3, and a removal rate of more than 80 % in mixed coexisting ion solutions. Moreover, the adsorbent demonstrated good stability, with a removal rate of above 80 % after 5 cycles of adsorption. Comprehensive characterizations revealed that the adsorption mechanism of Mo(VI) on CPEZN was a synergistic effect of chemisorption, electrostatic interaction, redox, and complex ligand processes. The simulated industrial wastewater adsorption experiment showed that the prepared adsorbent had good removal ability for molybdenum ions. The current review critically evaluated the efficiency of AOPs in improving the SCFAs production from WAS. Various oxidants (including CaO 2 , peracetic acid, sodium percarbonate, O 3 , persulfate, sulfite, K 2 FeO 4 , KMnO 4 and periodate) can generate different types of highly reactive species to promote the release of biodegradable substrates, and SCFAs yield. Moreover, the positive effects of emerging contaminants (ECs) on SCFAs production were fully investigated, and the efficiencies of AOPs for ECs removal from WAS were analyzed. Finally, intrinsic limitations and opportunities of AOPs-based conditioning techniques in SCFAs production from WAS were proposed. Based on these developments and challenges, an integrated solution in SCFAs production from WAS in wastewater treatment plants was constructed to realize the transition from "linear economy" to "circular economy". This review provides theoretical support for the development of practical engineering with more economical, environmentally friendly and high efficiency regarding the application of AOPs in SCFAs production from WAS. Background and purpose Methods Results Conclusion Human motor planning and control depend highly on optimal feedback control systems, such as the neocortex–cerebellum circuit. Here, diffusion tensor imaging was used to verify the disruption of the neocortex–cerebellum circuit in spinocerebellar ataxia type 3 (SCA3), and the circuit's disruption correlation with SCA3 motor dysfunction was investigated.This study included 45 patients with familial SCA3, aged 17–67 years, and 49 age‐ and sex‐matched healthy controls, aged 21–64 years. Tract‐based spatial statistics and probabilistic tractography was conducted using magnetic resonance images of the patients and controls. The correlation between the local probability of probabilistic tractography traced from the cerebellum and clinical symptoms measured using specified symptom scales was also calculated.The cerebellum‐originated probabilistic tractography analysis showed that structural connectivity, mainly in the subcortical cerebellar–thalamo–cortical tract, was significantly reduced and the cortico–ponto–cerebellar tract was significantly stronger in the SCA3 group than in the control group. The enhanced tract was extended to the right lateral parietal region and the right primary motor cortex. The enhanced neocortex–cerebellum connections were highly associated with disease progression, including duration and symptomatic deterioration. Tractography probabilities from the cerebellar to parietal and sensorimotor areas were significantly negatively correlated with motor abilities in patients with SCA3.To our knowledge, this study is the first to reveal that disrupting the neocortex–cerebellum loop can cause SCA3‐induced motor dysfunctions. The specific interaction between the cerebellar–thalamo–cortical and cortico–ponto–cerebellar pathways in patients with SCA3 and its relationship with ataxia symptoms provides a new direction for future research. Previously, our team has successfully developed ultra-fine whole macadamia butter (WMB, D [4,3] ＜20 μm) using a novel high energy media mill (HEMM), which showed poor storage stability. In this study, we aimed to enhance the stability of WMB by incorporating four low molecular weight gelators—monoglyceride stearate (MG), beeswax (BW), rice bran wax (RBW), γ-oryzanol and β-sitosterol mixture (SO)—based on the oleogelation mechanism. The effects of different oleogelation mechanisms on its microstructure, texture, storage stability, rheological behavior, spreadability and 3D printability were investigated. The results revealed distinct minimum gelation concentration for different gelators, with all gelators significantly improving the storage stability and hardness of WMB. At a gelator of 3.0%, the centrifugal oil yield for MG, BW, SO and RBW-based WMB decreased by 82.6%, 56.6%, 42.7% and 83.4%, respectively, which was closely related to the small particle size and more uniform distribution of protein particles within the system. Moreover, all samples exhibited a pseudoplastic fluid behavior. Additionally, the appropriate addition of gelators improved the spreadability and 3D printability of WMB. The results provide new insights for the development and application of high oil-based products. Harvesting ocean salinity energy has attracted large attentions based on different kinds of asymmetric ionic membranes. Gradient polyelectrolyte hydrogels demonstrated superior power generation capacity due to their abundant charged groups and rectification behaviors. However, they generally suffer from the electrostatic screening and dramatic swelling, leading to unsatisfactory energy conversion performance. Here, an anti-swelling, salt-tolerant gradient polyanion hydrogel is reported for high-efficiency osmotic energy conversion. The gradient polyanion hydrogel is prepared by ultraviolet (UV) induced copolymerization of anionic monomer and aromatic monomer. Benefiting from the mutual electrostatic interaction and π-π conjugation interaction, the gradient polyanion hydrogel presents the outstanding anti-electrostatic screening and anti-swelling performance. As a result, they can maintain excellent cation selectivity and ionic diode effect for providing an ultrahigh power density of 16.4 W/m2 when mixing artificial seawater and river water. One of the common illnesses that affect women's physical and mental health is urinary tract infection (UTI). The disappointing results of empirical anti-infective treatment and the lengthy time required for urine bacterial culture are two issues. Antibiotic misuse is common, especially in females who experience recurrent UTI (rUTI). This leads to a higher prevalence of antibiotic resistance in the microorganisms that cause the infection. Antibiotic therapy will face major challenges in the future, prompting clinicians to update their practices. New testing techniques are making the potential association between the urogenital microbiota and UTIs increasingly apparent. Monitoring changes in female urinary tract (UT) microbiota, as well as metabolites, may be useful in exploring newer preventive treatments for UTIs. This review focuses on advances in urogenital microbiology and organismal metabolites relevant to the identification and handling of UTIs in an attempt to provide novel methods for the identification and management of infections of the UT. An energy transition programme based on the principles of energy justice is an important way to mitigate climate change; however, empirical studies on energy justice remain scarce. This study explores key aspects of energy transition policy implementation in China, using three dimensions of energy justice – distributional, recognition and procedural justice – to establish an analytical framework and help develop quantification methodologies. We focused on Luquan District, Shijiazhuang City (Hebei Province, China), to assess energy justice levels following the implementation of China's 'coal-to-gas' energy transition policy in rural regions. The findings indicate that China's rural energy policy has not delivered energy justice. Analysis revealed a markedly low procedural justice index, registering a mere 0.37 on a scale of 0–1, attributable to factors such as the lack of involvement of rural households and a lack of transparency in the design and formulation of policy, as well as a lack of access of rural households to policy-related information. Furthermore, insufficient acknowledgment of the needs of specific groups during the energy transition has negatively impacted recognition justice, resulting in a mid-level index value of 0.69. By comparison, this study shows reveals a reasonably high energy distributional justice index value of 0.89. These findings suggest the need for the government to enhance energy policy communication and responsiveness to its stakeholders, to acknowledge and fairly address the energy transition needs of rural consumers, and to implement targeted energy subsidies to augment distributional justice and preclude the waste of limited financial resources. The analytical framework and calculation methods presented here could contribute to quantifying energy justice levels and to informing energy transition policy both in China and more broadly elsewhere in the world. Since 2013, implementation of China's 'coal-to-gas' energy transition policy has engendered impacts on different dimensions of social justice that have influenced the realization of a just transition. A composite index system is established, encompassing distributional justice, recognition justice, and procedural justice, and quantitative exploration of energy justice is undertaken using a reverse deduction method. The greatest losses in justice, following implementation of China's 'coal-to-gas' energy transition policy, are related to procedural justice, whereas recognition justice incurs moderate losses, and distributional justice experiences the lowest level of losses. Acknowledging the disparities among different groups, the ideal allocation of energy subsidies should be actualized through preliminary surveys, consultation and coordination, thereby preventing resource wastage. Recognizing individual rights and guaranteeing that the policy implementation process is open, transparent and participatory, could enhance energy justice and movement toward a just transition in the context of climate change policy. Background: Extensive evidence demonstrates correlations among gut microbiota, lipid metabolism and cognitive function. However, there is still a lack of researches in the field of late-life depression (LLD). This research targeted at investigating the relationship among gut microbiota, lipid metabolism indexes, such as total free fatty acids (FFAs), and cognitive functions in LLD. Methods: Twenty-nine LLD patients from the Cognitive Outcome Cohort Study of Depression in Elderly were included. Cognitive functions were estimated through the Chinese version of Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MoCA). Blood samples were collected to evaluate serum lipid metabolism parameters. Fecal samples were evaluated for gut microbiota determination via 16S rRNA sequencing. Spearman correlation, linear regression and mediation analysis were utilized to explore relationship among gut microbiota, lipid metabolism and cognitive function in LLD patients. Results: Spearman correlation analysis revealed significant correlations among Akkermansia abundance, total Free Fatty Acids (FFAs) and MoCA scores (P < 0.05). Multiple regression indicated Akkermansia and total FFAs significantly predicted MoCA scores (P < 0.05). Mediation analysis demonstrated that the correlation between decreased Akkermansia relative abundance and cognitive decline in LLD patients was partially mediated by total FFAs (Bootstrap 95%CI: 0.023–0.557), accounting for 43.0% of the relative effect. Conclusion: These findings suggested a significant relationship between cognitive functions in LLD and Akkermansia, as well as total FFAs. Total FFAs partially mediated the relationship between Akkermansia and cognitive functions. Spinocerebellar ataxia type 3 (SCA3) is an inherited movement disorder characterized by a progressive decline in motor coordination. Despite the extensive functional connectivity (FC) alterations reported in previous SCA3 studies in the cerebellum and cerebellar‐cerebral pathways, the influence of these FC disturbances on the hierarchical organization of cerebellar functional regions remains unclear. Here, we compared 35 SCA3 patients with 48 age‐ and sex‐matched healthy controls using a combination of voxel‐based morphometry and resting‐state functional magnetic resonance imaging to investigate whether cerebellar hierarchical organization is altered in SCA3. Utilizing connectome gradients, we identified the gradient axis of cerebellar hierarchical organization, spanning sensorimotor to transmodal (task‐unfocused) regions. Compared to healthy controls, SCA3 patients showed a compressed hierarchical organization in the cerebellum at both voxel‐level (p <.05, TFCE corrected) and network‐level (p <.05, FDR corrected). This pattern was observed in both intra‐cerebellar and cerebellar‐cerebral gradients. We observed that decreased intra‐cerebellar gradient scores in bilateral Crus I/II both negatively correlated with SARA scores (left/right Crus I/II: r = −.48/−.50, p =.04/.04, FDR corrected), while increased cerebellar‐cerebral gradients scores in the vermis showed a positive correlation with disease duration (r =.48, p =.04, FDR corrected). Control analyses of cerebellar gray matter atrophy revealed that gradient alterations were associated with cerebellar volume loss. Further FC analysis showed increased functional connectivity in both unimodal and transmodal areas, potentially supporting the disrupted cerebellar functional hierarchy uncovered by the gradients. The construction of highly active and stable transition phosphide-based materials is widely regarded as an alternative approach to the use of Pt-based catalysts in the field of electrocatalytic hydrogen evolution. Herein, self-supported heterostructure Co–Ni phosphides (denoted as CoxNi1−x-P) were synthesized with different metal ratios by a low temperature electrodeposition strategy. Impressively, the optimized heterogeneous Co0.5Ni0.5-P nanocomposites displayed outstanding hydrogen evolution performance, with low overpotentials of 67 mV and 181 mV to deliver current densities of 10 mA cm−2 and 100 mA cm−2 in alkaline electrolyte. X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy revealed the optimized electronic structure of Co0.5Ni0.5-P, which led to an improvement in the conductivity. Density functional theory calculations demonstrated that the Co0.5Ni0.5-P heterostructure could provide a more optimal water-dissociation-related Volmer process for hydrogen evolution reaction (HER), in which water molecules could be easily activated on Co0.5Ni0.5-P with a low energy barrier. Purpose: There are some challenges to diagnosis in the context of similar diagnostic criteria for late-life depression (LLD) and adult depression due to cognitive impairment and other clinical manifestations. The association between gut microbiota and inflammation remains unclear in LLD. We analyzed gut microbiota characteristics and serum inflammatory cytokines in individuals with LLD to explore the combined role of these two factors in potential biomarkers of LLD. Methods: This was an observational cross-sectional study. Fecal samples and peripheral blood from 29 patients and 33 sex- and age-matched healthy controls (HCs) were collected to detect gut microbiota and 12 inflammatory factors. We analyzed differences in diversity and composition of gut microbiota and evaluated relations among gut microbiota, inflammatory factors, and neuropsychological scales. We extracted potential biomarkers using receiver-operating characteristic curve analysis to predict LLD utilizing the combination of the microbiota and inflammatory cytokines. Results: Elevated systemic inflammatory cytokine levels and gut microbiota dysbiosis were found in LLD patients. Relative abundance of Verrucomicrobia at the phylum level and Megamonas, Citrobacter, and Akkermansia at the genus level among LLD patients was lower than HCs. Abundance of Coprococcus, Lachnobacterium, Oscillospira, and Sutterella was higher in LLD patients. Notably, IL6, IFNγ, Verrucomicrobia, and Akkermansia levels were correlated with depression severity. Our study identified IL6, Akkermansia, and Sutterella as predictors of LLD, and their combination achieved an area under the curve of 0.962 in distinguishing LLD patients from HCs. Conclusion: This research offers evidence of changes within gut microbiota and systemic inflammation in LLD. These findings possibly help elucidate functions of gut microbiota and systemic inflammation in LLD development and offer fresh ideas on biomarkers for clinical practise in the context of LLD. Collagen, the most abundant and widely distributed functional protein in mammals, typically assembles into collagen fibrils through side-by-side packing. The purpose of this study was to comparatively investigate the fate of sea cucumber collagen fibrils in the gastrointestinal tract when interacting with different anionic polysaccharides (fucoidan (FUC), Kappa-carrageenan (K-car), sodium alginate (SA)). Results revealed that the gel properties and viscosity values of collagen fibrils were notably enhanced, and the rate of structural alteration in collagen fibrils was reduced when K-car and SA were introduced. Conversely, in the presence of FUC, collagen fibril viscosity decreased, and the secondary structure of collagen fibrils underwent changes. FUC was found to diminish the structural stability of collagen fibrils and accelerate the gastric digestion rate, which was further exacerbated by thermal treatment. All these anionic polysaccharides were observed to facilitate the formation of collagen peptide aggregates by binding to polysaccharides during intestinal digestion.
